GREEN
Virginia Fuqua Green, 99, widow of Samuel D. Green, died Saturday, December 8, 2001. A native of Surry County, Va., she was the daughter of the late John Winston and Eva Virginia Fuqua. She was a Peninsula resident for 50 years before moving to Richmond in 1986. Mrs. Green was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Newport News and a former member of the Newport News Women's Club. She was a graduate of Blackstone College for Girls. An avid gardener, she and her husband hosted Garden Week at their home in the mid 1980s. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Evalane G. and William P. Slaughter of Richmond; two grandchildren, David Edward Slaughter of Fullerton, Calif. and Claire Slaughter Ballard of Richmond; and two great-grandsons, twins, Adam and William Ballard. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 11, 2001, beginning at 1:30 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. The Rev. Glen H. Cannon will officiate. Burial will be at Peninsula Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Organ Fund, 228 29th St., Newport News, Va. 23607 or Lakewood Manor Baptist Retirement Home, 1900 Lauderdale Drive, Richmond, Va. 23233.

HOBSON
Percy Leon Hobson Jr. departed this life December 6, 2001 at the Hackensack University Medical Center. Percy Leon Hobson Jr. was born February 15, 1957 in Englewood, New Jersey. He was the elder child of Percy L. Hobson Sr. and Edith Mosby Hobson Lomax. Percy Jr. was educated through the Edglewood, New Jersey school system. As a result, he graduated from Bergen Vocational High School in Hackensack, New Jersey. During Percy's school years, he resided with his father, Percy Sr. Percy was very gifted with his hands and possessed a great love of cars. He was self-employed most of his adult life, and was a very proficient auto mechanic and auto body repairman. He leaves to mourn his memory his parents, Percy L. Hobson Sr. and Edith Lomax, Glen Allen, Va.; two sons, Daniel and Shawn; one daughter, Aaliyah; seven brothers, Alvin, Jerome, Rocky Mount, N.C., Dwight, Cornell, Robert, Shawn and Frederick S. Lomax Jr., Jacksonville, Fla.; six sisters, Denise, Karen, Frenchola, Tanya, Karnette Lomax, Richmond, Va. and Nicole; a devoted grandmother, Mildred Mosby, Richmond, Va.; two aunts, Claudia Johnson, Saluda, Va. and Geraldine Christian, Washington, D.C.; three uncles, Matthew Hobson, Mt. Laurel, N.J., Maurice Hobson, Houston, Texas and Lee Davis, Atlanta, Ga.; and two dear friends, Aldef Sutherland and Tanya Oliver; two brothers-in-law, Bernard McCall and Darryl Suber; two sisters-in-law, Rozell Hobson, Rocky Mount, N.C. and Jolica Hobson. Funeral services will be held at the Nesbitt Funeral Home in Englewood, N.J. on Tuesday, December 11, 2001.

JAQUETTE
Craig Mitchell Jaquette, 34, of Tarboro, N.C., beloved father, son and brother went home to be with his Lord, Friday, December 7, 2001. Craig is survived by his daughter, Harley Jaquette; his father, Lindley Jaquette of Richmond, his mother and step-father, Connie and Bruce Simon of Chesterfield; his sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and Jeff Dyer, and niece, Rebekah, of Midlothian; his sister, Valerie Taylor and nephews, Cody and Hunter of Richmond; his aunt and uncle, Judy and Jim VanHoff of Powhatan; and his aunt and uncle, Joyce and Norman Hunt of Wauchula, Fla. A memorial service in honor of Craig's life on earth will be held at The House of Prayer, 10500 Newby's Bridge Rd., Chesterfield, Va, 23832, December 12, at 7 p.m. Jesus put a special love in Craig's heart for children; therefore, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The House of Prayer's Children's Ministry.

KENNEDY
Departed this life December 6, 2001, Mr. Isaac (Ike) Kennedy of 1920 Stonewall Ave. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. Rev. Kenneth Davis officiating. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.

MASON
Vera Mae Mason, 65, of North Carolina, and a Petersburg resident for 35 years, died December 7, 2001. A memorial service will be held at West End Baptist Church in Dinwiddie County, 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2001.

MATTHEWS
Rebecca P. Matthews, 64, of Emporia, died Sunday, December 9, 2001. She is survived by her husband, June M. Matthews; two sons, Lynwood M. Matthews of Emporia and James N. Matthews of Rocky Mount, N.C.; her mother, Mildred Puryear of Emporia; and one grandson, John Matthews. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday (tonight) at Owen Funeral Home in Jarratt, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2001. Interment Gardens of Emporia Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions may be made to Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad.

MILLER
Mrs. Agnes (See) Miller of Richmond departed this life Saturday, December 8, 2001. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Streets. Funeral notice later.

RATTLIFF
Mrs. Bettie M. Rattliff, formerly of 4015 North Ave., departed this life in Houston, Texas, December 7, 2001. The staff of the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home is serving her family.

RICHARDS
Master Lynn Richards III of 3512 1st Ave., died December 6, 2001. Surviving are his father, Lynn Richards Jr.; mother, Cherry Burwell (Anthony); six sisters, two brothers; paternal grandmother, Gabriell Richards; maternal grandmother, Mary L. Morton; uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where the family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 Noon. Rev. Sharon S. Jones officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.

ROCK
Stuard F. Rock, age 86, of Mechanicsville, died Saturday, December 8, 2001. Mr. Rock worked at T.W. Wood & Sons, and retired from Bowman Transportation. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Louise V. Rock; a son and daughter-in-law, Stuard A. (Al) and Bette Rock; and a grandson, John S. Rock of Leesburg, Ga. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. A graveside service will be held 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2001 in the Mausoleum of Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Transportation Fund of the Shriner's Children's Hospital, c/o ACCA Temple, 1712 Bellevue Ave., Richmond, Va. 23227 or to the East Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad.

RUNDBERG
Mrs. Ella Fjellman Rundberg, 94, died December 7, 2001. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric G.S. Jr. and Norma Rundberg; a grandson, Jeffrey E. Rundberg; brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Emily Fjellman of Dubuque, Iowa. The family will receive friends Monday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Billups Funeral Home, 25th and Marshall Sts., where services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment in Deep River, Conn.

TERRELL
Ginger Hankins Terrell, 51, of Mechanicsville, widow of Douglas Allen Terrell, died Saturday, December 8, 2001. She is survived by two sons, Brian Terrell and Kevin Terrell and his wife, Ann; mother and father, Ada and Welford C. Hankins; brother, Gary Hankins; sister, Sharon Mirtschin and her husband, Gerd; step-granddaughter, Ashley; two sisters-in-law, Jean Terrell and Linda Burton; five brothers-in-law, Charles, Linwood, Stuart, Kenneth, and Jerry Terrell; and devoted caregiver, Pat Faulkon. Remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, and where services will be held 12 noon Tuesday, December 11, 2001. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

THOME
Robert Frederick Thome Jr., age 66, passed away December 9, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Connie M. Thome; daughter, Laura T. Bartnicki; sons, David Thome of Richmond, Eric Thome of Stutgart, Germany; and granddaughter, Olivia Bartnicki. Mr. Thome attended V.P.I. He retired president of Dupont Fibers Federal Credit Union and currently was employed part-time with the Better Business Bureau, Elder Fraud Program. Visitation will be Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Road. Services will be Wednesday in the Chapel of Woody Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

TRICH
Stephen Michael Trich, 91, of Richmond, Va., died December 7, 2001. He retired as Director of Design and Construction, General Services Administration, Washington, D.C. and was a WW II U.S. Navy veteran. A Professional Engineer, Mr. Trich came to Washington in 1952 as Engineer in Charge of Andrew's Airforce Base and went on to the Architect of the Capitol, as the Engineer in Charge of the construction of the House Rayburn Office Building. He was a member of the Seat Pleasant Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy, and is survived by his daughters, Mary Landrieu, Leicester, N.Y., and Suzanne Bristow, Richmond, Va.; and grandsons, Joseph Christian, Stephen and Andrew Bristow. There will be a service of remembrance on Sunday, December 9, at the home in Richmond. A private burial in Buffalo, N.Y. will follow.

ALBERT
Lorraine Helene Albert of Mechanicsville entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2000. She is survived by her loving husband and friend Rosaire (Ross) J. Albert; her daughter, Lisa Albert Guridy and her husband, Gino R. Guridy; her grandchildren, Matthew and Lauren Guridy; her son, David Louie Albert and his wife, Robin Tyler Albert, all of Mechanicsville. She is also survived by her father, Louie E. Bardy Jr. of Kenner, La.; and her mother, Alice Bardy Seguin and her husband, Roland J. Seguin of Montreal, Canada. Mrs. Albert was a caretaker to families in need of care for a loved one. Her spirit will fill our hearts with warmth and love until we are able to be with her again. Remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday evening the family will receive friends at the Church of the Redeemer, Mechanicsville, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., where a Christian Wake Service will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Thomas Hospice at MCV, P.O. Box 2510, Midlothian, Va. 23113 or to the Church of the Redeemer Building Fund, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111.

BOYD
Richard Hall Boyd, age 67, of Lanexa, died Sunday, September 17, 2000. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ann Boyd; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard S. and Leslie Boyd of Alexandria, Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and David Dubiel of Lanexa; two brothers, Donald Boyd of Oakland, N.J., Herbert Boyd of Forked River, N.J.; one sister, Barbara Soder of Virginia Beach; also surviving are six grandchildren, Sean, Shannon and Katie Dubiel, and Tina, Colin and Julia Boyd. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2000 from the Bucktrout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Galloway officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Providence Forge Vol. Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 177, Providence Forge, Va. 23140. BREITSTEIN
Tiby B. Breitstein, 83, of Richmond, died Monday, September 18, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Harold Breitstein; her daughter, Beverly C. Hurowitz and her husband, Melvin; two brothers, Max and Harry Bridge; two grandsons, Jason and Randy Hurowitz; and one great-grandson, Joseph Hurowitz. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sir Moses Montifiore Cemetery.

CHANCE
Gladys P. Chance of Sandston died Monday, September 18, 2000. Remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Funeral notice later.
