Jeanne M. Jenkins, 55, of Chesterfield, passed away March 16, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Dave; a son, Jonny Couch; a daughter, Christi Johnson; three stepchildren, Ray Jenkins, Donna Burnette and Daryl Jenkins; her mother, Ella Bruce; one brother, one sister and three grandchildren. She is with her heavenly father and suffers no more. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment Dale Memorial Park.

KERR
Margaret N. Kerr of Hopewell, Va., passed away March 12, 2002 at the age of 86. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Daniel Atkinson and her husband, Roy; her sons, Charles S. Latham III and his wife, Callie P. and William "Billy" Latham; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise Ellerson; and one brother, Charles C. Newby; also a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Nelsen Funeral Home Gould Chapel, 214 N. 6th Ave. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Bermuda Memorial Park. LADD
Goldie E. Ladd, 69, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2002. She was the widow of Thomas P. Ladd Sr. Goldie was the mother of Thomas Jr., Michael, Preston, Donald, Raymond, Janet, Anita Ladd, Cathy Brown and Pam Bradby; and was the sister of Henry, Tom, John, Howard, Roy, Ann Garrett, Carolyn Ladd, Lillian Moore and Daisy Garcia; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment Washington Memorial Park.

MARTIN
Charles (Charlie) Edward Martin, a retired Hanover County school bus driver and farmer of Mechanicsville died Sunday, March 17, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mildred Mitchell Martin; two sons, Gary C. Martin and his wife, Beckie, Jerry W. Martin and his wife, Lori; two daughters, Bonnie M. Ellis and her husband, Chuck, all of Mechanicsville, Landra M. Lynn and her husband, Mike of Gallipolis, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; one brother, George Temple Martin and his wife, Mary; three sisters, Edna Mae Beasley, L. Pearl Martin and Emma L. Heath, all of Mechanicsville; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. Martin was a lifetime member of the Gethsemane Church of Christ. His remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, where the family will receive friends Monday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at the Gethsemane Church of Christ. Interment Gethsemane Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane Church of Christ Building Fund or the East Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad.

McHANEY
Wayland Leslie McHaney, 77, of Richmond, died Sunday, March 17, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Audrey Voelker McHaney; his three children, Leslie McHaney Demo and her husband, David of Greensboro, N.C., Kevin Michael Christopher McHaney and his wife, Cynthia Graham of Madison, Va. and Lisa McHaney Corbett and her husband, William, of Currituck, N.C.; four grandchildren, Michael McHaney Demo, Brian Hanlon Demo, Christopher Gilbert McHaney and Kara Morgan McHaney. Mr. McHaney was the retired president of A & W Business Forms. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gayton Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 5875 Bremo Rd., Suite 710, Richmond, Va. 23286-3058.

MOORE
Mary Boyle Moore, 84, of Richmond, passed peacefully March 16, 2002. She was the widow of Wilson B. Moore, and preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia M. Bausone. She is survived by two daughters, Mary M. Bowers and Christina M. Thoms; two sisters, Anastasia B. Harley and Margaret B. Clarke; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and where a Christian Wake service will be held 7:30 p.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in remembrance to Patricia M. Bausone.

NUCKOLS
Harry Leroy Nuckols departed this life Thursday, March 14, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Vernell J. Nuckols; a daughter, LeVerne; and a son, Harry G.; six aunts, two uncles, six sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was a retired educator of the Louisa County School System after 41 years of service. The family will receive friends Monday, March 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Mineral, Va. Funeral services Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at 12 noon at the Louisa County High School, Mineral, Va. Viewing one hour prior to service. Rev. Roger M. Jones officiating. OWENS
Spencer Owens, age 81, of Richmond, died Saturday, March 16, 2002. Survived by his wife, Maxine W. Owens; his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl O. and James G. Rothschild of Manakin-Sabot, Va.; his grandson, Adam S. Rothschild and his wife, Allison W. Rothschild of Richmond; his brother, E.B. Owens of Bedford, Mass.; his sister, Ruth Sweet of Portsmouth, Va. Mr. Owens was a member of Westhampton Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII and was retired from Richmond Newspapers, Inc. with 41 years of service. Remains rest at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Westhampton Baptist Church.

PLYMOUTH

SHAW
William Alton Shaw Sr., 41, of Oregon Hill went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2002. He was the son of the late Harry C. and Fannie B. Shaw. He is survived by his sons, William (Billy) A. Shaw Jr. and J. Cameron Shaw; his sisters, Nancy Logan, Dottie Crigger and husband, Jerry; his brothers, Craig Shaw and wife, Patricia, Jimmy Lee Shaw and Alfred W. Shaw; nieces, Terry, Lisa, Diane and Nicole; three great-neices and one great-nephew. William will be missed by many lifelong friends and a large extended family. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave. Funeral notice will follow. SIDDONS
Dewey C. Siddons, age 79, of Richmond, Va., died Saturday, March 16, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Irene C. Siddons; his son, Derek C. Siddons of Richmond; two daughters, Debra S. Burroughs and Teresa S. Childress, both of Chesterfield; his brother, Primo Parrish; his sisters, Nelda Parrish and Shirley Burton, all of Goochland; and Elinor Dowdy of Powhatan; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild. His remians rest at Lacy Funeral Home, Route 522, Mineral, Va., where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday (tonight). Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in Ragland Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ragland Memorial Baptist Church, 2838 Sandy Hook Rd., Goochland, Va. 23063. Dewey was a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army, and a member of V.F.W. STARKS
Christine Jones Starks entered into eternal rest March 13, 2002. Cherishing her memory are her husband, Benny L. Starks Sr.; son, CPT Benny (Vadrienne) L. Starks Jr.; two nieces, Vikki Taylor of Washington, D.C., Dr. Linda C. Jackson of Atlanta, Ga.; one great-niece, Toyia Taylor of Washington, D.C.; one great-great-niece, Alana Taylor of Washington, D.C.; four devoted cousins, Edith and Claude Henderson, Deacon Yvonne M. Brunson and Lora Pollard; mother-in-law, Viola Feggans of Charlottesville, Va.; a devoted caregiver, Mildred Reddick; a host of other relatives and friends, devoted Cora T. Moore and godchildren. She was an active member of the Pinochle Buffs, Bon Tons Social Club and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She entered the teaching profession in 1958 in Richmond, and retired in June 1997 as an assistant principal/teacher specialist at Robert E. Lee Elementary School. The family will receive friends Monday, March 18, 2002, 6 to 8 p.m. at the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, 2700 North Ave. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 Noon at Sixth Baptist Church (located at the corner of Addison St. and Idlewood Ave.) Pastor Yvonne Jones Bibbs officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes. Foundation. Special thanks to the staff of Retreat Hospital.

STEPHENS
Delores Guill Stephens, 66, of Richmond, died March 16, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Stephens, and is survived by her mother, Marie Guill; brother, David Guill and family; son, Michael Stephens and his wife, Barbara; fiance, Leon Lloyd; grandchildren, Danna Priestley, Katie and Chris Stephens; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Stephens was a retired employee of the State Board of Education. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church, followed by interment in Maury Cemetery.

THOMPSON
Mildred W. Thompson, 82, of Richmond, died March 17, 2002. She is survived by her son, Page N. Melton and his wife, Rebekah; one grandson, Scott. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in Maury Cemetery. THOMPSON
Robert E. "Popeye" Thompson, 77, of Victoria, Va., died March 17, 2002. He was a member of the Victoria United Methodist Church, a retired brakeman/conductor with the Virginian and Norfolk and Western Railway, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a charter and life member of Lunenburg County V.F.W. Post 9954. He is survived by his wife, Edward A. Thompson; three daughters, Wanda Jones and Carolyn Jones, both of Richmond, Brenda Welt of Victoria; two sons, Billy Thompson of Kenbridge, Va., Jimmy Thompson of Tyler, Ala.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday (today), 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, Victoria. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday 11 a.m. at the Victoria Christian Church with interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Victoria. Memorial contributions may be made to the Victoria Christian Church Elevator Fund or your favorite charity.

VOJTUSAK
Mr. Donald David Vojtusak, 70, of Richmond, died on March 16, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Margaret R. Vojtusak; one brother, Bernard Vojtusak of El Paso, Texas; one sister and her husband, Dolores and John Stanoszek of West Mifflin, Pa. Mr. Vojtusak was retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia and was a USMC veteran. He was a past Faithful Navigator and Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church 10 a.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund, 9505 Gayton Road, Richmond, Va. 23233.

WALLACE
Oline Wallace succumbed to breast cancer on March 15, 2002, leaving behind her devoted husband, Thomas J. Wallace. She is also survived by her daughter, Yvonne Long and her husband, Christopher of Richmond; her son, Wayne Ellyson and his wife, Meg of Mechanicsville; one sister, Lois Jean Jones and her husband, James of Monroe, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Tommy and Jonathan Wells, and Morgan Long. Please join others in the fight against breast cancer by making a donation to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Oline Wallace. WATKINS
Blanche Winn Watkins, 94, died at her home in Sutherland Saturday, March 16, 2002 after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Maxwell Watkins in 1991, and her oldest son, Maxwell Winn Watkins Sr. in 1994. They, too, were lifelong Dinwiddie Co. residents. She taught school in Dinwiddie County from 1926 to 1937 and later was a substitute teacher and volunteer for many years. She also taught Sunday School at Trinity UMC for 46 years. She is survived by one son, Winfred Scott Watkins of Sutherland; one daughter, Beverly Watkins Ivey of Brandon, Fla.; two sisters, Lala Winn Bain of Dinwiddie and Virginia Winn Repella of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Edward Milton (Jack) Winn Jr. of Richmond; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of Dinwiddie County and Richmond. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at Trinity UMC, with a viewing at the church from 2 to 3 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
