Alice Mary Bowman 60
Alice Mary Bowman, 60, of Sealston died Monday, July 24, 2000, at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond .
Born in Elkins City, Md., she was employed as a maid at Potomac Pointe.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence H, Bowman; a daughter, Betty Ann Junkins of Colonial Beach; a son, Clarence H. Bowman Jr. of Lexington, N.C.; five sisters, Cora Minor of Indiana, Rosie Samuels of Colonial Beach, Dorothy Rachels of Illinois,and Frances Whaling and Virgie Whaling, both of King George; four brothers, Henry Sullivan of Oklahoma, Calvin Sullivan of Maryland, Jerry Sullivan of Indiana and William Sullivan of West Virginia; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, handled the arrangements.

Buddy Balderson 72
A funeral for Leonard Howard "Buddy" Balderson, 73, of Montross, was held Thursday, July 27, at Welch Funeral Home, Montross. The Rev. Joan Daniels officiated and burial was at Ephesus Christian Church in Foneswood.
Mr. Balderson died at his home Tuesday, July 25, 2000.
He had retired as a self-employed carpenter, was a member of Ephesus Christian Church and was a Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors unclude his wife, Myrtle Balderson; a daughter, Mary Frances Butler of Forrestville, Md.; two sisters, Margaret Chatham of Montross and Katherine Winfield of Reedville; and a brother, Coyal Balderson Jr. of Spotsyvania County.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contribtuions to Ephesus Christian Church, c/o Minnie Gine Reamy, Box 1027, Montross, Va. 22520.

David Arbogast 58
Davis Wesley Arbogast, 58, of King George County died Monday, July 31, 2000, at Mary Washington Hospital after a long illness.
Born in West Virginia, Mr. Arbogast worked as a tire technician at Servicetown.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan L. Bradley and Kathy A Arbogast, both of King George; two sons, Raymond M. Arbogast of King George and David W. Arbogast Jr. of Charleston, W.Va.; two sisters, Joann Currence and Maxine Cromer, both of West Virginia; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
A funeral was held Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, in West Virginia.
Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, handled the arrangements.

Debra Dean Croisetiere 47 years
Debra Dean Croisetiere, 47, of King George died of a brain aneurysm Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Bellville, Ill., Mrs. Croisyiere was a medical receptionist for a private medical practice. She was a 1971 graduate of Bluefield High School and attended Concord College, both in West Virginia. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Leo R. Croisetiere; a daughter, Lori McDermott of New York City; two sons, Leo R. Croisetiere III and Kenneth S. Croisetiere, both of King George; her father, Kenneth Dick of Bluefield, W.Va.; three sisters, Raejean Harman of Tazewell, Valerie Hutchinson of Princeton, W.Va., and Cindy Powell of Bluefield; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Friday, July 21, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. The Rev. Bill Bates officiated and burial was in Historyland Memorial Park in King George.

Donald Foster 64
Donald Clifton Foster, 64, of Colonial Beach died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at his home.
A native of Colonial Beach, Mr. Foster had retired as supervisor of the Colonial Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant after 38 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Susie M. Foster; two daughters, Linda Hayden and Lisa M. Foster, both of Colonial Beach; two sons, Donald C. Foster of Alexandria and Clifton D. Foster of Colonial Beach; a sister, Ola F. Hogge and a brother, Herbert Foster, both of Colonial Beach; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Tuesday, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home in Colonial Beach, and burial was at St. Peter's Cemetery at Oak Grove. The Rev. Scottie Jackson officiated.

Edith Doughty Morrison 91
A memorial service for Edith Doughty Morrison, 91, of King George County was be held at the Dahlgren Base Chapel. Chaplain Barbara Marshall officiated.
Mrs. Morrison died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Her survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, George S. and Audrey Morrison of KIng George, with whom she made her home; a grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was the widow of George S. Morrison Jr.

Edith Frazer Lee 85
Edith Frazer Lee, 85, of Troy N.Y., died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at Heritage House Nursing Center in Troy. She was the widow of George Lee, formerly of King George County.
Formerly of Arlington, Mrs. Lee was a member of Memorial Baptist Church there for over 50 years. She worked as a clerk with the United States Department of Labor during World War II and then as a dental assistant in the Washington area.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Lee Warden of Troy; and one grandson.
A funeral was held Thursday, July 27, at Shiloh Baptist Church in King George. The Rev. Bill Bragdon officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Memorial Baptist Church Foundation, 3455 N. Glebe Rosd, Arlington, Va. 22207; or to a favorite charity.

Elizabeth J. Sydnor 83 years
Elizabeth J. Sydnor, 83, of Montross died Friday, June 30, at Riverside Tappahannock Hospital.
Born in Westmoreland County, Mrs. Sydnor was a member of Nomini Baptist Church at Templemans. She was the widow of John Addison Sydnor.
Survivors include two daughters, Elsie S. Nash and Betty S. Foley, both of Montross; a son William A. "Billy" Sydnor of Montross; two sisters, Hazel Ingram of Montross and Iva Howell of Oldhams; a brother, Jesse R. Jones of Montross; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held Sunday, July 2 at Nomini Baptist Church, with the Rev. Malcomb Hutton officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Montross Volunteer Rescue Squad, Box 1174, Montross, Va, 22520, or to the Westmoreland county Rescue Squad, Box 37, Mount Holly, Va., 22524.

Francis M. Bailey 46
A funeral for Francis Maddox Bailey Jr., 46, of Lampkins Farm in Kinsale, a prominent Montross banker, was held Thursday, July 13, 2000, at the Bailey residence. The Rev. John F. Wall and the Rev. Luther D. Kimrey officiated. Burial is in the Bailey family cemetery at The Great House in Kinsale.
Mr. Bailey, affectionately known as Frankie, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, at Lampkins Farm as a result of a homicide.
Born in Richmond, he was second vice president at People's Community Bank of Montross. He was a member of Cople Parish, where he served on the vestry, finance committee and was assistant treasurer.
Mr. Bailey was a charter member of the Kinsale Foundation and was a member of the Northern Neck Realty Association. He was a former member of The Sons of the American Revolution, the Northern Neck Historical Society and Westmoreland County Museum and Library board.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Covington Bailey of Kinsale; a sister, Elizabeth Covington Bailey Headley of Kinsale; a brother, Robert Murphy Bailey IV of Kinsale; a niece; and three nephews.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Francis Maddox Bailey Jr. Memorial Cemetery Fence Fund, Box 61 Kinsale, Va. 22488; or to the Kinsale Museum, Kinsale, Va. 22488.

Frank Petitt 78 years
Frank Petitt
Franklin "Frank" Petitt, 78, of Colonial Beach died at his home Tuesday, July 11, 2000.
Born in Franconia, Mr. Petitt was a former resident of Alexandria.
He had retired as an electrician for the federal government and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10574 in Colonial Beach. He was a World War II Army veteran and was the widow of June Estelle Petitt.
Survivors include four daughters, Sue Short and Terry Morgenweck, both of Montross, Tina Pursley of Colonial Beach and Jodi Petitt of Fredericksburg; a son, Franklin R. Petitt of Bowling Green; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
No funeral is planned. The body was cremated.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad, 225 Dennison St., Colonial Beach, Va. 22443.

Gary Boyle, IV 50 years
Garrison J. "Gary" Boyle, IV, 50, of King George, died of cancer July 1, at his home.
A native of Osaka, Japan, Mr. Boyle was the owner and president of Boyle Communications, of King George.
He was a member of Potomac Baptist Church, King George, the King George Chamber of Commerce, the Train Club of Fredericksburg and the Antique Car Club of Fredericksburg.
Survivors include his wife, Judith G. Boyle, two sons, Michael L. Boyle of the home and Garrison B. Boyle, of King George; his parents, Garrison J. Boyle, III and Julia Boyle of Bowling Green; and a sister, Catherine B. Hoover of Bowling Green.
A funeral was held July 3 at Potomac Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Newton officating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Mary Washington Hospice, 2217 Princess Anne St., Suite 002-1, Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.
