Arlene C. Tanner, 86, of Ashburn died Jan. 12 at her home.
She was born Aug. 19, 1917 in Detroit, Mich. She was the widow of the late Carl Tanner.
Survivors include two sons, Owen G. McKenzie and Philip McKenzie; a daughter, Mary Gail Drost of Ashburn; her sister, Lucille McKenzie of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two daughers-in-law, Kathy McKenzie and Sharon McKenzie; a son-in-law, Armin Drost of Ashburn; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Diana L. Mangers
Diana L. Mangers died Jan. 23 at her home in Sterling.
She was born Jan. 30, 1954 in Virginia to Charles L. Mangers of Pinehurst, N.C. and the late Bernadette Terrien Mangers. She was an employee of AT&T for 12 years and was a contractor for IBM.
Survivors include her partner, Lori Miars of Sterling; a son, Joshua R. Sutherland of Dallas; two sisters, Janet
Smith of Florida and Nora Klein of Leesburg; and one brother, Michael Mangers of Pennsylvania.

John Walter Smith
John Walter Smith, 80, of Sterling and formerly of Woodford, Va. died Jan. 23 at Reston Hospital.
He was born Jan. 25, 1923 in Wolftrap, Va. to the late Charlie David and Sallie French Smith. He was a longtime member of the Bowling
Green Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Aurora Smith; his chldren, Diana Greer of Richmond, Raymond

Jo Stuebing of Ashburn died Jan. 22 at Loudoun Hospital Center.
She as born Dec. 22, 1923 in Terrell, Texas to the late Alvin and Cora Warren Golightly.
Survivors include her husbgand, Ed Stuebing of Ashburn; her children, Ron Stuebing and wife Diane of Sterling, and Jane Stuebing of Glens Falls, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Barbara L. Baker
Barbara L. Baker of Sterling, a teacher at Sterling Middle School, died Feb. 1 at Inova-Fairfax Hospital.
She was born Aug. 17, 1938 in Coeburn, Va. to the late Steve and Mary Yakavowski Domby.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby R. Baker Sr. of Sterling; sons Bobby R. Baker Jr. of Ashburn and Michael Scott Baker of Sterling; three brothers, Steve Domby, Robert Domby and Jerry Domby Sr.; and five grandchildren.

Alfred W. Kanney Sr.
Alfred W. Kanney Sr, 67,. of Sterling, died Jan. 31.
He was retired from Cleveland Construction Company in Sterling. He served in the Korean War and in Germany with the US Army. He was the son of the late Grover C. and Ida N. Kanney.
Survivors include his companion, Judy; his children, Kathy, Patty and Freddy; three grandchildren, Alyson, Stephany and Stephen; his great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Eddie, Madalyn and Bryndan; a brother, Jim; sisters Doris and Barbara Ann; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. March 17, at Arlington National Cemetery.

Ronnie E. Powell, 55, died Feb. 2 at his home in Leesburg.
He was born Aug. 25, 1948 in Arlington, and was a 1967 graduate of Fairfax High School. He was an employee of Stohlman Volkswagen of Tysons Corner for 32 years.

Collin Thomas Bacigalupi
Collin Thomas Bacigalupi, the infant child of Thomas William and Leslie Hope McCampbell Bacigalupi of Sterling, died at Reston Hospital.
Other survivors include his brothers and sisters, Jonathan, Kayla, Laurie and Thomas Jr. Bacigalupi; grandparents John and Joyce Bacigalupi of Rivervale, N.J., Michael and Susan McCampbell of Naples, Fl., and Barbara Cook of Springfield, Va.; and great-grandmother Jen McCampbell of Knoxville, Tenn.

Debbie E. Godfrey, 45, of Sterling died Feb. 15 at her home.
She was born Jan. 14, 1959 in Virginia to the late Leland F. and Lorraine Virginia Lloyd Byrne.
Survivors include her husband, William M. Godfrey Jr.; one daughter, Lisa Godfrey of Herndon; a sister, Patricia LuCore of Berryville; and one niece, Kimberly A. Thrush.

Mary Virginia Martin, 79, of Sterling died March 1 at Prince William Hospital. She was born Sept. 26, 1924 in Fairfax to the late Milton J. and Virgie Scott Huntt. She was the widow of the late James Reed Martin.
Survivors include her children, Roy Allen Martin of Sterling and Joyce Ann (Joy) Barnett and husband Wayne Allen Barnett of Sterling; a sister, Ellen Faulk of Manassas; one granddaughter, Cathy Michelle Demedici and her husband Anthony Sean Demedici; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

JoAnn Simmons
JoAnn Simmons, 61, died Feb. 29 at her home in Sterling. She was born May 11, 1943 in Kanamha County, W.Va. to the late Joe Ernest and Corda Marie Angel Russell.
Survivors include her husband, George A. Simmons; one child, Marlain M. Simmons of Sterling; two sisters, Loreita Pecovish and Liston Pennington, both of Florida; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Shane A. Simmons and a sister, Marlin Evans.
