Quietly entered into eternal rest October 10, 2001, Q'Wanda L. Martin. Her memories will live on with her mother, Barbara M. Harris; Father, John Belton; maternal grandparents, Odell Martin and Herman Martin; two brothers; Tyreese Martin and Eriq Coleman; Noelle Belton and Kadieshja Coleman; 12 aunts; six uncles; sister-in-law, Kisha Martin; a host of other relatives and friends, one very devoted aunt and friend Mary D. Martin. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 12 noon from The Richmond Christian Center, 2124 Cowardin Ave. Pastor Steve Parson, officiating Interment Oakwood Cemetery. McNIEL
Roberta Christian "Christy" McNiel, 40, of Richmond, died October 8, 2001. She is survived by her parents, John McNiel Jr. and Caroline McNiel of Richmond; sister, Caroline McNiel Anderson and husband, Kevin of Fond Du Lac, Wis.; brother, John McNiel III and wife, Natalie of Richmond. Ms McNiel was manager of engineering services for ONDEO Degremont. She was also trip coordinator for the Richmond Dive Club. There will be a memorial service held by the Richmond Dive Club at Grove Ave. Baptist Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richmond Dive Club Memorial Fund at First Market Banks at any Ukrops.

MEADE
Died October 11, 2001, Mrs. Lillie M. Meade of 219 Marableridge Rd. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Fueneral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral notice later.

MOBLEY
Russell Wynne Mobley Sr., age 75, went home to be with his Lord on October 10, 2001. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 55 years, Nellie Faye Mobley; his daughter, Sandra M. Frazier and her husband, Otis A. Frazier; his son, Russell W. Mobley Jr. and his wife, Kay Mobley; sisters, Rosa Faye Saburn and Kathreen M. Nelson; four grandchildren, Anita Morgan, Edward Smith, Spencer Mobley, and Jesse Mobley; and one great-grandchild, Cole Morgan. Mr. Mobley retired in 1986 from Du Pont after 38 years of service. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday. Interment Dale Memorial Park.

MOORE
Ethel E. Moore, 87, of Henrico, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2001. She was the widow of Robert L. Moore and is survived by two daughters, Shirley Allison and Virginia Evans and her husband, Claude; one son, James Moore and his wife, Brenda; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildern, one great-great-grandson; niece, Peggy Brannon. Mrs. Moore was a retired Henrico County School Bus driver with over 25 years of service. Her remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 12 to 2 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad.

MORRIS
Catherine Morris, late of Imperial Plaza, died September 12, 2001. There will be a Solemn Requiem Mass on Saturday, October 13, 2001 at 11 a.m., St. Luke's Church, 555 River Road West, Goochland.

MORRIS
Lester W. Morris Jr. died October 10, 2001 at age 87 after a long illness. He and his former wife started the first McDonald's restaurant in Virginia in Norfolk in 1959. They then opened the first McDonald's in Richmond in 1964 at 5520 West Broad Street, which they ran for 32 years. They dealt directly with Ray Kroc, founder of McDonald's, who at one time offered them a chain of restaurants. Mr. Morris is survived by a brother, William B. Morris; a niece, Doreen Reichenbach; and a nephew, M. Schoenthal. Services will be in the Hollywood Cemetery Mausoleum on Monday, October 15, 2001 at 2 p.m.

MOTHERSHEAD
Mrs. Ruth France Mothershead, 87, of Montross, widow of Ira Stuart Mothershead, died on October 11, 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of Ephesus Christian Church. Survivors are her son, Robert F. Mothershead of Montross; two daughters, Bonnie M. Schwarting of Albuquerque, N.M. and Paige M. Baker of Colonial Beach; three grandchildren, Robert F. Mothershead II, Joan M. Nicholas and Michael E. Schwarting; three great-grandchildren, Trent Nicholas, Derek Nicholas and Colin Schwarting. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 13 at Ephesus Christian Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Welch Funeral Home, Montross from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight. Memorial contributions may be made to Ephesus Christian Church Memorial Trust Fund, P.O. Box 1027, Montross, Va., 22520 or a charity of your choice.

PARKER
Hazel Tignor Parker entered eternal rest on October 10, 2001 following a long illness. She was 84 years old. She was the widow of retired Commander Joseph F. Parker, CHC, U.S. Navy. They met in Elmont, Va. when he was Pastor of Winn's Church from 1934 to 1937. They resided for many years in Virginia Beach, Va. Mrs. Parker was a retired first grade school teacher and Red Cross volunteer. She was a graduate of Averett College and the College of William & Mary. She is survived by a brother, Arthur Carlton Tignor of Ashland; four children, Clifton L. Parker M.D. of Richmond, Patricia Mock of Conyers, Ga., John F. Parker of Fayetteville, Ga. and Joseph P. Parker of Richmond; also 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family will gather at Reid Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy. to receive friends and family on Friday evening (tonight) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Winn's Baptist Church in Elmont at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2001. She was much beloved by her family and friends and will be missed.

PITTMAN
Arminta E. Pittman of 1936 Mountain Pine Blvd., died October 11, 2001. Remains rest at the Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Pk. Blvd. Funeral notice later.

POWELL
Miss Lisa Lamberth Powell, 31, of Richmond, died October 8, 2001 in Belize. She is survived by her parents, R. Forrest Powell and his wife, Deanie of Richmond and Sharon L. Reavis and her husband, Dean of Manakin-Sabot; her grandmother, Ethel M. Lamberth; her brother, Matthew F. Powell and his wife, Nathalie; her sister, Allison H. Dixon and her husband, Carter; her fiance, James Michael Bjorson; and her niece, Caroline E. Powell. Lisa was the manager of the Toymaker of Williamsburg in Shockoe Slip, a hostess at Buckhead's Restaurant and a member of the Richmond Dive Club. She was a 1988 graduate of Monacan High School and a 1992 graduate of VCU. An outdoor celebration of Lisa's life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Roslyn-The Virginia Diocesan Center, 8727 River Rd. Casual attire is welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Big Brother Big Sister Services Inc., 5511 Staples Mill Rd., Suite 200, Richmond Va. 23228 or Camp Comfort, 12276 Standcroft Rd., Rockville, Va. 23146.

PRATT
Departed this life October 9, 2001 in a Richmond hospital, Barbara E. Taylor "Mickey" Pratt of Tappahannock, Va. She is survived by her father, Joe C. Taylor of Tappahannock; two sons, Dr. Robert A. "Tony" Pratt of Watkinsville, Ga., Terry L. Pratt of Tappahannock; a daughter-in-law, Anita; one sister, Thiadiar V. Pullin; one brother, Joe B. Taylor, both of Tappahannock; and three grandchildren. The body will lie in state October 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Washington Funeral Home, Tappahannock and one hour before service Saturday, October 13 at the church. Funeral service will be held October 13, 2001 at New Liberty Baptist Church, Beazley, Va. at 2 p.m., Rev. Dr. Willie T. Carter officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Funeral service entrusted to Washington Funeral Home, Tappahannock.

PRILLAMAN
Glenn H. Prillaman, age 48, of Richmond, died Monday, October 8, 2001 in Belize. He is survived by his fiancee, Margo Minter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Percy Prillaman; and his brother, Ron. He was a realtor, aviator, disc jockey, professional clown, train enthusiast, and president of the Richmond Dive Club. A memorial celebration of Glenn's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 13 at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1101 Horsepen Rd., Richmond, Va., 23229.

PROFFITT
Roy F. Proffitt Jr., 73, of Mineral, Va., died Wednesday, October 10, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Betty Elizabeth (Libbie) Proffitt; his son, Roy F. (Butch) Proffitt III and his wife, Gail; his grandson, Andy and his wife, Tara; his granddaughter, Emily; his sister, Florence Gammon; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. His remains rest at the Lacy Funeral Home, Route 522, Mineral, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in Hopeful Baptist Church, Montpelier, Va. Interment to follow in church cemetery. Roy was retired from the City of Richmond Department of Parks and Recreation with 39 years of service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Holly Grove Volunteer Rescue Squad or Fire Department, Factory Mill Road, Bumpass, Va. 23024.

RANDALL
Departed this life October 9, 2001, Mrs. Lucy R. Randall of 3507 Austin Ave. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, John W. Randall; four daughters, Eunice Neville (Joe), Sheila Neville, Stacey Neville Deberry (Larry) and Dianna Wallace (Barton); three stepsons, Calvin (Chrissy) and Jackie Johnson and Sammy Randall; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Mills and Louise (Benjamin) Caine; five brothers, Alex (Belle), McCliff, Willie, Melvin and Lewis (Joann) Neville; a host of nieces, among them one devoted Doris Hargrove; a host of nephews, cousins, three sons-in-law, other relatives and friends, among them two devoted friends, Mary Morton Jackson and Geraldine Johnson. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends Friday 7 to 8 p.m. Remains will lie in state Saturday 10 a.m. at Redeem Church of God in Christ, 5601 Bryce La., where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Elder George G. Williams officiating. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.

RAWLINGS
Irma Babb Rawlings, 77, died Thursday, October 11, 2001 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Emmett Francis and Irma Barnes Babb. She was a graduate of Smithdeal-Massey Business School and co-founded, along with her husband, Rawlings Mechanical Corporation in 1958. She was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Robert A. "Buck" Rawlings Jr.; two sons, Glenn B. Rawlings and his wife, Sarah of Franklin and Steve C. Rawlings and his wife, Carolyn of Bradenton, Fla.; a sister, Mary Catherine Greig of Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren, Leslie Rawlings, Brandon Rawlings, Anna Rawlings, Babb Rawlings, Ryan Rawlings and Justin Rawlings; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Boyd Rawlings; four brothers, Harwood, William, Ben and Claiborne Babb; and two sisters, Susie Bartholomew and Mildred Strickler. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Courtland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kay Gentry officiating. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, other times at 101 Crescent Dr., Franklin, and immediately following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be made to Courtland United Methodist Church, 22416 Main St., Courtland, Va. 23837 or to a favorite charity.

ROHRIG
Elizabeth I. "I.G." Rohrig, age 82, a lifelong resident of Varina, died Thursday, October 11, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cunow Rohrig. She is survived by two children and spouses, Bonnie R. and Page Mann of Williamsburg and Billy and Pat Rohrig of Varina; five beloved grandchildren, Deborah Washam, Timothy Burch, Beth Mann, Will and Dan Rohrig; and three great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Dylan Burch and Catherine Rosa Washam. She is also survived by a sister, Lucille Dean and her husband, Wesley; and sister-in-law Edna G. Bragg. Mrs. Rohrig was a charter member of the Varina Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery.

RUBEL
Mrs. Ruth B. Rubel, 73, of Richmond died at her residence with her daughters by her side on October 11, 2001. She was the widow of Herbert J Rubel and is survived by her daughters, Joan G. Rubel and her husband, David LaChance of Conway Mass., Miriam R. Davidow and her husband, Daniel Davidow of Richmond and Nancy L. Rubel and her husband, Dan S. Klein of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Alisa Davidow, Jonathan Davidow, Naomi Rubel LaChance and Sarah Lindley Rubel Klein. Mrs. Rubel was a Holocaust survivor and was active in the Jewish Federation of Richmond, Jewish Community Center and Hadassah. She was a member of Keneseth Beth Israel. Graveside funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday at Sir Moses Montifiore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Herbert J Rubel Holocaust Education Fund, c/o JCFR, 5403 Monument Ave., Richmond Va. 23226.

SATTERWHITE
Fred Thomas "Smitty" Satterwhite funeral services will be held today at 12 noon, Riverview Baptist Church, 2604 Idlewood Avenue. Rev. Lawrence Samuel officiating. Rev. Johnnie R.
