TAYLOR
Elizabeth Hunt Taylor, 89, of West Point, Va., died Tuesday, July 24, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Taylor. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara and her husband, Dr. Bernard Savage of Richmond; three grandsons, Samuel Taylor Savage and Louis Franklin Savage, both of Richmond and Elliott Randolph Savage and his wife, Debra of Halifax; a great-granddaughter, Lilly Savage; a brother, Harold Hunt of Norge; and a sister, Ruth Virginia Gulden of Mt. Holly Springs, Pa. A memorial service will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. at West Point Christian Church with Rev. Bill Palmer and Dr. Norman West presiding. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to West Point Christian Church, Box 800, West Point, Va. 23181. Vincent Funeral Home handling arrangements.

THOMSON
James McIlhany Thomson, 76, of Berryville, Va., passed away Sunday, July 22, 2001. He was born on August 9, 1924, in New Orleans, La. to the late Paul Jones Thomson and Gretchen Bigelow Thomson. He practiced law for over 50 years, served on the House of Delegates from 1955 to 1977 and had served as commissioner of insurance in the 1980's. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Thomson is survived by two daughters, Teresa Gregson of Richmond, Va. and Sally Dick of Winchester, Va.; two granddaughters, Christine Ann Dick and Amy Thomson Dick both of Winchester, Va. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2001 at Grace Episcopal Church, Berryville, Va. Interment at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town, W.Va. Memorial contributions may be made to VMI Foundation of 1946 Fund, P. O. Box 932, Lexington, Va. Arrangements are being handled by Enders & Shirley Funeral Home of Berryville.

WHITE
Wilbur Franklin White, age 88, of Walkerton, passed away July 24, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aleen B. White. He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Mary W. Holmes of Richmond, Ellen T. White of Mechanicsville, Helen W. Josie of Walnut, Calif. and Barbara W. Ross of Philadelphia, Pa.; two sons-in-law, Edward Thomas Holmes of Richmond, Tyrone James Ross of Philadelphia; one brother, James Weeden of King William; three sisters-in-law, Virginia Weeden of King William, Bertha Anderson of Philadelphia and Ann Webb of Walkerton; five grandsons, one granddaughter-in-law, one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson, a host of nieces, nephews and many devoted friends. Remains rest at the B.W. White Funeral Home, Aylett, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. Service 1 p.m. Saturday at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mr. White was a life long resident of Walkerton, a farmer and landscaper.

ADDISON
Emma Leo Hunnicutt Addison, age 83, of Old Stage Hwy., died Thursday, June 14, 2001. She was a native of Surry Co., a retired clerk and a member of Surry Baptist Church. Survivors include sisters, Doris H. Ellis, Smithfield, and Helen W. Hunnicutt; brother, J. Thomas Hunnicutt, both of Suffolk; stepgrandson, John Marcus, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, June 17, at 2 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, with Rev. Paul Harfst officiating. Burial will follow in Bacon's Castle Old Brick Church Cemetery, Surry. The family will receive friends at the residence of her sister Doris, 5412 Old Stage Hwy., Smithfield. Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield is handling arrangements.

DEAGLE
Leslie W. Deagle, of Mechanicsville, died Thursday, June 14, 2001. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, Rt. 301 and Shady Grove Rd. Interment 11 a.m. Monday, Amelia Veteran Cemetery, Amelia, Va.

EDWARDS
Lillian B. Edwards, age 84, of Richmond, widow of P.M. (Mickey) Edwards Jr., died Thursday, June 14, 2001. She was a member and retired pastoral secretary at the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Chip Edwards and his wife, Deborah; granddaughter, Andrea Edwards; sister, Lorene Kelley and her husband O.P.; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. A graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday in Lanesville Cemetery, King William County.

ELDRIDGE
Departed this life June 13, 2001, Mr. James E. Eldridge, 36, of 2467 Drake St. He is survived by two children, one grandson, four sisters, one brother, five aunts, three uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Scot-Lightfoot Funeral Home, 3021 "N" St., where funeral services will be conducted Monday 1 p.m. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

HAMRICK
Esther Martha Ondrovich Hamrick, age 85, of Richmond, passed on to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 13, 2001. She was the widow of Darrell Forrest Hamrick and is survived by her daughter Karen Sue Hamrick; two sisters, Matylda O. Rhoades and Natalie O. Steele; brother-in-law, Paul Steele and sister-in-law Iva Ondrovich; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her remains rest at Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Road. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 6 pm Sunday at the funeral home, where a funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2001. Interment will follow in the Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Television Ministry fund at First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Ave., Richmond, Va. 23220.

HARRIS
Mrs. Jeanette Brown Harris departed this life June 15, 2001. The staff of the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home is serving her family.

HOWARD
Edna G. Howard, 81, of Richmond, passed away June 14, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred T. Howard. Survivors include her son and his wife, Thomas L. and Joyce Howard; granddaughter and her husband, Angela H. and Dennis Lovett; grandson and his wife, Thomas L. Jr. and Tamra Howard; great-grandson, Joseph Seamster; great-granddaughter, Jordan Howard; one brother and his wife, Irvin L. and Vivian Griffin; and special family relative, Lynda R. Powell. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospital.

HULTZ
Agnus Kanak Hultz, 99, formerly of Richmond, Va., died Thursday, June 14, 2001 in John Randolph Nursing Home in Hopewell. She was born in Prince George Co., Va., was the daughter of the late John Sr. and Mollie Stasney Kanak, and the widow of Robert L. Hultz. Mrs. Hultz graduated from MCV School of Nursing in 1922, was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, Richmond, and was retired from Mark Freidman Clothing Co. She is survived by three brothers, Lawrence Kanak and wife, Lonie of Richmond, Ben Kanak and wife, Cheryl of Prince George, Dan Kanak of Birmingham, Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Bea Kanak of Hopewell and Ema Hultz Satterfield of West Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 17, 2001 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 18, 2001 at 3 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, with the Rev. Bob Lamb, pastor of Wamsley Boulevard United Methodist Church, officiating. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.

JOSEPH
Coleman George Joseph was born on Palm Sunday, March 20, 1932, in Richmond, Va. and passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2001. He graduated from Benedictine High School in 1951. He later joined the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. During his military tour, he married his childhood companion and love, Barbara Anne Simon of Richmond, Va. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Earl Joseph Sr. of Nehan, Lebanon; his mother, Bertha Kouri Joseph of Richmond, Va. and older brother, Eugene Albert Joseph of Richmond, Va. He is survived by two cherished sisters, Mrs. Albert Chezik, formerly Kathleen "Mae" Joseph, Mrs. Robert Lyell, formerly Jean Marie "Busma" Joseph; one beloved brother, Albert Earl (Junior) Joseph; his loving and deeply devoted wife of 48 years, Barbara Simon Joseph; and five beloved children, Sandra Joseph Brown, Christopher Coleman Joseph, Ronald Coleman Joseph, Robin Joseph Hogge, Leslie Joseph Sobel and their respective spouses; six cherished grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and dear friend, Wallace "Wally" Tinsley. After his retirement from the restaurant industry, Mr. Joseph devoted much time and energy to church and community. He was an outstanding fundraiser, and he was dedicated to helping family and friends. Mr. Joseph was deeply devoted to his faith and his church community, he was a member of The American Legion (Post 137). His remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where family will receive friends on Sunday, June 17, 2001, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. with a Christian Wake Service to follow at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 4611 Sadler Rd., Glen Allen, Va., on Monday, June 18, 2001 at 11 a.m. with interment at Mt. Cavalry Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church.

KEENEY
Norbert S. "Buck" Keeney, 78, passed away June 12, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his children, Cheryl Bryant, Richmond and Norbert Keeney II, Shreveport, La.; eight grandchildren, including William Phillips and Lana Phillips of Richmond; four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund, 300 West Main Street, Somerset, Ky. 42501 or American Legion, Post 38 Honor Guard, Box 123, Somerset, Ky. 42502. All services will be private.

KING
Maria Theresa King, 39, "Marie the Great", died Sunday, June 10, 2001. Born and raised in Richmond, Va. Preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Stahl. She is survived by her father, Lawrence King; stepfather, Thomas Stahl; her four sisters, Mary, Monica, Elizabeth and Melissa; two brothers, Chris and Lanny; grandparents, Joseph and Margaret Essid. Memorial service will be held Sunday, June 17, 2001, on the banks of the James River.

LUNDY
Michael T. Lundy, of Brodnax, died June 14, 2001. Survived by his mother, Shirley Tanner Lundy of Brodnax; his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Russ Wells of South Hill; his sister, Wanda Lambert of Cherokee, N.C. and a special friend, Sylvia Anderson of Brodnax. Service 2 p.m. Sunday at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home. Interment Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation Saturday 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
