Mozelle T. King
WYTHEVILLE -- Mozelle Turney King, 81, of Wytheville and formerly of Bethany, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005.
She was born in Austinville on March 5, 1924, to William Daniel Turney and Mary Jane Jones Turney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther M. King; a son, Ronald King, a grandchild, Bill King; and a brother, Billy Turney.
Surviving are a son, Doug King of Max Meadows; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mary K.T. Dean of Pulaski, Ruby T. Ward of Max Meadows, Joanne T. Dennis of Roanoke and Nancy T. Frazier of Ridgeway; two brothers, Lee Turney of Martinsville and Bobby Turney of Ridgeway; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Poplar Camp Church of God of Prophecy (River of Life Ministries) with the Revs. Samuel Hall, Gary Vernon and Larry Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Reese Funeral Home in Austinville is in charge of arrangements.

Theodora P. Lester
The funeral for Theodora "Dotty" Panopoulous Lester, 62, of Martinsville, who died Dec. 4, 2005, was held Friday at Norris Funeral Services. Burial was in Christian View Christian Church cemetery in Stoneville.
Pallbearers were Eddie Evans, Richy Lester, George Psathas, Johnny Snow, Clyde Evans Jr. and Chris Hall.

Vera E. Martin
Vera Lee Eggleston Martin, 77, of 5109 Preston Road, Martinsville, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at her home.
She was born in Henry County on Sept. 17, 1928, to Thomas Eugene Eggleston and Maggie Lee Nelson Eggleston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brown Dudley Martin.
She retired from the City of Martinsville Finance Department. She was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF), Circle 4 and was an active member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church, where she sang in the choir.
Surviving are a son, Randy Brown Martin of the home; and three brothers, Wesley Eggleston and Ronnie Eggleston, both of Martinsville and Tommy Eggleston of Fieldale.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove Christian Church with the Rev. George Harris officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Christian Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery Fund or Pleasant Grove Christian Church Building Fund, 5232 Preston Road, Martinsville, Va. 24112.
Norris Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mary F. Morris
The funeral for Mary Frances Morris, 89, of Stanleytown, who died Dec. 6, 2005, was held Friday at Thomasson Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Joseph "Doby" Salmons officiating. Burial was in Henry Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Dale Campbell, Pig Shively, Warren Thurman, Paul Kennedy, Chris Tunnell and Virginia Howard.
Bassett Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Roy C. O'Leary Sr.
ROCKY MOUNT -- Roy Clayton O'Leary Sr., 63, of Trinity Mission, 300 Hatcher St., Rocky Mount, died Dec. 8, 2005, at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount.
He was born in Rocky Mount on Aug. 10, 1942, to Dennis O'Leary and Daisy Mae Hodges O'Leary. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Catherine O'Leary; and a brother, John David O'Leary Sr.
He retired from Pulaski Furniture Co., and was a member of Orchard Drive Baptist Church in Bassett.
Surviving are a son, Roy Clayton "Rocky" O'Leary Jr. of Rocky Mount; a sister, Sue O. Austin of Collinsville; and a brother, Jesse J. O'Leary of Bassett.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Collins Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. Michael Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Hodges family cemetery on Doe Run Road, Rocky Mount.
The family will be receive friends at the home of his brother, Jesse J. O'Leary, 591 Westover Drive, Hillcrest Park, Bassett.

Alice B. Shelor
MEADOWS OF DAN -- Alice B. Shelor, 88, of Meadows of Dan, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax.
She was born in Stone, Ky. on Nov. 5, 1917, to S.L. Bolt and Myrtle Shelor Bolt. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are a daughter, Betsy George of Meadows of Dan; two sisters, Rith Jean Bolt of Meadows of Dan and Eileen Dalton of Bassett; and a granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Clarence Marshall officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour before the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Vesta Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 238, Vesta, Va. 24177.
Moody Funeral Home of Stuart is in charge of arrangements.

Robert A. Wade
Robert Anderson Wade, 65, of 1151 E. Church St., Martinsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
He was born in Henry County on May 10, 1940, to Lloyd Anderson Wade and Martha Hairston Wade. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Hairston.
He retired from Hart Oldsmobile of Roanoke after 25 years of service. He was a member of Oak Hill Cathedral of Glory, where he was an associate minister and teacher. He was a 1980 graduate of Rhema Bible College.
Surviving are his wife, Mary J. Wade of the home; a daughter, Nicole M. Wade of Roanoke; a son, Jeffrey Wade of Martinsville; two brothers, Tony Wade of Bassett and Melvin Wade of Axton; a sister, Lillian Wade of Martinsville; and a grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cathedral of Glory with the Rev. Charles Alston officiating. Burial will be in the the Lampkin family cemetery in Axton.
The family will receive friends for one half hour before the funeral and other times at the home.
Hines Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

David R. Anderson
David R. "Chico" Anderson, 42, of 1161 Deerhaven Drive, Callands, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at his residence.
He was born on June 13, 1963, in San Bernardino, Calif., to Carol Wolfe Anderson of Danville and Clarence R. Anderson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher R. "Taz" Anderson; a sister, Shari Alene Anderson; and grandparents, Clarence B. and Marjorie Greer Anderson.
He had worked for P.D.S. in Martinsville.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Rebecca Ellen Pinnix Anderson of Martinsville; two sons, David Page Anderson and Elliott Arlin Anderson, both of Danville; a brother, Richard W. Anderson of Aberdeen, N.C.; a stepson, Shawn Wright of Martinsville; a step-granddaughter; and grandparents, D. Wayne Wolfe and Florence Wilson Wolfe of Oakland, Md.; two nieces; and a nephew.
The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Swicegood Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. William Wolfe officiating. Burial will be private.
Friends may call at the home of his mother at 708 Mount View Road, off Virginia 863, Blairs area.
Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 551, Martinsville, Va. 24114.

Rita Cuellar
Rita Linda Cuellar, 62, of Patrick Springs, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
She was born in California on Aug. 7, 1943, to Isidro Cuellar and Conchita Lopez Cuellar, both deceased.
Surviving are two sons, Jaime Gomez of Patrick Springs and Rene Gomez of California; four grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Cuellar and Mark Cuellar; and a sister, Teresa Cuellar, all of California.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the John Adams Cemetery in Patrick Springs. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart for one hour prior to the graveside service.
