George A. Reynolds
George A. Reynolds, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1997, in Johnson City.
He was a native of Carter County and had lived in the Bristol area most of his life.
He was an owner//operator of the former Hayes and Reynolds Furniture Company and in the most recent years was affiliated with Reynolds Lighting.
He was a member of King Masonic Lodge, Kerbela Shrine Temple, The Elks Lodge and the Johnson City Moose Lodge.
He helped organize the South Holston Ruritan Club and the South Holston Little League and was involved in the establishment of other area Little League programs.
He was a member of the Central Holston Christian Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanenne Reynolds; one daughter, Sandra Dunn, Blountville; two sons, Larry Reynolds, Bristol, Virginia, and Gary Reynolds, Decatur, Ala.; two step-daughters, Chris Little, Murfreesboro, and Jayme Anne Zupkow, Dayton, Ohio; one stepson, Major Kimm Rowe, Vienna, Austria; two brothers, James H. "Harlow" Reynolds and Jack A. "Dick" Reynolds, both of Elizabethton; two sisters, Trula Richards, Bluff City, and Mary Ruth Dowell, Elizabethon; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Oakley-Cook Funeral Home is in charge.

Harold E. Rowe
VANSANT, Va. -- Harold E. Rowe, 68, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997 in Buchanan General Hospital.
He was a native of West Virginia. He was a disabled coal miner, having worked for Beatrice-Pocahontas Mine, and Island Creek Coal Company, Keen Mountain, Va. He was a member of Local Union No. 1374 of the United Mine Workers of America.
He was a member of Coleman's United Methodist Church and attended the Tookland Pentecostal Church for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Yates Rowe; one daughter, Mrs. James (Tamara) Burks, Rosedale, Va.; one son, Jackie Rowe, Cedar Bluff, Va.; and one daughter-in-law; two sisters, Mrs. Ural (Edna) Childress, Rosedale, and Mrs. Howard (Emma Jean) Anderson, Vansant; three brothers, John Rowe, Ralph Rowe and Kermit Rowe, all of Grundy; and four grandchildren.
Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home, Grundy, is in charge.

Anna L. Skidmore
KINGSPORT -- Anna Lee (Damon) Skidmore, 63, formerly of Big Stone Gap, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1997, in Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, Tennessee.
She was a native of Bristol, Virginia and had lived most of her life in Big Stone Gap before moving to Kingsport 20 years ago.
She was a former employee of the Appalachia Insurance Agency.
She was of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church faith.
Survivors include her husband, Scott D. Skidmore; one daughter, Beckie Marquez, Kingsport; one step-daughter, Kathy Minigh, Glenville, W.Va.; two step-sons, Phillip Skidmore, Glenville and Larry Skidmore, Ashland, Ky.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Damon, Kingsport, Kelly Bunch, Kings Mountain, N.C.; three sisters, Patsy Vanhook York, S.C., Jeanette Stegeman, Cincinnati, Ohio, Georgette Collier, Calistoga, Calif.; seven nieces and nephews.
Holding Funeral Home, Big Stone Gap, is in charge.

Ruth Wax
BIG STONE GAP -- Ruth Wax, 74, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, in Lee County Community Hospital.
Survivors include one brother, Henry Wax, Big Stone Gap; and several cousins.
Holding Funeral Home is in charge.

William H. West
RICHLANDS -- William Harvey "Bill" West, 88, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1997, in a Lebanon hospital.
He was a native of Christiansburg, Va., and was a retired coal miner formally employed with Carter Coal Company.
He was a lifelong resident of the Richlands area.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Wriston West; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jacqueline Fay) Vencill, Richlands, and Mrs. Eddie (Joanne) Powers, Abingdon; one son, Roy Lee West, Claypool Hill; three brothers, James West, Swords Creek, Frank West, North Carolina and Harold West, Rosedale, Va.; one sister, Ocie Bell, North Carolina; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Singleton Funeral Service, Cedar Bluff, is in charge.

Thomas R. Wyatt
SALTVILLE -- Thomas Randolph Wyatt, 61, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997, at his home.
He was employed by the Rockville Crushed Stone Corporation for 26 years.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Elizabeth Wyatt; two sons, David Wyatt, Germantown, Md., and Thomas Wyatt, Saltville; three daughters, Mrs. Jerald (Patricia) Ward, Sharpsburg, Md., Mrs. B.J. (Linda) Bentley, Germantown, and Ms. Cindy Wyatt, Saltville; nine brothers, Robert J. Wyatt, Charlie Wyatt, Earl Wyatt and James Wyatt, all of Saltville, John Edd Wyatt, Glade Spring, Curtis Wyatt, of Tennessee, Truman Wyatt, Marion, Michael Wyatt, of Pennsylvania and Rhudy Lee Wyatt, Ceres, Va.; three sisters, Elizabeth Catron, Greeneville, Donna Waddle, Ceres, and Mary Ruth Wyatt, Saltville; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Carmey S. Anderson
Coeburn -- Carmey S. Anderson, 78, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 1997, at his home.
He was a native of Wise County and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was owner//operator of Lonesome Pine Exterminating Company for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Anderson; one daughter, Debra Stacy, Coeburn; four sons, Ronald Anderson and Donald Anderson, both of Coeburn, Danny Anderson, Craysville, Va., and Randy Anderson, Morristown, Tenn.; two sisters, Orphagene Stevens and Delphine Honaker, both of Clinchco; and one brother, Raymond Stanley, Clinchco; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Estes Funeral Home is in charge.

Carolyn S. Bible
MORRISTOWN -- Carolyn Sue "Jackie" Bible, 55, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997, in U.T. Hospital, Knoxville.
She was an employee of Shelby Williams for 26 years.
Survivors include one son, David Brummitt, Morristown; and one daughter, Teresa Bible Leonard, Morristown; her mother, Pauline Blevins, Richlands; one sister, Sally Scott, Richlands; one brother, Cecil Blevins, Keen Mountain, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday in Morristown.

John J. Clinemyer
MARION -- John J. "Buster" Clinemyer died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997.
He was a native of Pennsylvania, and a member of the St. Brigids Catholic Church, Lilly, Pa.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korean War.
He was a former president of the Blair and Bedford Counties Central Labor Council.
He was employed at the Blue Ridge Job Corp Center, Marion, at the time of his death.
Survivors include four daughters, Sandra Mangold, Ebensburg, Pa., Denise Boyin and Jacqueline Myers, both of Lilly, Pa., and Michelle Casado, Clover, Pa.; three sons, John J. Clinemyer III, Gallitzin, Pa., William Clinemyer, Jasper, Pa., and James Clinemyer, Duncansville, Pa.; two sisters, Barbara Bender, Hagerstown, Md., and Charles Clinemyer, Salem, Va.; and 12 grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will be held in Pennsylvania.
Barnett's Funeral Home, Marion, is in charge.

William H. Davis
William Herman Davis, 87, of Bristol, Virginia, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997, at his home.
He was a native of Alabama and a retired employee of Berwind Corporation.
He served many years as a lay speaker in the United Methodist churches in the Bristol area and in West Virginia.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beula Aker Davis.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Alex (Nancy) Smith, Bristol, Virginia; one grandson, Stephen Smith, Bristol, Virginia; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Harris Davis, Birmingham, Ala.; one granddaughter-in-law; one brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

Bethuel L. Grant
GAINES, Pa. -- Bethuel L. Grant, 76, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 1997.
He was employed by the maintenance department of the Sullivan County School Board before moving to Pennsylvania.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Grant; two daughters, Mary Grant, Bristol, Tennessee and Rebecca Straight, Wellsboro, Pa.; one son, George K. Grant, Lexington, N.C.; two sisters, Edna Chara, Clifton, N.J. and Beth Rissel, Lancaster, Pa.; two brothers, Earl Grant, Galeton, Pa., and James Grant, Mill Hall, Pa.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
