Nadine Allison Ludwig, 91, of Colonial Beach died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Middleburg, Mrs. Ludwig was a member of Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Del., and attended Colonial Beach Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Francis Earl Ludwig.
Survivors include four daughters, Jo Justis of Colonial Beach, with whom Mrs. Ludwig made her home, Frankie Reynolds of Perryville, Ark., Joan A. Stadelman-Walker of Wilmington and Connie Taylor of Parksley; three sons, John F. Ludwig of Wilmington, Frank B. Ludwig of Lexington Park, Md., and Rege Ludwig of Palm Desert, Calif.; a sister, Novilla Barnes of Marina Valley, Calif.; a brother, John Allison of Long Beach, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Glenda P. Carey, 51, of Montross died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at Bon Secours Regional Memorial Medical Center in Mechanicsville, from complications of multiple sclerosis.
Born in Westmoreland County, Mrs. Carey had retired as a nurse and was a member of Potomac Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Elwood Carey; a daughter, Kristy C. Peyton of Montross; a son, Kevin L. Carey of Jacksonville, Fla.; her mother, Mary J. Lane of Montross; a sister, Iris A. Lane of Montross; and two grandchildren.
A funeral was held Saturday, June 15, at Potomac Baptist Church in Hague. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Rev. Raymond C. Bell officiated.

Louise M. Beverly, 81, of Colonial Beach died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in King George County.
She had retired as a private housekeeper and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, where she also was a member of the missionary society.
Survivors include three adopted daughters, Rosemary Beverly of King George and Deborah Cooper and Shantel Beverly, both of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Pauline Newman of Colonial Beach and Gracie Beverly of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Sam Beverly and Ed Beverly, both of Colonial Beach; and two grandchildren.
A funeral was held today at Good Hope Baptist Church in King George. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Rev. Robert

Mary W. Suttle, 83, of Colonial Beach died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Southwest Virginia, Mrs. Suttle had retired as owner and operator of Mary's Beauty Shop in Colonial Beach. She was a graduate of Kilmarnock High School and a member of White Marsh United Methodist Church in Lancaster County.
Survivors include her husband, John E. Suttle; and two sisters, Delma Rose of Weems and Thelma Rowe of White Stone.

Born in Washington, D.C., Mrs.
Smith was a member of the Women of the Moose lodge in Colonial Beach. She was the widow of William C. Smith.
Survivors include two daughters, Zelda Geergen of Sterling and Terri Hotaling of Herndon; a son, Bobby
Smith of Round Hill; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Lucy Rae Schneider, 49, of Farnham in Richmond County, a native of Lerty in Westmoreland County, died Friday, June 7, 2002, at Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Schneider was a member of Farnham Baptist Church and had retired from Mattatuck Manufacturing Co. She was the widow of Franklin Wayne Schneider.
Survivors include two sons, David Schneider of Farnham and Keith Schneider of Tappahannock; a brother, William Cooke of Callao; three sisters, Lorraine Squires of Tidwells, Betty Conklin of Mount Holly and Rose Withers of Warsaw; three grandchildren; and her companion, William Fairfax.

Mary Theresa Hiller, 70, of Spotsylvania County died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at Mary Washington Hospital. She was the mother of Christopher J. Bishop of King George County.
Mrs. Hiller was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Spotsylvania.
In addition to her son of King George, Mrs. Hiller is survived by her husband, Adelbert J. Hiller; two other sons, James F. Bishop and Robert T. Bishop, both of Fredericksburg; two stepdaughters, Barbra Ann Hiller of Asheville, N.C., and Loretta Marie Hiller of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, June 8, at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Burial was in Laurel Hill Memorial Park in Spotsylvania. The Rev. David Meng officiated.

Sanford Leroy "Roy" Heflin, 98, of Colonial Beach died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Mary Washington Health Center in Colonial Beach.
A Stafford County native, Mr. Heflin had retired as a driver for Richmond Greyhound Bus Lines. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church in Stafford and was an avid horse-racing fan. He was the widower of Helen P. Heflin.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary H. Sullivan of Stafford; a son, Tom Heflin of Colonial Beach; a sister, Florence Sullivan of Stafford; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Friday, June 7, in Berea Community Cemetery in Stafford. The Rev. Kenneth Brooks officiated.

Oliver Lee Dickerson, 79, of Colonial Beach died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at his residence.
Born in King George County, Mr. Dickerson was a self-employed auto mechanic most of his life. He later worked at Cope Ford in Woodbridge and did general building contracting in the Colonial Beach area.
He was an Army combat veteran, having served in Germany during World War II, and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Mary T. Dickerson; two daughters, Debbie King and Theresa Mullen, both of Spotsylvania County; a son, Gary Lee Dickerson of Pasadena, Md.; a stepdaughter, Patricia Beavern of Chaptico, Md.; a stepson, Joe Bowles of Leonardtown, Md.; a brother, Amos N. Dickerson Jr. of Colonial Beach; a half-sister, Virginia Ferrell of Silver Spring, Md.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
