Robert Earl Davis, age 94, of King William died August 18, 2001, the widower of Mrs. Lillie W. Davis. He is survived by two sons, Robert (Bob) E. and wife, Joyce Davis of Mechanicsville, Francis and wife, Sylvia Davis of Farmville; one brother, George Davis of Williamsburg; and a devoted friend, Mrs. Phyllis Thompson and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home, Farmville and also 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the B.W. White Funeral Home, Rt. 30, King William with Masonic Rites at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services 11 a.m. Tuesday at the B.W. White Funeral Home. Interment Jerusalem Church Cemetery. deJULIO
Doreen M. deJulio passed away August 16, 2001 at the age of 80. She was a British war bride and was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Christopher N. deJulio. She left behind two children, Gregory deJulio and his wife, Mary of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; and a daughter, Danielle Asbridge and her husband, Tim of Midlothian. She had five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. deJulio was one of the first war brides to arrive in this country during WWII. She crossed with 600 wounded men on the Ile de France. She was a graduate of Bedford School for Girls in England and a true British girl. Her life took her many places all over the world as an antique dealer and through her husband's career. Her passion in life was her family and her animals. Funeral services will be held later in Arundel, W. Sussex, England. Family will recieve friends Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd.

EAGLE
Mrs. Annie King Eagle, age 89, died in her sleep Thursday, August 16, 2001, in Saluda, Virginia. She is survived by two sons, Ronald James Eagle Jr., and Donald Rae Eagle; and one daughter, Deirdre Eagle Bradshaw. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Christopher L. Bradshaw, Ashley Bradshaw Wilson, Rebecca Eagle West, Traci Eagle, Angela Lawrence, Donald Rae Eagle Jr., and Bonita Haatanen; eight great-grandchildren, Jodi White, William MacDonald, Henry Lawrence III, Jacob Lawrence, Johnathan Lawrence, Christina Lawrence, Grace Alexandra Wilson, and Coalter Bradshaw Wilson; and three great-great-grandchildren, Lauren Rebecca White, William MacDonald Jr., and Lucas MacDonald. There will be a memorial service at Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Friday, August 24, 2001, at 2 p.m. Arrangements by Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home, Saluda.

FLEMING
Jim Clayton Fleming, age 81, of Richmond, died on Friday, August 17, 2001. He was preceded in death by his son, Jim C. Fleming Jr., a sister, Mrs. Helen Gilmore, and grandson, Matthew Fleming. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Walls Fleming; one son, Mickie A. Fleming of Richmond, two daughters, Alice Fleming Douglas of Farnham, and Susan Fleming Combs of Mechanicsville; two brothers, David Allen Fleming of Richmond and William Allen Fleming of N.C.; two sisters, Agnes Jones and Pauline Bradshaw, both of Clinton, N.C.; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Fleming was retired from SunTrust Bank and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. His remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where the family will receive friends on Sunday (today) from 1 to 2 p.m., which will be followed by a memorial service. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.

FORSYTHE
On August 17, 2001, Charlotte Johnson Forsythe left to join her predeceased husband, Ralph Thomas Forsythe, after a courageous six to seven years of illness. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia L. Mundy. At the request of her beloved husband, prior to his death, her remains will be cremated and spread with her husband. Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville in charge of arrangements.

GODWIN
Frances P. Godwin, 78, of Chase City, died August 18, 2001. She was the widow of Victor Lee Godwin and is survived by four sons, Robert Mead, Chase City, Joe Mead, Gaston, N.C., Wayne Mead, Emporia, Tony Mead, Halifax, N.C.; one daughter, Carolyn Wheeler, Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; two brothers, Horace Passmore, Melbourne, Fla., Kyle Passmore, Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; three sisters, Faye Bohannon and Elaine Turner, Roanoke Rapids, Betty Sue Castle, Nucla, Colo.; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., 7 to 9 p.m., Monday. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crestview Memorial Park, Roanoke Rapids. Wood Funeral Service, Chase City is in charge of local arrangements.

HARRIS
Leroy Herman Harris of 3411 Maryland Ave., entered eternal life on August 14, 2001. He joins his father, Leroy Washington in death. He leaves to mourn, his devoted wife, Brenda S. Harris; his devoted and loving mother, Helen Harris Carrington; three sons, two stepsons, three stepdaughters; a devoted brother, Willie J. Harris; two sisters, Gloria Strowbridge and Gail Harris, all of Richmond. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where funeral services will be held Monday, 11 a.m. Rev. James Davis officiating. Burial Quantico National Cemetery.

HOLDER
Linzie A. Holder Jr. of Richmond departed this life Monday, August 13, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Linzette; parents, Lenora and Linzie A. Holder Sr.; two sisters, Cheryl Y. Banks and Helena Holder; three brothers, Harvey C. Howard, Craig Holder and Joseph Holder; grandmother, Louise Alston; one niece, Imani Love Banks; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts., where funeral services will be held Monday, August 20, 12 p.m., Dr. Dwight C. Jones officiating. Relatives and friends attending services assemble at the funeral home Monday, 11:30 a.m.

JACKSON
Miss Chanel E. Jackson of Richmond, formerly of Charles City, departed this life August 17, 2001. The staff of the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home is serving her family.

JOHNSON
Florence Q. Johnson of Chesterfield died August 17, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Dexter E. Johnson; daughter and grandson, Jennifer and Aaron Frankey. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Luke's United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 4101 Fordham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23236.

LAWRENCE
Graveside services for Mary B. Lawrence will conducted at Oakwood Cemetery 11 a.m. today. Family and friends kindly assemble at Chiles Funeral Home at 10:45 a.m.

LEABOUGH
Ms. Gertrude (Plunk) Leabough, 70, of Henrico County, formerly of Goochland, Va., departed this life August 16, 2001. She leaves to mourn five daughters, Annie Smith, Ruth Quarles, Jean Randolph, Sharon Athey, all of Goochland and Regina Stanford of Chesapeake, Va.; three sons-in-law, Emmett Smith, James Randolph and Calvin Stanford; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a devoted nephew, William Leabough; a devoted friend, Jacob Pearson; host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Robert Mealy Funeral Home, Goochland. Funeral services will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, Goochland, Monday, August 20 at 1 p.m. Rev. Thomas Barclay, pastor, officiating. Interment church cemetery.

LEARY
Leanne McKenzie Leary, 56, of Richmond, died Saturday, August 18, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Hugh K. Leary; two sons, Charles D. Larkin and his wife, Kay of Richmond, and McKenzie Larkin and his fiancee, Amy Warner of Providence, R.I.; two stepdaughters, Katherine L. Sebastian and her husband, Jim of Takoma Park, Md., and Mary Hugh Hill and her husband, Sam of Milwaukee, Wis.; four grandchildren, Leanne McKenzie Larkin, Dillon Sebastian, Cole Sebastian and Claudio Hill; her mother, Louise Klein of Tyler, Texas; her sister, Margaret Parks and her husband, Jim; her nieces, Anna Elizabeth Parks and Lea McKenzie Parks of Austin, Texas. Mrs. Leary was a graduate of Southern Methodist University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She had been associated with Bowers Nelms & Fonville Realtors. Mrs. Leary was a member of The Country Club of Virginia, The Woman's Club, Tuckahoe Woman's Club, Tuckahoe Garden Club and was a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Richmond. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to FLAG (For the Love of Animals in Goochland), P.O. LINK
Alma Lawson Scott Link, age 98, of Alton, Va., died August 15, 2001. Born in Halifax County, Va. she was the daughter of the late Milton and Abagail Lawson. She was first married to the late Robert Scott and later married the late Ivory Link. She was a member of New Ephesus Baptist Church and was an educator and principal in the Halifax County School System for 38 years. She is survived by her daughter, Serita Morton of Halifax, Va.; three grandchildren, Regina Morton of Clinton, N.J., Sheila Rincon of Richmond, Va. and Haywood Scott of Baltimore, Md.; one great-grandchild; one son-in-law; one daughter-in-law; other relatives and friends. Services and interment will be Monday, August 20 at 11 a.m. at New Ephesus Baptist Church, Alton, Va. Family will receive friends at 3018 Howard Anderson Road, Halifax, Va. on Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. Arrangements by Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston, Va. (434) 572-2046.

LORENZO
Lena Lorenzo, 88, of Woodford, died Friday, August 17, 2001 in Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg. Mrs. Lorenzo was the widow of Antonio Remedios Lorenzo, and a lifetime member of St. Mary's of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Ladysmith. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Charlie Payne of Richmond; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Alice Lorenzo of Woodford, and Butch and Janice Lorenzo of Chugiak, Alaska; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2001 at St. Mary's of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Ladysmith, with Father Scott Duarte officiating. Burial will follow in St. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery at Welch's in Woodford. A Rosary service will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. in St. Mary's of the Annunciation, and the family will receive friends following the Rosary until 9 p.m. Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, handling arrangements.

MARCAUREL
Virginia Twisdale Marcaurel of Richmond, formerly of Norfolk, widow of Andrew J. Marcaurel, died Friday, August 17, 2001. She is survived by her sister, Norma T. Richardson of Richmond; her brother, Harvey E. Twisdale of Vienna, West Virginia; two nieces, Jerry Richardson and Terry Wagoner; and one nephew, John Twisdale, all of Richmond. Remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where the family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 20. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, Virginia at 2:30 p.m.

Harry C. Miles Sr. of Charles City departed this life August 17, 2001. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Anna C. Miles; one daughter, Ruby M. Paige (Royce); two sons, Anthony B. (Susan) and Harry C. Miles Jr., all of Charles City; one grandson, Jermaine; three granddaughters, Felicia Brown, Kendra Richardson, and Tiffany Newby; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roger of Richmond, Floyd of Indiana, and Henry Miles Sr.; four sisters, Dorothy and Emma Crawley, Abbie Talley, and Ruby Bowman; two brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at J. Leroy Charity Funeral Home, Charles City. At 11 a.m. Tuesday, Mr. Miles will rest at St. John Baptist Church, 8131 Roxbury Rd., where services will be held 1 p.m. Rev. Eddie L. MOORE
George F. (Frank) Moore, 75, of Varina, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Mary M. Moore; his sons, Carl of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Earl and his wife, Karen of Coopersburg, Pa., John and his wife, Anissa of Mechanicsville, Curtis and his wife, Paula of Varina; his sisters, Ruby Wyland of Esmont, Atlee Moore of Schuyler, Tina Brown and Gloria O'Brien, both of Scottsville; also his granddaughters, Heather, Jenna, Rachel, Terri, Kimberly and Tanya. He was retired from Philip Morris after 43 years and was a member of the VFW Battlefield Post #9808. His remains rest at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, and where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Four Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Mrs. Florence E. Parham of 12501 Lewis Rd. departed this life August 14, 2001. She is survived by her sister, Margaret C. Hopson; five sisters-in-law, Elnora Alexander, Agnes and Jennie Parham, Shirley Clarke and Ida Parham; a host of nieces and nephews, among them devoted Marion White and Anthony Lively; a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 20, 1 p.m. at Zion Chester AME Zion Church, 12541 Branders Bridge Rd., Chester, Va. Rev. John D. Conwell, Pastor, officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Va. After 12 noon Monday, remains will rest in the above named church until hour of service.
