Mr. John Charles Wojcik, age 49 of Tanglewood Shores, Bracey, VA, died August 23, 2010 at his residence. He was a Landscaper. Mr. Wojcik is survived by a nephew Benjamin Sobel of Northfield, New Jersey and a cousin Veroncia Wojcik DiFabio of Middle Island, New York. Services will be private. Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory, South Hill, VA. is in charge of arrangements..

Peggy Wright Elmore
February 21, 1949 - September 5, 2010
Mrs. Peggy Wright Elmore, 61, of Richmond, died Sunday, September 5, 2010 in St. Francis Medical Center, Midlothian. She was a former Switchboard Operator for St. Francis Medical Center and the widow of James Lee Elmore. She is survived a step-daughter Wanda Johnson and husband F. Thomas of Alberta, three step-sons James E. Elmore and wife Laurie of Prince George, Michael L. Elmore and wife Robin of Midlothian and Alan W. Elmore and wife Jennifer of Duluth, Ga. , seven granddaughters, an aunt Alice Wright of LaCrosse, an uncle Frank Harris of South Hill, cousins Nancy Jean Clay of Bracey Mary Ann Cundiff and Kenneth Baird.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment in La Crosse cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 422, South Hill, Va. 23970.

Mr. Early Gooch Reams
September 14, 1927 - September 9, 2010
Mr. Early Gooch Reams, age 82, of La Crosse, died Thursday September 9, 2010 in the W. S. Hundley Annex. Mr. Reams was a tobacco inspector for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a World War ll Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruth Woodruff Reams of La Crosse; one daughter, Pam R. Young of Chester; one son, Gary L. Reams and his wife Elaine of La Crosse; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Young of Chester; one grandson, Brandon B. Reams of La Crosse; three sisters: Katherine King of La Crosse, Hilda R. Ripperger of Raleigh, NC and Linda Wells of Colonial Heights and one brother, Jack Reams of Warsaw, Virginia. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 11th at 11:00 A.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment to follow in La Crosse Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the La Crosse United Methodist Church.

Mr. Richard Jackson Turner
February 3, 1941 - March 26, 2003
Richard Jackson Turner, age 62 of South Hill, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at his residence. He was the manager of the Cooperative Supply in South Hill for 15 years, served on the South Hill Volunteer Fire Department for many years and was a Sunday School Superintendent at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
He was the son of the late Reuben and Alice Turner and is survived by his wife of 40 years, Doris Clary Turner; two daughters, Melissa T. Wells of Baltimore, MD and Amanda F. Turner of Richmond; a grandson, Jeremy Wells and a sister, Ann T. Morris of South Hill.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with interment in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the South Hill Volunteer Fire Dept., 114 N. Brunswick Avenue, South Hill, VA 23970 or Community Hospice, P.O. Box 90, South Hill.

Mr. William Steve Thomason
March 21, 1957 - March 27, 2003
Mr. William Steve Thomason, age 46, of La Crosse, died on March 27, 2003. He was a water department supervisor for the town of South Hill and was a member of the South Hill Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years.
Steve is survived by his wife, Nancy V. Thomason , a daughter, Stephanie Thomason of La Crosse; a son Brad Thomason of La Crosse; his father W.A. “Bill” Thomason and stepmother Betty of South Hill; his sister, Joy Crowder of South Hill and one brother Ricky Thomason of Blackridge.
Funeral services will conducted Sunday at 2:00 P. M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with interment in Crestview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the La Crosse Baptist Church Video Fund.

Mr. David Bruce Solomon
Nov. 28, 1948 - April 13, 2003
Mr. David Bruce Solomon, 54, of South Hill, died Sunday , April 13, 2003 at his residence. He was a construction superintendent for J. A. Barker Construction of South Hill. David is survived by his wife Pat N. Solomon, two sons, David Bruce Solomon, Jr. of Chase City and Tony Dell Solomon of South Hill, four sisters; Linda Crafton of Radford, Peggy Barker of South Hill, Ada McCamey of Mohawk, TN and Betty Bishop also of South Hill, two brothers; Henry Solomon of Burlington, NC and Douglas Solomon of Talbott, TN and six Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with interment in Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beverly Ann Harrison
February 11, 1951 - March 24, 2003
Beverly Ann Harrison, 52, of Bracey, died Monday, March 24, 2003.
She was a homemaker and is survived by her husband James D. "Jim" Harrison, two sons, James D. Harrison, Jr. and George H. Harrison, III all of Bracey, a daughter, Shelly Carter and her mother, Margaret Ralls both of Warrenton, Va., two brothers, two sisters and a grandson, John Carter.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home with interment in Oakwood Cemetery, South Hill. The family will receive friends Tuesday (tonight) from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
