Nierie Thomas
Nierie DeShae Thomas, 13, of 1470 Boggs Road, No. 708, Duluth, Ga., died Jan. 27, 2006, at home.
She was born April 23, 1992, in Gallion, Ohio, to Edward Thomas of Duluth and Mada S. Thomas of Martinsville, and had resided in Georgia for one year where she was a seventh grade student at Sweetwater Middle School.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three sisters, Tameka L. Preston, Laniqua Smith and Leah Penn, all of Martinsville; and a brother, Draizen Thomas of Duluth.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Reachout Apostolic Tabernacel on U.S. 58, Martinsville, with Bishop Lorenzo Hall officiating. Burial will be in Schoofield Primitive Baptist Church cemetery in Callands.
The family will be at the church at 1 p.m. Friday to receive friends before the service.
Hines Funeral Services in Martinsville is in charge of arrangments.

Curtis Trull
Curtis Trull, 80, of 14 Bondurant St., Martinsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
McKee-Stone Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Pamela D. White
The funeral for Pamela D. White, 49, of 1055 4 Oaks, Apt. 19, Martinsville, who died Jan. 26, 2006, at her home, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hairston Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Hairston officiating. Burial will be in Mayo Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home for a half hour before the service Friday, and other times at the home of her sister, Lorraine White, 1143 Wray St., Martinsville.
She was born in Martinsville on May 18, 1956, to Robert Gravely and Channie B. White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn Hairston and Odessa Gentry; and a brother, Douglas White.
She was employed by Quality Inn.
Surviving are a son, Orlando White of Martinsville; four sisters, Lorraine White of Martinsville, Sherdina Gravely of Morton, N.J., Victoria Daniels of Martinsville and Darcell Young of Morton, N.J.; three brothers, John R. White of New Rochelle, N.Y., Larry White of Martinsville and Anthony White of Philadelphia, Pa.
Hairston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Nancy L. Wingfield
Nancy Lawson Wingfield, 55, of 632 Murphy Road, Collinsville, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at her home.
She was born in Salisbury, N.C. on May 14, 1950, to Nancy Baity Motes of Collinsville and the late Albert Ezra Motes. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, David Dawayne Lawson.
She was owner/operator of Ultimate Salon, from which she had retired, and she wwas a member of Day Star Ministries Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving in addition to her mother are two daughters, Tina Lawson of Collinsville and Jeannine Carr of Richmond; two sisters, Teresa Gregory of Ridgeway and Melinda White of Collinsville; four brothers, Phillip Motes of Nevada, James Motes of Collinsville, John Motes of Florida and Chris Motes of Charlottesville; and two grandchildren.
The service will be private.
Arrangements are by McKee-Stone Funeral Services.

Benjamin Clark
Benjamin Clark, 86, of 1124 South Askin St., Martinsville, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
Arrangements will be announced by Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home.

Alvin Draper
Alvin Draper, 57, of 300 Blue Ridge St., Martinsville, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
Hairston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Alice S. Flynn
Alice Sergewich Flynn, 77, of Stuart, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at R.J. Reynolds Patrick Memorial Hospital in Stuart.
Howell Funeral Home at Stuart is in charge of arrangements.

W.H. Bill Harrell
The funeral for William "Bill" Harrison Harrell, 71, of 61 Fourth St., Fieldale, who died Wednsday, Feb. 1, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Norris Funeral Services with the Rev. Bud Sedwick officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Abbey.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time for the service, and other times at the home in Fieldale.
Harrell was born in Fieldale on Sept. 10, 1934, to Roy Gilbert Harrell Sr. and Bessie Wheeler Harrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ileen Plybon, Louise James and Faye Curry; and three brothers, Graham Harrell, Garland Harrell and David Harrell.
He worked as an electronic technician for the former Tultex Corp., and for many years was self-employed as a TV repairman. He was a member of the Fieldale Lions Club and Fieldale Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Draper Ferrell of the home; three sons, Timothy Harrison Harrell of Sandy Ridge, N.C., Jason Draper Harrell and Kelley Gilbert Harrell, both of Fieldale; two sisters, Inis Coleman of Collinsville and Virginia Jarrett of Bassett; a brother, Roy Gilbert Harrell Jr. of Martinsville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to: Hospice at Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 4788, Martinsville, Va. 24115, or Fieldale-Collinsville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 460, Collinsville, Va. 24078.
Norris Funeral Services and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Dana O. King
Dana Olden King, 89, of 269 Chestnut Knob Road, Martinsville, died Feb. 2, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
Hairston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Martha S. King
The funeral for Martha Spencer King, 85, of Martinsville, who died Jan. 30, 2006, was held Thursday at Fayette Street Christian Church with the Rev. Alfred Booker officiating. Burial was in Carver Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Van Drewery, Clarence Simington, John Hairston, Sherman Penn, Howard Spencer, Tony Beamer, Vallie Hylton and Mordecai Travis.
Hines Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Catherine H. McMillian
The funeral for Catherine H. McMillian, 71, of Axton, who died Jan. 30, 2006, was held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Community Funeral Services Chapel in Ridgeway with the Revs. Harry Vance and Sidney Turner officiating. A graveside service and burial were Thursday at Roselawn Burial Park.
Pallbearers were Kenny Clark, David Fallin, Junior Taylor, Donald Ashby, Randy Strickland and Charles Edward Fallin.

Evelyn B. Staples
The funeral for Evelyn Adele Brown Staples, 93, formerly of Lee Ford Camp Road, Ridgeway, who died Jan. 30, 2006, was held Thursday at Norris Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. Curtis Hall officiating. Burial was at Roselawn Burial Park.
Pallbearers were Charles Staples, Justin Taylor, Larry Brown, David Rosenberg, Wayne Brown, Roger Sellers, Randy Bailey, Eddie Gilbert and Tyler Staples.
