Marjorie C. Stanley
The funeral for Marjorie Clark Stanley, 84, of Martinsville and formerly of Stanleytown, who died Dec. 26, 2005, was held Wednesday at Stanleytown United Methodist Church. The Revs. Dr. Tilden Bridges and Paul Johnson officiated. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Clark, Cliff Clark, Mike Clark, Kevin Griffith, Chuck Fox and Jim Kelly.
Arrangements were by Collins Funeral Service in Bassett.

David A. Whitlow
David Alan Whitlow, 50, of 809 Blackberry Road, Bassett, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
He was born in Martinsville on June 12, 1955, to Bernice Parcell Whitlow of Bassett and Starling Whitlow. He was preceded in death by his father.
He graduated from Fieldale-Collinsville High School, and worked as an upholsterer for more than 30 years at Virginia Furniture Crafters. He was a member of the Bassett Church of the Brethren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Collins Funeral Services chapel in Bassett, with the Rev. Gary Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund at Bassett Church of the Brethren, 34 Brethren Drive, Bassett, Va. 24055.

Mamie F. Witt
A funeral for Mamie Ferguson Witt, 83, formerly of Bassett, who died Dec. 24, 2005, was held Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Bassett with the Revs. Lew Bennett and Robert Breckenridge officiating. Burial was in Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren cemetery.
Pallbearers were Stan Foster, Steve Foster, Bernard Stone, Clifford Martin, Clinton Martin and Mike Keffer.
Arrangements were by Collins Funeral Services in Bassett.

Amos L. Belcher
A funeral for Amos L. "Bud" Belcher, 79, of Stuart, who died Dec. 26, 2005, was held Thursday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial was in Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Haden, Delano Pendleton, David Haden, W.C. Haden, Dean Belcher and Willie Haden.

George J. Collins
A graveside service for George Junior Collins, 69, of Collinsville, who died Dec. 24, 2005, was held Wednesday at Roselawn Burial Park with Charles R. Tomlinson officiating.
Pallbearers were S.T. Fulcher Jr., Phillip Woods, Dale Wilson and Donald Ashby.
Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Joe S. Cox
Joe Sanders Cox, 64, of 911 Old Sand Road, Ridgeway, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
He was born in Henry County on July 21, 1941, to Grady Cox and Virginia Moore Cox. They preceded him in death.
He was owner and operator of Joe's Plumbing Service.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine Nester Cox of the home; two sons, David Cox of Bassett and Joseph Cox of Richmond; two sisters, Mable Lampkin and Fannie Shrader, both of Ridgeway; two brothers, James Cox and Charlie Cox, both of Ridgeway; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Norris Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Albert Robertson officiating. Burial will be in the Cox family cemetery at Ridgeway.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service Saturday, and other times at the residence.
Norris Funeral Services and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Channie W. Crotts
A funeral for Channie Wood Crotts, 90, of Stuart, who died Dec. 25, 2005, was held Thursday at New Hope Church of the Brethren with Pastors Rick Randall and Danny Gilley officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were J.T. Foley, Larry Crotts, Donnie Wood, Ronnie Haynes, Elmo Chaney, James Foley, Teddy Lawless and Dean Wood.
Moody Funeral Home, Stuart, was in charge of arrangements.

Ellen Floyd
A funeral for Ellen Sue Floyd, 93, of Martinsville, who died Dec. 25, 2005, was held Dec. 29, 2005, at McKee-Stone Funeral Services with the Rev. John Fulcher officiating. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ken Engle, Joe Engle, Tom Davis, Robin Davis, Justian Kelly, Stuart Newman, Billy Smith and Dick Jordan.

Kevin A. Frazier
A funeral for Kevin A. Frazier, 43, of Martinsville, who died Dec. 24, 2005, was held Thursday at Hairston Funeral Home with the Rev. Ruben J. Boyd Jr. officiating. Burial was in Carver Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Stan Harris, Chris Hairston, Bernard Hairston, Cary Dalton, Leon Inge, Deon Inge, James Brown and Earl Preston Jr.

Thelma C. Gilbert
A funeral for Thelma Mae Clark Gilbert, 89, formerly of Fieldale, who died Dec. 26, 2005, was held Thursday at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. John Thompson and Brother Lawrence Warden officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Burial Park.
Pallbearers were S.T. Fulcher Jr., Patricia Belton, Phillip Woods and Dale Wilson.

Leonard H. Hubbard
Leonard Hampton Hubbard, 70, of Meadows of Dan, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Patrick County on July 19, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Dan Hubbard and India Mae Wood Hubbard; an infant son, Joseph Andrew Hubbard; and three infant sisters.
He retired as a supervisor from Bassett-Walker/VF Industries with 43 years of service. He was a member of Parkway Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are his wife, Iva Jane Belcher Hubbard of the home; a son, Todd Hampton Hubbard of Suffolk; three grandchildren; four brothers, Luther Hubbard, Eugene Hubbard, Raymond Hubbard and Howard Hubbard, all of Meadows of Dan; and a sister, Lelia Hubbard of Ferrum.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Danny Gilley officiating. Burial will be in the Hubbard family cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Vesta Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 238, Vesta, Va. 24177.

Robert B. McCutcheon
The funeral for Robert Bruce McCutcheon, 85, of Martinsville, who died Dec. 27, 2005, was held Thursday at Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dr. Ellen Hanckel and the Rev. Lynwood Wells officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James B. Andrews II, James B. Andrews III, Rives Brown Coleman, William Marshall Farley, Mark Holland, John W. Jones, Kyle S. Trent, William L. Andrews Jr., Marshall Randolph Barnes, Carter V. Fox, J. Clyde Hooker Jr., Dr. William D. Prince III, Carter B. Smith, Charles P. Smith, Randolph Thomas, Dr. George Wallace, George L. Wiebel Jr. and Fredrick V. Woodson.
McKee-Stone Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
