FANO
Helmut Mark Fano, 37, died suddenly August 1, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Gayle Cutchin Fano; five children; parents, Arthur and Ingrid Fano; brother, Hans Fano; sisters, Eva Fano Ahladas and Elisabeth Fano; and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2001 at West End Assembly of God, 401 Parham Rd. Mark was a seven-year veteran of the County of Henrico Division of Police as well as an 18-year veteran of the United States Navy and Naval Reserves. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fano Children Education Fund, c/o Gayle Fano, RF&P Federal Credit Union, 4807 Hermitage Rd., Richmond, Va. 23227. The family is being served by Bliley's Funeral Home, Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd.

GASCOYNE
Daniel Ryan Gascoyne, age 26, died Thursday, August 2, 2001 after a two-year battle with lymphoma. He graduated from Huguenot Academy in Powhatan, Class of 1993, attended Radford University, was employed by Industrial Recycling Services of Canton, Ohio, and Trane Corporation of Richmond, Va. He was the beloved son of Daniel and Elizabeth Gascoyne, brother of Rise and Bill Gascoyne, grandson of Margaret Gascoyne and the late Josephine and Bill Muro. The family will receive friends 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday at Church of the Epiphany, 11000 Smoketree Dr. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park.

GILMAN
Linwood H. Gilman Jr., 78, passed away August 2, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Mary F. Gilman; two sons, L.H. Gilman III and Julian Dean Gilman of Richmond; a daughter, Mary G. Rowe of Annapolis, Md.; four grandchildren, Julian Dean Gilman, Jr., Justin S. Gilman, Bryan T. Rowe and Eric M. Rowe. Mr. Gilman retired from J. M. Fry after more than 30 years of service. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Memorial Regional Medical Center Auxiliary for the Patients Assistance Fund.

GLASCO
Irene Yates Glasco, 97, of Richmond, passed away Friday, August 3, 2001. She was the widow of Henry W. Glasco and was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia G. Posey; and her son, H. Howard Glasco. She is survived by her daughter, Louise G. King and her husband Irving; her son, H. Alvin (Bo) Glasco and his wife Frances; also a daughter-in-law, Mildred J. Glasco; also a sister, Louise Lawrence of Hampton; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Glasco was a long-time member of Highland Park United Methodist Church. Her remains rest at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, also from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, and where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, August 6. Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.

HANSEN
Mildred May Hansen, age 90, died on July 22, 2001. She was the devoted aunt of Joan and Warner Blackwell of Richmond and Lorraine Roe of Jacksonville, Fla. In addition, she is survived by one son, Robert Hansen of Santa Monica, Calif.; one grandchild, Dawn Hansen of Hiram, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Mallory Hansen of Richmond; one great-great-grandchild, David; and one brother, George Bachman of Jacksonville, Fla. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2315 Parham Rd. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.

HANSEN
Russell Everett Hansen, age 61, of Glen Allen, Va., died August 3, 2001. He was retired from the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Ga., and was employed by the American Lung Association as a health consultant, and was a member of the Dominion Club. Survivors include his wife, Eletta McDaniel Hansen; two sons and daughter-in-law, Timothy Andrew and Kristy Bivins Hansen of Raleigh, N.C. and Mark Christopher Hansen of Philadelphia, Pa.; his mother, Vivian McMonagle Hansen; brother, Ronald Hansen of Tucson, Arizona; and sister, Odette Woodward of Vancouver, Wash. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the West Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 West Broad St., Glen Allen, Va. Memorial services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Mason City, Iowa. Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Association.

HARRIS
Departed this life July 31, 2001, Mrs. Toyinette G. Harris, of 103 Alton Street. She is survived by nieces, among them devoted C. Margaret Brice, Gladys Dodson and Helen Gant; great nieces, devoted Sylvia Dollie Lee; several great-great nieces, among them, devoted Sooky; several great-great-great-nieces, among them, devoted Weagie; nephew, Aubrey (Bubba) Wilson; and other relatives and friends, among them, devoted Sandra Jones. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr., 2011 Grayland Ave., where funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Brother Lester Mitchell officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45 p.m. Monday.

JACKSON
Mary Elizabeth Jackson of Richmond died August 4, 2001. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Edward Jackson; children, James Edward Bagby and his wife, Lou Anice D. Bagby, Jo Ann Dayne and Earl M. Jackson and his wife, Robin S. Jackson; grandchildren, Edward E. Bagby and his wife, Donna Bagby, Melody B. Hamilton and her husband, Brent Hamilton and Clayton E. Jackson; great-grandchildren, Kelly Sibley and Alex Sibley; brothers and sisters, Claudius George Smith, Elwood Smith and Margaret Smith Hardiman. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church, 3801 Beulah Rd.

KEMP
Robert "Bobby" Mason Kemp, 54 of Shacklefords, Va., died Thursday, August 2, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Helen Mae Kemp; a daughter, Bobbie Jo Jones; his mother, Frances Kemp; a brother, James O. Kemp Jr.; and a granddaughter. A graveside service will be held Sunday, 2 p.m. at Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at his home. Memorials may be made to the Bobby Kemp Music Memorial Fund, c/o Olivet Baptist Church, HC 74, Box 330, Mattaponi, Va. 23110. Vincent Funeral Home, West Point, Va. is handling arrangements.

MOONEYHAM
Richard G. Mooneyham, CPA, age 54, of Blackstone, Va., died Wednesday, August 1, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Pamela B. Mooneyham; his parents, Max and Ruby Mooneyham of Keystone Heights, Florida; two daughters, Laurie Mooneyham Baker of Warsaw, Va. and April Marie Mooneyham of Blackstone; four brothers, Jerry of Louisiana, Glynn of Glen Allen, Va., Rodney of South Carolina and Max Jr. of Florida. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, at the Hamner-McMillian Funeral Home in Blackstone, where the family will receive friends following the services. The family requests instead of flowers, donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America, P.O. Box 6809, Richmond, Va. 23230 or your favorite charity.

MOORE
Rachel Rollins Moore, age 69, of Lawrenceville, Va., died August 3, 2001. She was born and raised in Wayne County, N.C. and is the daughter of the late Lloyd and Maude Rollins. Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Free Will Baptist Bible College and the Roanoke Rapids School of Nursing. She operated Southside Auto and Truck Service, Inc. and Rock Hill Farms for many years with her husband. She is survived by her husband, T.C. (Butch) Moore Jr. of Lawrenceville; a son, Thomas C. Moore III of Severna Park, Md.; two granddaughters, Misses Alexandria and Anastasia Moore of Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Parrucci of Laurel, Md. and Mrs. Edna Wells of Pikeville, N.C.; five brothers, Joseph, Lloyd, James and Willie Rollins, all of Goldsboro, N.C. and Rev. Albert Rollins of Grimesland, N.C. She was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Robert Rollins of Wayne County, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday at Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, with interment in James Square Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

MOSS
Jeneva "Baby" Moss formerly of the 1600 block of Maury St. quietly entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 1st, 2001. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 7th at 10am at St.Timothys Episcopal Church at 3601 Alabama Ave, Southeast, Washington D.C.. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Family may be contacted through her Nephew Tyrone Anderson at 232-2826.

POLK
Evelyn R. Polk of Providence Forge passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 1, 2001. She was a scanning technician for Winn-Dixie in Quinton, Va. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, which include her son, Charles R. Damian Jr.; daughter-in-law, Janice R. Damian,; loving granddaughters, Katey S. Damian and Maggie Rose Damian, all of Providence Forge; brother, Edward "Buddy" Moran of Pittsburgh, Pa. Services will be private for family and friends.

PRICE
John William Beckett Price, 82, of Chase City, died August 4, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Wallace Price; two sons, J.R. Price and Willie Price, both of Chase City; three grandchildren, Brian Price of Chase City, Mark Price of Clarksville, Tonya Price of Richmond; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Davis Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday with the Reverend David Blakely officiating. Interment with military rites will be held at Woodland Cemtery. Mr. Price was former vice-president of Halifax Livestock Producer, member of Company E 29th Division, American Legion Post 43, and VFW Post 2082, and a graduate of New York Pier 88 Ship Fitter and Diving School. He was a Navy Chief Petty Officer of WWII, a salvage diver, and received the Battleship Distinction.

RAINEY
Ethel Gertrude Rainey, age 88, of Sandston, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2001. She was the widow of George Wilbur Rainey and is survived by her daughter, Sherry Barrett and her husband, Max; two grandchildren, Maria Smith and her husband, Wayne and Leroy Thomas Coates Jr.; five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and two devoted friends; Alice McDaniel and Sissie Liskie. Mrs. Rainey was a lifelong member of Pine Street Baptist Church. Flowers accepted at the Nelsen Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday at Washington Memorial Park.

RICHARDSON
Robert B. Richardson, 50, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord Friday, August 3, 2001. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Richardson and is survived by his sons, Bryan and Joseph Richardson, mother and stepfather, Hazel M. and Bob Nelson; brother, Garland J. Richardson and his wife, Janie; sisters, Lois R. Proffitt and her husband, John, Muriel Mergler and her husband, Frank, and Mabel R. McDonell and her husband, Marshall; and close friend, Pamela. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Amelia Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
