Willie T. (Lil-Man) Davis Jr. departed this life March 18, 2001. He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Helen Cooke, Rosa Williams; four aunts, one brother-in-law, five nieces, 14 great-nieces and nephews, three great-great-nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, 1 p.m. at the Carlton T. Brooks Funeral Home, 2200 Hull St. Rev. Shirley Stewart officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery. Mrs. Yun Pu Du, 97, of Richmond, died Thursday, March 15, 2001. She is survived by two sons and their wives, James and Alice Du and Dick and Linda Du; a daughter, Shu-Cheng Du; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., with a prayer service being conducted at 8 p.m. in the chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.

FARMER
Ola Crowder Farmer, 90, of Culpeper, formerly of Scottsburg, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001. She is survived by one daughter, Frances Ann Farmer of Richmond; and three half sisters, Virginia Seamster of Chesapeake, Doris Seamster of Danville and Irene Guill of Hurt. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with an elderly person. Arrangements by the Central Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home.

FLEMING
Mrs. Marie Brown Fleming of 2913 Magnus Lane, formerly of Scott Road, departed this life March 20, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dr. Emmett Lloyd Fleming Sr., former pastor of Sixth Baptist Church and Morning Star Baptist Church, Burrowsville, Va. Surviving are three sons, Dr. Emmett L. Fleming Jr. of Fredericksburg, Va., Major F. Fleming Sr. and Gerald A. Fleming of Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Winona Fleming Holmes of Richmond, Va.; seven grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Mary C. and Terry Fleming; one son-in-law, Harry J. Holmes III; three sisters-in-law, Nora and Jeanette Fleming, and Elizabeth Lash; three brothers-in-law, George Haskell, Walter Lash Sr. and Franklin Fleming Sr.; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Boulevard. After 10 a.m. Saturday, remains will rest in Sixth Baptist Church, 400 S. Addison Street, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Yvonne Jones Bibbs officiating. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.

Elsie Hazel Mealy Harris, 96, of Goochland, Va., passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2001. She was the widow of Walter James Harris. She is survived by a sister, Cordelia Mealy Hill of Burlington, N.J.; a godchild, William Hill of Burlington, N.J.; a host of nieces, nephews and a multitude of cousins and friends. Remains rest at the Robert Mealy Funeral Home, Goochland, Va. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2001 at Emmaus Baptist Church, Goochland.

Harvey Hedgepeth of Richmond departed this life Monday, March 19, 2001. Harvey is survived by his son, Harvey C. Hedgepeth Jr.; mother, Ethel Hedgepeth Sills; brother, Harold Hedgepeth; sister, Linda Hedgepeth; fiancee, Christy Law; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Died March 20, 2001, Mary Ennis Huber, 77, of Richmond. She is survived by her children, Mary Patterson and Rocky Bailey; three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, two nieces, one nephew, and her friends at The Dominion Place. The family will receive friends Friday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Road, followed by a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, 23058-5216. Mrs. Huber retired from Nabisco after 15 years of service. Her feisty spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Elizabeth S. "Stevi" Johns, of Richmond, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Steven K. Johns; son, Christopher Hicks; sister, Deborah Simmons Rockwell of Birmingham, Ala.; a brother, Walter Burnton Simmons II of Las Vegas, Nevada; niece, Ann Kathryn Rockwell; and several cousins. Mrs. Johns was a graduate of Westhampton College and a former member of Tuckahoe Woman's Club. A memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.

Dixon; three nieces, three nephews, three great-nieces, three great- nephews and cousins; daughter-in-law, Gail Coles Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Adams and Gwendolyn Hopkins; two brothers-in-law, LeVonne and Peyton Johnson; and other relatives and friends. McCULLUM
Charles Albert McCullum, a former resident of Ruxton Health Care Center, quietly went home to God on March 20, 2001. Formerly of Jersey City, N.J. until 1995, he moved to Richmond for health reasons. He is survived by three nieces, Marjorie Lewis, Barbara A. Jones and Cynthia Simmons (New York); great-niece, Maya Lewis; other relatives and friends. His remains rest at the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, 1 p.m. at Virginia Veteran's Cemetery at Amelia. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association.

MILLER
Ann Sweeney Miller, 83, of Richmond, Va., born September 4, 1917 in El Paso, Texas, died March 20, 2001 at her daughter's residence in Waxhaw, N.C. Ann Miller was the wife of Col. Raymond O. Miller. Her steadfast partnership throughout his military and civilian careers played a pivotal role in uplifting the family and the communities, which she served. As an Army wife, she was dedicated to the care and needs of families serving with her. She was an active leader and community volunteer. While she was a talented violinist, artist, and bridge player, her greatest talent was in sharing her love. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Raymond O. Miller; her parents, Dr. John T.R. Sweeney and Effie Tolbert Sweeney; one son, Raymond O. Miller Jr.; and her sister, Anita Sweeney. She is survived by her children, Patricia Hodges of Waxhaw, N.C., Charles Miller of Broken Arrow, Okla., Phyllis McDonald of Acworth, Ga. and Linda Root of O'Fallon, Ill.; her sister, Frances Curle of Richmond; nine grandchildren, Samuel, Deborah, Christina, Scott, Andrew, Aric, Jennifer, Celeste and Craig; daughter-in-law, Maurice Miller; son-in-law, Frank McDonald; and two great-grandchildren, Darby and Aidan. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to any local Alzheimer's Association or to the Army Emergency Relief Fund.

O'CONNELL
James Joseph O'Connell, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Margaret G. O'Connell; and a son, James Joseph O'Connell III and his wife, Jane Lee O'Connell; a granddaughter, Julia Hundley O'Connell, all of Richmond; a brother, Martin John O'Connell Sr. of Hackettstown, N.J. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas F. O'Connell. Mr. O'Connell was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday night at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 West Broad St., Glen Allen. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Glen Allen. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Chadworth "Chad" Parsons Sr., age 63, died March 20, 2001. He was retired from Beacon Press and is survived by his wife, Charlene; his sons, Chad Jr., Byron Creig and his wife, Karen; grandson, Nicholas Creig; brothers, Curt of Big Stone Gap, Va., Lowell of Richmond, Va., and Roger of Rogersville, Tenn. The family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Shiloh Pentecostal, 3400 Courthouse Rd., Richmond. Edwin T. Paulette, age 80, of Mechanicsville, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Arlene T. Paulette; his son and daughter-in-law, Dennis E. and JoAnne Paulette of Lively, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and William P. Cunnane of Glen Allen, Va.; two grandchildren, Stephanie, and Patrick Cunnane; two brothers, Gene Paulette of Urbanna, Va., and Jerry Paulette of Lynchburg, Va.; also four sisters-in-law, Mildred, Rubye, Katherine, and Jean Paulette. Remains rest Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday in Westhampton Memorial Park.
