WARREN
Harold Warren, 76, of Hopewell, died on Thursday, December 13, 2001. Survivors include his wife, Mary Warren; two daughters, Debra Snead and Pat Stowe; sisters, Tinnie Barker and Janie Caine; three grandchildren, Crystal Ottley, Angel Terry and Carrie Martin; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 16, 2001 at 3 p.m. at Kippax Place, 100 Sout Kippax Street, Hopewell.

WILLIAMS
Virginia S. Williams, 71, widow of Walter J. Williams, died December 11, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Richard and David Williams; her daughter, Toni Morgan; and her grandchildren, Dean, Wesley and Taylor Williams and Lisa and Melissa Morgan. A memorial service will be held at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., Richmond, at 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2001.

WILLIAMSON
James T. "Jim" Williamson Sr., 80, of Richmond, has gone to meet his heavenly Father on Thursday, December 13, 2001. He is survived by his faithful wife, Shirley; four children, Vivian Gribble, Pat Williamson, James T. Williamson Jr. and Lynn Alexander; five stepchildren, Dale Huston and Pat Schmeltzer, both of Pennsylvania, Tom Schmeltzer, Ron Schmeltzer of Colorado and a very devoted stepdaughter, Debra Banks; three sisters, Geneva Lowery and Doris Jean, both of Mississippi and Marie Stanford of Florida; two brothers, Aubrey Williamson of Alabama and Charles Williamson of West Virginia; and 16 grandchildren. Mr. Williamson served in the Marines during WWII in the South Pacific. He retired from American Bakery Co. after 30 years of service and was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Beulah United Methodist Church. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church or the Hospice at McGuire Veterans' Hospital.

WILSON
Woodrow Wilson of Richmond departed this life Friday, December 14, 2001. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral notice later.

ALBERT
Phyllis B. Albert of Richmond passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2001. She was born in Meadow Bridge, W.Va., the daughter of Naomi Belle Halsey and the late Lester Cline Bragg. Along with her mother, she is survived by her son, Jeffrey A. Bragg; daughter, Nicole M. Call; two sisters, Willetta Sue Tolbert and Zetty B. Tibbs; brother, Lester Bruce Bragg; one grandson, and several nieces and a nephew. Phyllis will be greatly missed as a loving mother, sister and friend. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday. Interment Washington Memorial Park.

BAKER
Bruce J. Baker, 59, of Mechanicsville, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Candy Baker; his dad, Donald C. Baker; his son, T. James "T.J." Baker and his wife, Kitty; two grandsons, Brian and Randall Bonds; his sisters, Carol O'Brien and her husband, Dennis, Cathy Wade and her husband, Jimmy, Mary Randall and her husband, Roy; his brothers, Jerry Baker and his wife, Marlene, Kenny Baker and his wife, Mary, Jimmy Baker and his wife, JoAnna; an aunt, seven nephews and eight nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Katherine Baker; and a sister, Anne O'Hara. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd. Mass of the Resurrection, 9 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Redeemer. Entombment Westhampton Mausoleum, following which, family and friends are invited back to Church of the Redeemer for a reception. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116.

BARLOW
W.R. (Rufus) Barlow, 96, departed this life May 14, 2001. Survivors include Reuben Edwards, George Barlow Jr.; devoted cousin, Alice Leftwich. Graveside service will be held Friday 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery. Chiles Funeral Home graciously serving the family.

BASSETT
Lavinia C. Bassett peacefully departed this life Tuesday, May 15, 2001. The family is saddened to lose such a caring family member. She will be missed by her sons, Heywood and Howard Johnson; two daughters-in-law, Rosalind and Zina Johnson; granddaughter, Shelby Johnson; grandson, Renard Roots; sister-in-law, Lucille T. Coles; brother-in-law, Willis K. Anderson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; also, two devoted companions, Pearl and Anthony Wingfield. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, 11 a.m. from Moore Street Baptist Church, with Dr. Alonza Lawrence officiating. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Remains will rest in church one hour prior to service.

BILLUPS
William Lawrence Billups Sr., 61, of Richmond, formerly of Pax, W.Va., and devoted husband of Margaret Darnall Billups, passed away May 16, 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Willie Billups; one brother, Richard Billups. He is survived by two children, Bill Billups, Laura Gindek and her husband, Dave; one brother, James E. Billups and his wife, Helen; three grandchildren, David, Megan and Kaitlin Gindek. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment will take place 1:30 p.m. Monday at Quantico National Cemetery.

Millard Bolling Sr., 91, of Goochland, Va., departed this life Wednesday, May 16, 2001. Remains rest at the Robert Mealy Funeral home, Goochland. Funeral notice later.

BURRUSS
John Ellison Burruss of Mineral, Va., died Tuesday, May 15, 2001 in Henrico Doctors' Hospital. Funeral notice later. Thomasson's Funeral Service, Inc., in Louisa is in charge of arrangements.

CONNER
Mary Miller Conner, 80, of Richmond, formerly of Elkton, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2001. She was the widow of Robert Glen Conner and was preceded in death by her son, R. Daniel Conner. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen M. Conner; son, Thomas H. Conner; sisters, Hazel M. Parham and Lois M. Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Conner was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Memorial Park, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to her service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058-5216 or to the charity of your choice.

CRAWLEY
Departed this life May 15, 2001, Milton "Boo Boo" Crawley Jr. of Richmond, Va. He is survived by two sons, Brandon Crawley and Jamahr Jackson; one daughter, Jasmine Jackson; one sister, Angelina Crawley; two brothers, Stanley and James Crawley; devoted friend, Donna Hicks; and family and friends. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m., Oakwood Cemetery. Chiles gracefully serving the family.

FIGG
Carrie Walls Figg, 82, of Peachtree Dr., Hopewell, died May 15, 2001 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in New Kent Co., Virginia. Mrs. Figg was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Hopewell and was owner of the Apartment House, 4106 Hermitage Rd., Richmond, Va. and was a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Figg Jr.; parents, Ruby D. and Minnie Tillman Walls; and brother, R. Edgar Walls; and a sister, Kathleen Walls. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Figg Hopkins and husband, Ned of Hopewell, Va.; son, William H. Figg III and wife, Sue of Kansas City, Mo.; grandsons, Lee and Laine; two great-grandsons, Solomon and Kailer; a sister, Inez Walls Lewis of Jackson, Miss. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 18, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the Brandon Episcopal Church Cemetery, Burrowsville, with Rev. Dr. Edward Bushong, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, Hopewell, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 505 Cedar Lane, Hopewell, Va. 23860 or Jackson/Feild Home for Girls, 546 Walnut Grove Dr., Jarratt, Va. 23867.

GREENAWALT
Donald Theodore Greenawalt, 80, of Stafford, Va. died at his home Tuesday, May 15, 2001. Born in Hopewell, Pa. to the late George Washington and Elva Batzel Greenawalt. Mr. Greenawalt retired from the USMC after 30 years, which included service during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. He was a member of Canaan's Faith Church of God. Mr. Greenawalt is survived by his wife, Catherine Jane Greenawalt of Stafford, Va.; two sons, Rev. Dennis B. Greenawalt (Sandra) of Fredericksburg, Va., Timothy D. Greenawalt (Victoria) of Richmond, Va.; four brothers, George Greenawalt of Everett, Pa., Joe Greenawalt of Loysburg, Pa., Frank Greenawalt of Bedford, Pa. and Jim Greenawalt of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Mary Alice Guyer of Riverside, Calif., Betty Ebersole of Loysburg, Pa., and Shirley Hill of New Hope, Pa.; granddaughters, Jennifer and Kelly Greenawalt, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Canaan's Faith Church of God, with funeral services at 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 18, Rev. E.T. Bourne officiating. Interment with full military honors at Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Canaan's Faith Church of God. Arrangements are being handled by Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel.
