WATSON
Waverly G. Watson, 65, of Chester, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, October 25, 2001. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Laura and Mearl Watson; and a brother, Curtis Watson. He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Kendrick and Penny Watson; four sisters, Bernice Fenner, Grace Revels, Ruth Wootton and Joyce Crook; and two grandsons, Christopher and Daniel Kendrick. Mr. Watson was an Air Force veteran and was a retired truck driver for Boc Gases with 30 years of service. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.

WILKINS
Felix E. Wilkins of 2406 Concord Ave. departed this life Tuesday, October 23, 2001 in McGuire Veterans Hospital. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 1 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, 2305 Concord Ave. Rev. Reginald H. Carter, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Quantico National Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends attending funeral services, assemble at the church Saturday, 12:30 p.m.

ALBRIGHT
Infant Benjamin Perry Albright died Tuesday, January 30, 2001. Survivors include his father and mother, Reuben and Joncie Albright; one sister, Shannon Nicole Albright; his paternal grandparents, Reuben and Shirley Albright; his maternal grandparents, Guile and Lillian Maxon; his paternal uncles and aunts, Robert and Linda Albright, Donald and Stanette Albright, Thomas Albright, Ann Kimberly Albright, Karen Kyle and James Albright; his maternal uncles and aunts, Bartley and Felicia Maxon and Bradley and Lynn Maxon; and numerous loving cousins. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2001 at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., Glen Allen, where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2001.

BELFIELD
Myrtle Brooke Belfield, age 96, of Warsaw, died on Tuesday, January 30, 2001. Mrs. Belfield was the widow of George S. Belfield and a member of Newland Church of Christ. She is survived by three sons, David C. Belfield and G. Gaylord Belfield, both of Warsaw, and R. Bruce Belfield of Mechanicsville; also 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Belfield was preceded in death by a daughter, Minnie Belle Hamblin. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 2, at Newland Church of Christ with burial in the Belfield Family Cemetery, Farmers Fork. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the Welch-Marks Funeral Home, Warsaw.

BIEROWSKI
Joseph Edward Bierowski Sr., devoted husband and father, passed away January 30, 2001, at his daughter and son-in-law's home in Kents Store, Va. Mr. Bierowski was preceded in death this week by his sister, Dorothy Feifer of Mount Carmel, Pa. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret Mary Strocko Bierowski. His family includes four sons and their families, Tom and Linda Bierowski of Midlothian, Va., John and Carolyn Bierowski of Chesterfield, Va., Jim and Betsey Bierowski of St. Croix, USVI, Joe and Aimee Bierowski of Orange, Conn.; three daughters and their families, Judy Dickerson of Richmond, Va., Jody and Gillie Jenkins of Kents Store, Va., Ann and Mike Draper of Glen Allen, Va.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; as well as his canine companions, Gracie and Nellie. Mr. Bierowski was born in 1917 in Mount Carmel, Pa. He is survived by two brothers and their families, Robert Bierowski of Elysburg, Pa., Jim Bierowski of Mount Carmel, Pa.; and a sister, Anna Maloch of Elysburg, Pa.; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Bierowski retired as purchasing agent for Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation after 34 years of service. He was a founding member of Catholic Church of the Epiphany in 1979 and served as a volunteer staff member for 21 years. His warm heart and hugs will be missed. His remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 1. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at Catholic Church of the Epiphany, 11000 Smoketree Drive at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 2. Burial at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1490 Pantops Mountain Place, Suite 200, Charlottesville, Va. 22911.

BLACKWOOD
Hazel Ann Blackwood, 82, of Florida, died Tuesday, January 30, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Blackwood; her son, Gordon A. Jeter; and grandson, Allen Pemberton. She is survived by three daughters, Ann and husband, Russell Hobson Jr., Audrey and her husband, Leroy Bordonie, Alice Powell of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; one son, Norbourne P. "Sunny" Jeter Jr. and wife, Sharon; two sisters, Lucille Holcomb of Columbia, Va., and Dorothy Woodard of New Bern, N.C.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Melton Family Cemetery, Cohassett, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc.

BLUNT
Mrs. Lucille Victoria Blunt, 84, died Sunday, January 28, 2001. Mrs. Blunt was born April 12, 1917, in Windsor, Vt., daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Victoria Aurelia Fecteau. Mrs. Blunt was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Herbert Oliver Blunt, whom she married in 1955, making their home at Shadow Lawn, Indian Neck, Va. Mrs. Blunt was retired from the Selective Service and the King and Queen County Farm Bureau. Her funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on February 3 at B.W. White Funeral Home, Aylett, Va. A graveside service will follow at Upper King and Queen Baptist Church. Friends will be received at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday.

BRIDGEWATER
Fannie Robinson Bridgewater, 84, of Varina, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2001. She was the widow of Linwood Bridgewater and is survived by one son, Wilbur E. Bridgewater; two sisters, Lorean Byram and Margaret Chandler; two grandchildren, Patty Bridgewater Elliott and Michael Bridgewater. Mrs. Bridgewater was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church. Her remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3. Interment Pioneer Baptist Church Cemetery.

CANDERELLI
Jerelynn D. Canderelli, 56, formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away January 30, 2001. Survivors include her husband, Nicholas Richard Canderelli Sr.; one son, Nicholas R. Canderelli Jr. and his wife, Kathleen; two daughters, Carolyn D. Canderelli and Angela T. Murphy and her husband, Michael; one brother, Edward J. Lydtin Jr.; three grandchildren, Gina-Marie Canderelli, Patrick S. Canderelli and Bridget A. Canderelli; and a great-great-aunt, Grace Hartford. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St. Rd., where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, and where a Wake will be held at 7 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Edward's Catholic Church. Interment Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

CHEW
Constance G. Chew, age 91, of Richmond, widow of Charles P. Chew, died Monday, January 29, 2001. She is survived by her son, Charles P. Chew Jr. of Richmond; a daughter, Eleanor C. Winnard of Moore, S.C.; a brother, John A. Gilmore of Camden, S.C.; four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Hermitage Methodist Home, 1600 Westwood Ave. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hermitage Methodist Home. Woody Funeral Home, Laburnum Chapel, in charge of arrangements.

CLARK
Sharon Lee Clark, 47, of Midlothian, nurse with the Chesterfield County Mental Health Clinic, died suddenly January 29, 2001. She is survived by her mother, Reta K. Clark of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; her father, Vernon C. Clark and his wife, Carolyn of Port Jervis, N.Y.; brother, Michael L. Clark and his wife, Gayle of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; also a niece, Catie Clark. A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Interment private. As Sharon was a volunteer for the Richmond AIDS Ministry, the family requests contributions be made to the AIDS Ministry of Richmond, c/o of Fan Free Clinic, 101 N. Thompson St., Richmond, Va. 23230.

COLLINS
Frances Murphy Collins, widow of Thomas Heuwt Collins, died Tuesday, January 30, 2001. She is survived by four sons, Thomas H. Collins Jr. of Towson, Md., John B. Collins of Clearwater, Fla., William F. Collins of Richmond and James S. Collins of Charlotte, N.C. She is also survived by her sister, Catharine Collins of Silver Spring, Md.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive relatives and friends at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd., W., Silver Spring, Md., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 2, at 12 noon at St. Patrick's Church, Norbeck, Md. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity, 2800 Otis St., N.E., Washington, D.C. 20015.

COOKE
Rev. Jesse W. Cooke Jr. of Richmond went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 30, 2001. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Sara Killian Cooke; his son, Coleman W. Cooke and his wife, Linda P. Cooke of Sandston, Va.; his daughter, Christine Cooke Darg and her husband, Peter A. Darg; and two grandsons, David Darg and Daniel Darg of Hereford, England. Rev. Cooke honorably retired from Fairfield Presbyterian Church in 1982, served as associate pastor at Third Presbyterian Church and was a retired veteran of World War II. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Avenue, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 2. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, at 10:30 a.m. at Third Presbyterian Church. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairfield Presbyterian Church, Third Presbyterian Church, or a charity of your choice.

DAVIS
Gladys Petty Dodge Davis, 94, died January 31, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Parker B. Davis; and son, Donald C. Dodge. Surviving are daughter, Dorothy Dodge Noon and her husband, Robert Lee Noon of San Clemente, Calif.; and daughter-in-law, Ann Hersman Dodge of Deltaville and Richmond; four stepsons, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Davis was a member of Welborne United Methodist Church, the Betsy Ross Chapter of Eastern Star and Sleepy Hollow Garden Club. She was also the founder and first president of Dogwood Doll and Toy Club and Miniature Enthusiasts of Virginia. Interment Hollywood Cemetery.

DAVIS

DeLOACH
James D. DeLoach Sr., 78, of Goochland, Va., died January 30, 2001. He is survived by his son, James D. DeLoach Jr. of Cartersville, Va.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; also five brothers and four sisters. Remains rest at the Norman Funeral Home, Goochland, Va., where family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside service will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at Maury Cemetery, Richmond, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.

DONNER
Peggy McLane Donner, 45, passed away January 30, 2001. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan. She is survived by her son, Matthew O'Brien; her parents, Robert and Jeanette Donner; three brothers, Stephen, David and his wife, Brenda, and Robert Donner Jr. and his wife, JoAnn; one sister, Mary Carol; two nephews, Christopher and Jonathan Donner; two nieces, Kelsey Donner and Melody Marton. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, with interment to follow, Mount Calvary Cemetery.

DROZESKI
Roland Gordon Drozeski, 92, of Richmond, died January 30, 2001. He is survived by his son, Gordon A. Drozeski of New Orleans; granddaughter, two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons; nephew and wife, Neil and Betty Drozeski of Richmond. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where the family will receive friends 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, and where the Christian Wake will be held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Interment Friday in Trinity Cemetery, Erie, Pa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the American Red Cross.

DUFFY
Viola W. Duffy of Buffalo, N.Y., formerly of Richmond, died Sunday, January 28, 2001. She was the widow of Edward J. Duffy. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia D. Waldron of Richmond; her grandson, Christopher W. Waldron; five brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute or Buffalo Hospice.
