Willie D. Vaughn Sr., 80, of 116
Johnson Street, Bristol, Va., died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He attended the Upper Room Church of God and was a retired coal miner.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Vaughn, Bristol Tennessee, Willie D. Vaughn Jr., Bristol Virginia, and Ronnie Vaughn, Honaker; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Catherine C. Bishop
Mrs. Catherine C. Bishop, 82, of Bristol Tennessee, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, in Mariner Health Care Center, Nashville, Tenn.
She was a lifelong resident of Bristol Tennessee and was a member of Addilynn Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Paula Pierce, Durham, N.C.; one son, Douglas Bishop, Nashville; two sisters, Lucille Slaughter and Rachel Ellis, both of Bristol Tennessee; one brother, Kenneth Cross, Bristol Tennessee; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Audrey D. Coleman
FORD, Va. -- Audrey Dickenson Coleman, 86, of Coleman's Lake, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997.
She was the widow of Edward W. "Buster" Coleman.
She was retired from the Dinwiddie County Public Schools System and was a member of the Prospect Christian Church, Dinwiddie.
Survivors include one son, Ned Coleman, Studley, Va.; two granddaughters, Ashley Kenson Coleman, Richmond, and Courtney Coleman Adams, Mechanicsville, Va.; and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday in DeWitt, Va., and burial will be in Ford, Va.

Preston Y. Crosswhite
MEADOWVIEW -- Preston Yokley Crosswhite, 73, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon.
He was a lifelong resident of Washington County and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Ethylene Crosswhite; three sons, Dwight Crosswhite, Carl Crosswhite and Doyle "Nater" Crosswhite, all of Meadowview; three daughters, Diane Mink, Regina BaumGardner and Kathy Cox, all of Meadowview; and ten grandchildren.

Eva Aileen Hutchinson Eller, 62, of 2642 Broad St., Bristol, Tenn., died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Shady Valley, Tenn., and lived most of her adult life in the Bristol area.
She was secretary and bookkeeper at Typewriter Sales and Service for several years, and a graduate of Nashville Business College.
She was a member of Crandull Church of Christ, Shady Valley.
Survivors include her former husband, Roy F. Eller, Bristol Virginia; four sons, Tony F. Eller, Memphis, Mike Eller, Bristol Virginia, Jeffrey Eller and Monty Eller, both of Bristol Tennessee; her mother, Sally W. Hutchinson, Shady Valley; two sisters, Ann Cross, Bristol Tennessee, and Janice Blevins, Shady Valley; one brother, Harold Hutchinson, Lorida, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

MEADOWVIEW -- Roy Lee Gill, 59, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon.
He was a native of Washington County and a U.S. Army veteran.
He attended Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Virginia Gill Evans, Abingdon, Rosemary Gill Monk, Bristol Tennessee, and Doris Jean Andis, Gaston, S.C.; four brothers, Earnest G. Gill, Chattanooga, Mack E. Gill, Fort Valley, Va., Malcolm H. Gill, Heathsville, Va., and Ronnie D. Gill, Abingdon; and several nieces and nephews.

VANSANT -- Stella Elswick Keene, 91, of the Deskins area, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997.
She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Little Martha Old Regular Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was the widow of Stewart Keene.
Survivors include five daughters, Katie Smith, Bristol Virginia, Ruby Keene and Betty Ann Emerick, both of Vansant, Ruth Hinsey, Orlando, Fla., and Florence Kattleman, New Brenen, Ohio; two sons, Ralph C. Keene and Billy J. Keene, both of Vansant; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

MARION -- Clarence Preston "Snooks" Mitchell, 76, of Iron Street, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, at his home.
He had lived most of his life in Smyth County and retired from Virginia House Furniture. He attended the Antioch Baptist Church, Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Ardella Mitchell; two step-daughters, Theresa Stewart, Richmond, Calif., and Annette Thomas, Ellicott City, Md; three stepsons, Frederick Hughes and Theodore Hughes, both of Baltimore, Md., and Dewight McDaniels, San Francisco, Calif.; three sisters, Betty Jeffries and Julia Jones, both of Hollis, N.Y., and Catherine Gaylord, Mistah, N.J.; five step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He attended Beckner's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
He was a retired coal miner for Westmoreland Coal Company and a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Mullins Moore; two daughters, Marie Taylor, Wise, and Emogene Johnson, Toledo, Ohio; two sons, Bruce "Bill" E. Moore Jr., Big Stone Gap, and Ray Moore, Wise; two nieces; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. -- Maude Lillian Moorefield, of 501 Economy Road, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, in Life Care Center, Morristown.
She was a native of Wise County, Va., and came to Bristol over 60 years ago.
She was a member of First Christian Church.
She was the widow of Herbert E. Moorefield.
Survivors include one daughter, Gladys Moorefield, West Virginia; one son, James Moorefield, Kentucky; and two sisters, Emma Grant, Watauga, Tenn., and Virginia Leonard, Bristol Virginia.
