David W. Fenwick 49 years
David W. Fenwick, 49, of Colonial Beach died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Mary Washington Hospital. Born in Fredericksburg, he was employed by the Joint Warfare Analysis Center at Dahlgren. He was a King George High School graduate and attended Germanna Community College. He was a hunter, golfer and radio-control- car enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Harvey Fenwick; his mother, Louise Fenwick of Dahlgren; a sister, Helen Cook of Chesapeake; a brother, Bill Fenwick of Rustburg; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral was held on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George, with the Rev. Guy D. Mattox officiating. Burial was in Historyland Memorial Park, King George.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Virginia, 2601 Willard Road, Suite 103, Richmond, Va. 23294.

Lois O. Duckwall 93 years
Lois O. Duckwall of King George died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at the home of her loving caregiver, Aurelia Marshall.
Lois Claire Odwell was born to George B. and Mabel E. Odwell in Downsville, N.Y., on June 6, 1913. She graduated as valedictorian from Downville Central School with the class of 1931. She then attended Albany State Teachers College. While a student at Albany State, she married Lewis L. Duckwall on Nov. 24, 1934. Graduating summa cum laude in 1935, she began teaching English in Johnstown, N.Y., in 1935. n 1947, she and her family moved to Fredericksburg, where she and her husband opened a small book store in their home, The Book Nook.
Lois later became a proofreader at The Free Lance-Star and eventually moved on to become editor of The Laboratory Log, the newspaper for the Naval Weapons Laboratory at Dahlgren. In the early 1980s, she and Lewis moved from Fredericksburg to their home, Briarpatch Farm, in King George County.
Lewis Duckwall died Jan. 18, 1990. Lois was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and one brother. Lois is survived by three children, Lawrence of Glen Mills, Pa., Cammie Dorey of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Hugh of Randolph, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous loving and caring friends.
Lois donated her body to science. Interment will be held later in Paige Cemetery, Downsville, at the convenience of the family.

Lionel N. Rodrigues 73 years
A memorial service for Lionel N. Rodrigues, 73, of King George County, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Mr. Rodriques died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003.

Terry Daly 59 years
Terry Daly, 59, of Colonial Beach died Saturday, December 6, 2003 at MCV Hospital in Richmond, after a battle with cancer. Survivors include, his loving wife, Babs, 2 sisters, Patsy Wise of Alexandria, Va. and Kitty Bryant and husband, Charles, of Temple Hills, Md. 2 stepdaughters, Tina Staples and Stephanie Staples, both of Manasas. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Mary Washington Hospital Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Ave., Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.

Dorothy O. Crisp not reported
Dorothy O. Crisp of Colonial Beach, formerly of Camp Springs, Md., died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003.
Born in Washington, D.C., she retired as a civil service employee in Suitland, Md., and then became secretary for Temple Hills Baptist Church in Temple Hills, Md.
Survivors include her husband, James H. Crisp; three daughters, Dorothy Lou Pospisil of Ventura, Calif., Janis Lee Coates of Colonial Beach and Joyce Ann Crisp of Silver Spring, Md.; one sister, Viola Frances Porter of Fredericksburg; one brother, Ralph Brensinger of Colonial beach; and two grandchildren, Mollie Marie Crisp of Colonial Beach and Dorrie Lee Pospisil of Ventura.
She was preceded in death by one son, James H. Crisp Jr.
The family will receive visitors from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, Colonial Beach. A funeral will be held on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. at Colonial Beach Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Historyland Memorial Park in King George.
Expressions of sympathy may be sent to Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Ave., Suite 210, Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.

Fannie C. Boomer 90 years
Fannie C. Boomer, 90, of Fairfax, formerly of Oak Grove, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in Lancaster, Pa., of natural causes.
She was the wife of the late Michael C. Boomer Sr., who died in 1992.
Born in Hyde County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin S. and Annie E. McGowan Cahoon.
She had been a homemaker and had worked as a hairdresser in the 1930s in North Carolina.
She was a former member of Colonial Beach United Methodist Church in Oak Grove and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Oak Grove. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and spending time with her family. She was a member of Ebb Tide Beach Homeowners Association.
Survivors include two sons, Michael C. Boomer Jr. of Fairfax and David B. Boomer and his wife, Linda B. Boomer of Lancaster; a daughter-in-law, Elaine P. Boomer of Vienna; five granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys C. Cahoon.
A memorial service was held at on. Friday at Vienna Baptist Church, 541 Marshall Road, Southwest Vienna, Va. 22180.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Virginia Community Hospice, 7777 Leesburg Ave., Suite 101, North Falls Church, Va. 22043.

Sheila Anne Pugh 55 years
Sheila Anne Pugh, 55, of Dale City died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at Potomac Hospital. Sheila was a teacher at Dale City Elementary School for 19 years.
Survivors include her husband, Gary A. Pugh; her daughter, Kari M. Pugh of Fredericksburg; her son, Casey A. Pugh of Woodbridge; her mother, Bertha Adams Rowe of Colonial Beach; and her sister, Sandra K. Monroe of Dale City.
Friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 4, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, where a funeral will begin at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Potomac Hospital Auxiliary, 2300 Opitz Blvd., Woodbridge, Va. 22191.

Carl E. Smith 81 years
Carl E. Smith, 81, of Colonial Beach died at Mary Washington Hospital Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, after a long illness.
Mr. Smith was a retired landscaper from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, after 30 years. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Colonial Beach for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Smith; a son, Charles E. Smith, and two grandchildren, all of Colonial Beach; and a brother, James V. Smith of Washington.
A funeral was held on Monday, Dec. 1, at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Cunningham officiating. Burial was in Historyland Memorial Park in King George.
The family received friends on Sunday at the church. Cedell Brooks Funeral Home, Port Royal, is handling arrangements.

Bessie Streets 60 years
Bessie C. Streets, 60, of Oak Grove died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at her home.
She was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church in Oak Grove.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Streets; three sons, the Rev. Stephone F. Coleman of Charlottesville, Sgt. Rodney D. Streets of Moreno, Calif., and Jerard L. Streets of Colonial Beach; one daughter, Jennifer A. Streets of District Heights, Md.; three sisters; four brothers; and six grandchildren.
A funeral was held on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Little Zion Baptist Church in Oak Grove, with the Rev. William B. Scott officiating. Interment was in Little Zion Church Cemetery.
Weldon-Fisher Funeral Home in Nomini Grove is handling the arrangements.

William L. Pearson 56 years
William Leslie Pearson, 56, of King George County died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Pearson; his son, William A. Pearson; two brothers, Mitchell Brooks and Robert Brooks, both of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Brenda Green of Dale City and Sue Jones of Fredericksburg; four stepchildren, Bo, Allen, Carrie and Heather; seven nieces and nephews; and one great-niece.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, Nov. 20, at Potomac Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Newton officiating. Burial was private. The family received friends on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Online guest book at covenantfuneralservice.com.

Bobby K. Newton 64 years
Bobby K. Newton, 64, of White Oak died Saturday, Nov. 22 2003 of thyroid cancer at his home.
Bobby was well known throughout Fredericksburg and Stafford for his excellent cooked crabs, fresh fish and garden vegetables. He was a carpenter for 37 years. He was a 1957 graduate of Stafford High School. Bobby was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda; two daughters, Teresa Fisher and her husband, John,of Aquia Harbour and Bobbi Jo Snyder and her husband, Jeff of Oakton; one son, Robert Kenneth Newton and his wife , Stephenie, of White Oak; his mother, Esther Newton of White Oak; two sisters, Shirley Seay of White Oak and Betty Jubb of Colonial Beach; one brother, Gordon Newton of King George; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. he was preceded in death by his father, Archie Newton.
A funeral was held on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Covenant Funeral Service Chapel, Fredericksburg, with the Rev. Kenneth Brooks officiating. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Silas Brown, Bradley Buchanan, Maury Conner, Bruce Dobson, Warren Embrey and Alvin Newton. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in Bobby's memory to Mary Washington Hospice, 2300 Fall Hill Ave., Suite 210, Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.

John A. Leitch 76 years
John A. Leitch, 76, of Fredericksburg died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at his son's home. John was a member of Falmouth Baptist Church and had retired as a loan officer with King George State Bank. He had attended the School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia and the School of Administration at Bucknell University. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was an avid sports fan. He had been a standout semipro baseball player and fast-pitch softball player in the Fredericksburg area. While stationed at Fort Benning, Ga., he was a member of the post all-star team as well as the all-Army team.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Leitch; a son, Mitchell Leitch and his wife, Deborah, of Ruther Glen; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Timothy and Mathew, all of Ruther Glen; his sisters, Katherine Blake of Fredericksburg and Evelyn Christy of Stafford County; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held on Friday, Nov. 21, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with the Rev. Jack A. Marcom Jr. and the Rev. John Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow in Confederate Cemetery in Spotsylvania County.
The family received friends on Thursday, Nov. 20, at the funeral home.

Donald Lee Cox III unknown
Donald Lee Cox III, infant son of Donald Lee Cox Jr. and Taryn Charlene Smith of King George County, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Denise and Donald Cox of King George; his maternal grandparents, Keli Hamby of King George and Damon Smith of Nebraska; three aunts, Jessica Wade, Corey Cox and Casey Cox, all of King George; great-grandparents; great-great-grandparents; and several cousins.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, Nov. 22, in the Kennedy family cemetery in Horsecreek, W.Va.
