Deacon Frank L. Jefferson Sr. of 5431 Lingle Lane, formerly of 913 N. 35th St., departed this life Thursday, January 4, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Flossie Janet Jefferson; three sons, Frank Jr., Kevin Sr., and Rev. Marvin Jefferson; seven daughters, Linda Jefferson-Weeden, Karen J. Jones, Michelle R. Banks, Claserine D. and Yvette Jefferson, Tamarr Williams and Janelle Ellis; 17 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; five brothers, William, Deacon Moses, Robert, Thomas and Carl Jefferson; three sisters, Bernice A. Jefferson, Queen Hardy and Mary E. Johnson; mother and fathers-in-law, Mrs. Goldie Stephenson and Deacon Garfield Stephenson and Cephas McCollough; two daughters-in-law, three sons-in-law, 10 sisters-in-law, nine brothers-in-law, two aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; among them devoted nieces, Bernice Montague and Cheryl Nero; other relatives and friends among them devoted friends, Alexander Henley, William Hutchinson, Deacon Johnathan McQuinn, Deacon Raymond Washington Sr. and Beatrice E. Bailey and family. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 1 p.m. at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 913 N. 1st St. Rev. Kenneth E. Dennis Sr., Pastor. Eulogy by Rev. Marvin Jefferson. Interment in Maury Cemetery. Afer 12 Noon, remains will rest in the above named church until hour of service. Relatives and friends attending funeral services, assemble at the church, Tuesday, 12:30 p.m.

KING
Alice Turpin King, age 61, of Victoria, died Sunday, January 7, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Herbert C. King; three sons, Kenneth L. King and wife, Debra of Chesterfield, Herbert C. King Jr. and Tammy of Mt. Solon, Va. and Jeffery A. King and wife, Kimberly of Richmond; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Shannon and Korey King, Ashley and Steven, Michael and Nicole Packer and Robert King; her mother, Elizabeth Robertson of Victoria; two sisters, Jean Neal of Crewe and Bethel Marker and husband, Robert of Victoria; and one brother, Donald Turpin of Colonial Heights. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home, conducted by Richard Cordle of Chesterfield. Interment in Crewe Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Virginia or the American Cancer Society.

KYTLE
Rayford Perdue Kytle Jr., 85, of Richmond, passed away suddenly Friday, January 5, 2001. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9 at River Road Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in Florence, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to your favorite charity.

LEE
James Edward (Churchill) Lee, 71, of Richmond, died Saturday, January 6, 2001. He is survived by his three children, Judy L. Rupp, Richard E. and Daniel E. Lee; nine grandchildren, three sisters, and two brothers. Mr. Lee was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. Interment Signal Hill.

LUCY
Ralph Lear Lucy "Shorty", 69 of Hartfield, loved husband, father and grandfather, was surrounded by family as he departed this life on January 7, 2001. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Mr. Lucy served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of VFW Post #9636. He was preceded in death by a sister, Page Monahue; and three brothers, Melvin Lucy, Joseph Lucy and Frederick Lucy. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Lucy; two daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Taylor Hodges of West Point and Angela and Marty Blankenship of Chesterfield; three sons and their wives, Steve and Patty Lucy, Florida, Ricky and Beth Newman of Tennessee and C. Timothy and Diana Driver of Amherst; and ten grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vincent Funeral Home, West Point, Va., with burial in Sunny Slope Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A special thanks to McGuire Veterans Hospital.

LYLE
Anthony Frank Lyle Jr. entered eternal rest January 1, 2001. Cherishing his memory are his parents, Anthony Lyle Sr. and Anniebelle Lyle; five sisters, Linda Sedwick, Ophelia Davis, Emma Williams, Pamela Woods, and Tonette Freeman; one great-aunt, Millie Brown; six nephews, four nieces, two great-nephews, one great-niece, five brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, 6 to 7 p.m. at the All Faiths Chapel of the A.D. Price Funeral Establishment, 212 E. Leigh St., where a Eulogistic service will be conducted Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. Rev. Paul Coles officiating. Interment Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Va. MACK
John H. Mack Sr. of Richmond, died January 6, 2001. He is survived by four children, Ethel Lee Burton, Maxine Jackson, Marie and John Mack Jr.; three sisters, 18 grandchildren, among them one devoted, Linda Mack; 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Carlton T. Brooks Funeral Home, 2200 Hull St. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park Tuesday, 11 a.m. Family and friends attending services, assemble at the funeral home Tuesday, 10 a.m. www.legacy.com.

MacPHERSON
Peggy Crockett MacPherson, 70, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 6, 2001. She was the widow of Donald K. MacPherson. She is survived by her son, Robert E. MacPherson; and her daughter, Vicki M. Nichols; three grandchildren, Adam, Lisa, and Eric. Mrs. MacPherson was a member of Sandston Baptist Church for over 40 years. Her remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends Monday 5 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sandston Baptist Church. Interment Washington Memorial Park.

MANN
Mark Randolph Mann, 46, of Mechanicsville, an employee of Philip Morris USA for the past 27 years, died January 4, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Megan Hope Mann of Midlothian; his father, Jay Mann and his wife, Darlene; his mother, Virginia Gilbert; three brothers and their families, Paul Mann, Keith Mann and Joseph Mann; also several cousins. Services will be private. A gathering of family and friends of Mark Mann's will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2001, 6 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Megan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

MARTIN
Antoinette Norseffe Martin, 74, of Richmond, passed away Friday, January 5, 2001 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Clarence Martin; and her parents, Joseph and Lula Norseffe. She is survived by two sisters, Mary N. Nadder and Goldie N. Backus; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Martin was retired from the Henrico County Division of Police. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Sunday, January 28, 2001 at St. Anthony's Maronite Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Maronite Catholic Church, 4611 Sadler Rd., Glen Allen, Va. 23060 or your favorite charity.

MITCHELL
Melvin Eugene Mitchell, age 81, of Dawn, Va., died January 6, 2001. Survived by two daughters, Victoria Trice of Mechanicsville and Emily Skinner of Dawn; a sister, Marian M. Moren; five grandchildren, Everett and Austin Trice, Maggie Smart, Mitchell Pitts and Thomas Skinner; stepdaughter, Becky Hoagland; and five stepgrandchildren, Tracy Wood, Brian Gillespie, Shawn Gillespie, James Southworth and Carolyn Colbert. Preceded in death by stepson, James C. (Sonny) Southworth. Family will receive friends at the B.W. White Funeral Home, Aylett, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Service 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel United Methodist Church. Remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Children's Fund, Oak Hill Baptist Church Building Fund or Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.

MUI
Mrs. Sui Kuen Mui, 89, of Richmond, widow of Wai See Lau, died January 6, 2001. She is survived by four sons, Chiu Kit Lau, Chiu Keung Lau (Ringo), Chiu Fan Lau and Chiu Ming Lau; two daughters, Hsueh Chu Liu (deceased), and Bik Sin Moy; five grandsons, eight granddaughters, four great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where the family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment Riverview Cemetery.

ODENHEIMER
Frank Gilliams Odenheimer, 79, of Richmond, died Saturday, January 6, 2001. He is survived by his devoted wife, Frances Whichard Odenheimer of 51 years; three children, James W. Odenheimer of Pittsburgh, Pa., Carolyn O. Andersson of Baltimore, Md., and Susan O. Chappelle of Richmond. He has one daughter-in-law, Jeanne Odenheimer of Pittsburgh; and two sons-in-law, Dean J. Chappelle of Richmond, and John Andersson of Baltimore; two granddaughters, Kristina and Nikki Chappelle of Richmond; and one grandson, Brooks Andersson of Baltimore. He was known as "Pop-Pop" to his three grandchildren. Frank served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War. He worked in Pittsburgh at Westinghouse as a management systems engineer for 30 years. After retirement, he moved to Kill Devil Hills, N.C. for 14 years. He was a member of St. Andrews-By-The-Sea Episcopal Church and an Honorary Member of the First Flight Lions Club, where he was Treasurer for eight years. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at Cedar Field, 2300 Cedar Field Pkwy., Richmond. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrews-By-The-Sea Building Fund, St. Andrews By The Sea, P.O. Box 445, Nags Head, N.C. 27959 or the Richmond Alzheimers Association.

PARKER
Sara Ann Parker, 59, of Sutherland died Saturday, January 6, 2001. She was the wife of Cary C. "Coach" Parker. Funeral arrangements to be announced by E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, Colonial Heights.

PERKINSON
Elizabeth Ansell Perkinson, 74, of Tappahannock, formerly of Norfolk, widow of Henry B. Perkinson Jr., passed away Saturday, January 6, 2001. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Brenda L. and Randall J. Nordquist; three grandsons, Nathan, Trevor and Eric Nordquist, all of Mechanicsville; and two nephews, Wayne and Craig Chiselbrook. Mrs. Perkinson was a member of Tabernacle Church of Norfolk. Remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, and where a service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, to be held at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Atlee Community Church Building Fund.

PINKHAM
Ursula (Sue) Pinkham of Richmond, died Friday, January 5, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Pinkham; three children, Scott Chapman, Linda Lumpkin and Larry Pinkham; one brother, Edward A. Rutherford; two grandchildren, Michael and Michelle. A memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

ROMMELL
Mr. John A. Rommell Jr., 56, of Richmond, passed away January 6, 2001. He is survived by three daughters, Michelle Clark and her husband, Joseph, Denise Osgood and her husband, Scott and Patricia and Robert Shearl; four grandchildren, Danielle Osgood, Shane and Dylan Loth and John (JJ) Rommell; two brothers, Carroll and Eddie Rommell; and his sister, Barbara McDaniel. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

RUBLE
Paul Louis Ruble, 78, of Waynesboro, Virginia, died January 6, 2001. Mr. Ruble, a native of Covington, Virginia, was the son of the late, Emmette Louis and Helen Watts Ruble. He was a veteran of World War II and a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He was employed by the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company and retired after 30 years of service. Mr. Ruble was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Marianna Vass Ruble. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Ruble Campbell of Lake Mary, Florida; three sons, Alec Ruble of Freeport, Illinois; his wife, Laura and their children, Lisa and Kathryn, Conrad Ruble of Midlothian, Virginia; his wife, Tammy; and their children, Connor and Peyton and Christopher Ruble of Waynesboro, Virginia. Remains will be inurned in the Columbarium in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the World War II Memorial Fund, PO Box 96766, Washington, D.C. 20090-6766. Arrangements are being handled by the McDow Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Virginia.
