Louise Garrett Taylor, age 82, of Mechanicsville, widow of Llewellyn Taylor, passed away Monday, July 29, 2002. She is survived by her sons, Robert L. Taylor of Mechanicsville, Craig Taylor of Tallahassee, Fla. and Ronald K. Taylor of Mechanicsville; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eva Chambliss, Odell Meek, both of Highland Springs and Catherine Scrugs of Florida; and her brother, George Garrett of Highland Springs. Remains rest at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, Rt. 301 and Shady Grove Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.

THWEATT
Mr. Tennessee Thweatt Jr., 52, of 28536 Carson Rd., Carson, departed this life Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Waverly Health Care Center, Waverly. He was born July 14, 1950 to the late Tennessee Sr. and Mable L. Thweatt of Carson. He was baptized at Highway Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ under District Elder James Coleman. Tennessee was a dedicated employee of Phillip Morris USA for 18 years. He leaves to cherish his precious memories two sons, George Timothy Thweatt and Tennessee Thweatt III, both of Richmond; six sisters, Alice Raines of Petersburg, Etta Goodwyn (Bennie) of Disputanta, Lucy Jones (Raymond) of Carson, Mable Thweatt- Williams (Russell) of Disputanta, Mary Myrick (Ronald) of Ettrick and Arlene Greenwood (Rae) of Prince George; three brothers, James E. Thweatt (Hazel) and Kenneth Leonell Thweatt (Vonda), both of Petersburg and Kenneth Leon Thweatt of Washington, D.C.; four aunts, Mildred Baytop of Philadelphia, Pa., Marion Coleman of Petersburg, Bernice Potts of Stony Creek and Mary Cole of Macon, Ga.; five uncles, William T. Anderson Jr. of Baltimore, Md., George Anderson of New York, Thomas Anderson of Alexandria, David Anderson of Florida and Leroy Woodley Sr. of Prince George; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a devoted friend, Jerry Tazewell. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2002 at Refuge Temple of Our Lord Jesus Christ, 1890 Boydton Plank Rd., Petersburg with Elder Cornelius White Pastor and Elder Cleveland Hill officiating. Interment will be in Dinwiddie Memorial Park. The remains will lie in state on Saturday from 9:45 a.m. until the hour of service. Relatives and friends are asked to assemble at 10 a.m. at Tucker's Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at Tucker's Funeral Home Friday, August 2, 2002 from 7 to 8 p.m. The family may be contacted by calling (434)246-4707 or (804)520-4971. WIGGINS
Kathryn Abel Wiggins, 53, of Charles City, passed away July 30, 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard W. and Dorothy L. Abel; and daughter, Ashley Ballard Wiggins. She is survived by her husband, Joe B. Wiggins; her brothers, Howard and David Abel; and children, Allan Lee Wiggins, Deborah Lynn Sawyer, Karen Sue Oliver, Darrell Keith Wiggins. Mrs. Wiggins was a graduate of Mary Washington College, where she remained active with the Alumni Association. She was also active in Westover Episcopal Church, where she was a Vestry member and Altar Guild member, and was involved with many other civic activities in the Charles City area. Her remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Westover Episcopal Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. WILLIS
Mrs. Lillian Marie Willis, a salesperson at J.C. Penney's (Regency), went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2002. She is survived by her devoted husband, Deacon Roy Edward Willis; two sons, Leon E. and Calvin N. Willis (Robin); two grandchildren, Erika Phipps and Katelyn Harris; two sisters, Loise Square and Pauline Robinson; one brother-in-law, Deacon Samuel D. Willis, Newark, N.J.; sister-in-law, Ann Willis; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, among them devoted, Miss Diamond Watson. Her remains rest at the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, where her family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. After 9 a.m. Saturday, her remains will rest at Sharon Baptist Church, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Rev. Dr. Paul A. Coles officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

ADAMS
Wilielea (Dina) Greenwood Adams, 82, died Sunday, August 25, 2002. Mrs. Adams was the widow of Walker Stuart Greenwood who died in 1972, and later the widow of William Oscar Adams who died in 1995. Born and raised in Alabama, Mrs. Adams was a beloved fourth grade teacher in King William County for more than 25 years. In addition to her lifetime of teaching, Mrs. Adams was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and Corinth Christian Church in King William. In her retirement and before her illness, she was an avid doll collector and she enjoyed knitting, biking and cooking. She also enjoyed her many long friendships in King William County. She is survived by her son, Stuart Michael Greenwood; daughter-in-law, Julia Ann Greenwood; and granddaughter, Ann Greenwood Whitby, all of Richmond. Mrs. Adams is also survived by two sisters, including Carlene Finck of Manistique, Mich., and Nannie Sims of Cropwell, Ala. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the B.W. White Funeral Home in Aylett, Va. Funeral and interment services will be held on Tuesday, 2 p.m. at Sharon Baptist Church in King William Co., near the high school. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charitable organization.

BELL
Mrs. Adelaide Bell of Richmond departed this life Friday, August 23, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Queen Black; one grandson, Forrest Black Jr.; sister, Martha Vaughan; a host of nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law, Mary Bell, Edna Fox, and Mary Fox; one brother-in-law, Andrew Bell; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Streets, where the family will receive friends Monday, August 26, 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 1 p.m., Cedar Street Baptist Church of God, 2301 Cedar Street. Dr. Benjamin W. Robertson, pastor, officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Remains will rest in church one hour prior to service. Relatives and friends attending funeral services assemble at the church Tuesday, 12:30 p.m.

BIDDLE
Robert Bruce Biddle, 74, of Kilmarnock, Va., passed away Saturday, August 24, 2002 at MCV Hospital in Richmond, Va. He is survived by his wife, Jean Crowther biddle; two daughters and their husband, Barbara and Daniel Rossiter of Livonia, N.Y., and Mary and Pete Mahler of Rochester, N.Y.; two sons, James Biddle and his wife, Candy Biddle of Springwater, N.Y., and Daniel Biddle of Nunda, N.Y.; ten grandchildren and one great-grandson; three stepsons, James Schwan of James Store, Va., Michael Crowther of White Stone, and Garnett Crowther of Mechanicsville; one stepdaughter, Amanda Crowther Mallory of Richmond; five stepgrandchildren and one step-great-grandson. Remains rest at the Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, where the family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 11 a.m. at the Lower United Methodist Church, Hartfield, Va., with interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Building Fund, Lower United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 98, Hartfield, Va. 23071.

BLANTON
Frederick L. (Doc) Blanton Sr., 73, of Sandston, departed this life August 25, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Rachel Walker Blanton. He is survived by three children, Frederick L. Blanton Jr., Jerrine Harrell and Bridget Ihsane; five grandchildren, Angela, Ben, Melanie, Mariam and Sarah; four great-grandchildren, Rachel, Rebekah, Leah and Hannah. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

BOGGS
Hettie Sue Eubanks Boggs, 77, of Richmond, formerly of Decatur, Ga., devoted wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 25, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Samuel John (Johnny) Boggs; two sons, Wayne C. Boggs and his wife, Arlene A. Boggs, and James M. (Jimmy) Boggs and his wife, Brenda P. Boggs; three grandsons, Corey A. Boggs and his wife Amber Casler, Jeremy A. Boggs and Ryan A. Boggs; two brothers, Hopie W. Eubanks and George Eubanks, both of Decatur, Ga. She along with her husband, Johnny founded Richmond Alarm Co. in 1947 from which she retired in 2000. She was a faithful member of the Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church. Interment at Dale Memorial Park. At her request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church.

BOWLES
Eugene Bowles Sr. of Richmond, departed this life Saturday, August 24, 2002. He is survived by his children, Linda Morgan, Eugene Jr., Benjamin, Richard, Billy and Bobby Bowles; grandchildren, Derrick Morgan, Latisha Bowles, Shaquana Winston, Kelly Morgan, Jamal Bowles and Benjamin Winston; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Bowles; brothers, George and Barrington Bowles; son-in-law, Otha Morgan Jr.; daughter-in-law, Maria Bowles; sister-in-law, Zelma Bowles; ex-wife, Georgia Bowles; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts., where funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 11 a.m. Dr. Jimmy I. McCrary officiating. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. BRADSHAW
Michael King Bradshaw, 48, of Richmond, died unexpectedly on August 24, 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew King Bradshaw and Dorothy D. Bradshaw. He is survived by one sister; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Richmond and Magnolia, N.C. Interment will be private. BULLOCK
Mrs. Frances Elizabeth (Hartman) Bullock, 79, widow of George Oswald (Pat) Bullock, formerly of Rt. 1 Swoope, died 2 a.m. Sunday, August 25, 2002 in Mechanicsville. She was born on December 16, 1922 in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late James and Margaret Mae (Perry) Hartman. Mrs. Bullock was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church and was retired from Sears Department Store as a telephone salesperson. Mrs. Bullock is survived by a sister, Mrs. Margaret Powell of Mechanicsville; three nieces, Paula Jones, Wanda Souther and Sherri Powell; a nephew, Michael Duane Powell, all of Mechanicsville; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2002 in the Hebron Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John Barber and Dr. Robert Goshorn. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body of Mrs. Bullock will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be Charles Drumheller, William Edwards, Carl E. Durham, Billy Drumheller, R.P. Brown Jr., and Raymond Cline. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Wood, Curtis Wood, and Elton M. Hewitt Jr. The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Henry Funeral Home.

DICKMAN
Nancy M. Dickman, 64, of Richmond, passed away August 24, 2002 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Robert Morgan; mother, Elizabeth Owens; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Betty Malbone. She is also survived by a niece, Kimberly Rhodes; nephew, Kevin Malbone; and other relatives. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Rd., 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeside United Methodist Church or Bon Secours Hospice.

DOLAN
Dorothy B. Dolan of Richmond, died Sunday, August 25, 2002. She is survived by her two sons, James Weir Dolan of North Carolina and John O. Dolan of Virginia; a granddaughter, Amy Dolan; and two sisters, Vernell Blackwell and Marian Becker. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

EDMONDS
Mrs. Alice E. Edmonds of 30 "C" W. 27th St. departed this life Sunday, August 25, 2002. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral notice later.

GLASGOW
Departed this life August 22, 2002, Mr. Walter T. "Buster" Glasgow Jr. of Richmond. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Aleta Glasgow and is survived by one son, Walter III; devoted daughter, Tiffany J. Brown; grandchildren, one great-grandchild; devoted mother, Mrs. Hattie W. Glasgow; two sisters, one devoted, Ramona Glasgow Charity and April R. Smith; a host of other relatives and friends.
