Maria Magdalene Nunez Moze 89 years
Mrs. Maria Magdalene Nunez Mozee, 89, of King George County died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Carriage Hill Nursing Center.
She was the widow of Deacon Clifton F. Mozee.
Born in Washington, D.C., Mrs. Mozee had retired as an editorial assistant at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, with 25 years of federal service. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in King George, where she served as financial secretary, church check trustee and Sunday-school teacher. She also was a member of the Pastor's Aid Society and the Missionary Society.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy T. Mozee; a niece, Vanessa Mozee; two nephews, Vernon N. Mozee Jr. and Glenn R. Mozee, all of Washington; a dear friend, Mrs. Booker T. Johnson of King George; and many other friends.
A funeral was held on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at Antioch Baptist Church in King George, with the Rev. Dr. Larry Finch officiating. Interment was in Antioch Baptist Church cemetery.
The family received friends from 10 a.m. until noon on the day of the funeral.
Lee Funeral Home in King George handled the arrangements.

William M. Inscoe 82 years
William Maurice Inscoe, 82, of Shiloh died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Heritage Hall in King George. Born in Shiloh, he was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school secretary for many years. Mr. Inscoe retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren division, after 32 years of service and was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dora Surles Inscoe; his daughter, Debbie Inscoe Morris, and her husband, Terry, of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters, Gene Christy and Lucille Brooks, both of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren, Tabitha Morris Kontur and her husband, Kris, and William Morris; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held Saturday, Jan. 3, at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dwight Storke Jr. and the Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church building fund, 13457 Kings Highway, King George, Va. 22485.

Jacqueline Gaines 62 years
Jacqueline B. Gaines, 62, of Milford died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at her residence after a long illness.
She was the sister of Clara Byrd of King George. In additional to her sister of King George she is also survived by 3 other sisters, Velma Conley of Hustle, Cleopatra Fortune of Milford and Lorraine Ware of Hustle; and four brothers, Morrell Gaines of Hustle, Herman Gaines of Philadelphia, Trent Gaines of Ardmore, Pa., and Hugh Gaines of Alexandria.
A funeral was held Saturday, Jan. 3, at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Hustle, with the Rev. Marcus Martin officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Cedell Brooks Funeral Home, Port Royal, handled arrangements. Guest book available at brooksfuneralhome.com.

James Andrew Morales Jr. infancy
James Andrew Morales Jr., infant son of James Morales and Stephanie Kozlowski of Stafford, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Mary Washington Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Jody Kozlowski of Stafford; paternal grandparents, Juan Henrriquez and Karen Morales of Stafford; a paternal great-grandmother, Nancy Rose of Roanoke; two aunts, Dawn Rogers of King George and Juanita Henrriquez of Stafford; and two uncles, Clemens Kozlowski and Carlos Henrriquez, both of Stafford. Also surviving are several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service was conducted Wednesday, Dec. 24, in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Madelean Jett 82 years
Madelean Jett, 82, of White Oak, known by her family and friends as "Sid," departed this life Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at her home. She had retired from Morganstern Pants Co. after many years of loyal service. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in King George.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Bernice M. Newton and her husband, Minor; a brother, Price L. Jett and his wife, Bernice; her granddaughters, Lisa M. Newton and Paula R. Newton; a great-granddaughter, Tiffany R. Newton; a great-grandson, Johnathan W. Newton; a stepgreat-grandson, Ray Newton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lake Manassas Jett;, her mother, Mae Bell Jett; three sisters, Nellie E. Pitts, Genoa Raines and Hope Sullivan; and two brothers, Elwood Jett and Kermit Jett.
A graveside service was held Sunday, Dec. 28, in White Oak Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Willis A. Dempsey and Price "Billy" Jett officiating. The family received friends on Saturday, Dec. 27, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
Memorials may be made to the White Oak Volunteer Rescue Squad, 535 White Oak Road, Fredericksburg, Va. 22405; or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Trudy Clifton, 113 Tallpines Ave., Locust Grove, Va. 22508.

Dorothy G. Hughes 83 years
Dorothy G. Hughes, 83, of King George passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at her residence.
Mrs. Hughes was a member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Tampa, Fla., where she owned a restaurant with her late husband, Howard Hughes, and she was a descendant of President John Tyler.
She is survived by two sons, Max Disharoon and his wife, Dixie, of Stafford, and Vernon Disharoon and his wife, Phyllis, of King George; a sister, Alice Breneman of Vinton; an aunt, Ann Wyatt of Clinton, Md.; four granddaughters, Denise Martin and Tracey Anderson, both of Stafford, and Deanna Disharoon and Kerry Anne Disharoon, both of Virginia Beach; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 29, at Mount Ararat Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dick Harmon officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. The family received friends at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Trudy Clifton, 113 Tallpines Ave., Locust Grove, Va. 22508; or to Mount Ararat Baptist Church, 65 Toluca Road, Stafford, Va. 22556.

Flossie Hill 91 years
Flossie Hill, 91, of King George died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was the church mother and a founder of People's Union Baptist Church, and a member of the deaconess ministry.
Survivors include her husband, Preston Hill of King George; one daughter, Georgia Frazier of King George; 17 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 34 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Laura Hill of Fredericksburg.
A funeral was held at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at People's Union Baptist Church, King George, with the Rev. Harry Wallace officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Charles Edward "Ed" Dudley 63 years
Charles Edward "Ed" Dudley, 63, of Colonial Beach died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at his home.
Born in Westmoreland County, Mr. Dudley was a truck driver for Allan Hickman Transportation Inc.
He was the son of the late Stephen and Aloncita Dudley.
Survivors include two sons, Dwayne Charles West of Colonial Beach and Donell Powell of Washington; five daughters, Tabatha Hayes of Cleveland, Ohio, Aisha Giles of Washington, Deborah Lee of Philadelphia, Norma Howell of Warsaw and Tonji Hayes of Fredericksburg; two brothers, Stephen Dudley of Colonial Beach and Jerome Dudley of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Doris Rhodes of Colonial Beach and Etta Jaloh of Washington; a devoted loving friend, Stella West of Colonial Beach; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held on Dec. 27, at First Baptist Church of Colonial Beach, with the Rev. David A. Cunningham officiating. Burial was in Historyland Memorial Park, King George.
The family received friends on Friday, Dec. 26, and Saturday, Dec. 27, at the church.

Mary Lena Cobb 72 years
Mary Lena Cobb, 72, of King George County died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Md.
Mrs. Cobb worked at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, as a custodian for over 25 years.
Survivors include a son, Thomas D. Cobb Jr. of Clinton; two grandsons; her stepmother, Addie Mae Turner of Colonial Beach; six sisters, Maxine Smith and Betty Frye, both of King George, Laverne Turner, Hazel Johnson and Barbara Dejesus, all of Colonial Beach, and Jean Wilkerson of Washington; and a brother, James "Bo" Turner of King George.
A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 29, at Good Hope Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Williams Jr. officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
The family received friends on Sunday, Dec. 28, at the church.

Michael A.(Damon) True 34 years
Michael Andrew (Damon) True, age 34, was born September 24, 1969 in Walla Walla, WA, and died November 16, 2003 at his home in Spokane, WA.
He was raised in Moses Lake and was a resident of Spokane for 10 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a love for music and antiques and was the sole proprietor of True Restoration. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him and will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his daughters, Staucia True and Rachel True, both of Spokane; his parents, Janice and Wayne True of Stratford, WA; his birth father, Andrew Damon of King George, VA; his maternal grandparents, William and Dorothy Hall of College Place, WA; his brothers Benjamin True of Kennewick, WA and Vance True of Spokane; his sisters Jennifer True of Moses Lake, WA Ruth True of Austin, TX, Cheri Perrigo of Spokane, Cassandra Damon and Katrina Damon both of King George; two nephews, four nieces and many aunts, uncles,cousins and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive paternal grandparents, Pat and Clara True of Everett, WA, and natural paternal grandparents, Clay and Ruby Damon of Lady Lake, FL.
Services were held privately on Nov. 22, 2003 in College Place. Hennessey- Smith Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions from interested parites may be made to Michael's daughters' education fund by contacting his local King George family.

J. Herman Spillman 78 years
J. Herman Spillman, 78, of King George County died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in King George, Mr. Spillman had retired as an auto mechanic from Morris Chevrolet in King George. He was also a waterman.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Marks of McCormick, S.C., Betty Jean Frank of King George and Cheryl Hicks of Suffolk; a son, Charles Spillman of King George; three stepchildren, Helen Snedeker of Brazil, Ind., Sherry Epperson of King George and Wesley Jones of Colonial Beach; a sister, Myrtle Dudley of King George; two brothers, Richard Spillman of Spotsylvania and James Spillman of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a number of grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral was held on Friday, Dec. 12, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George, with the Rev. Kenneth Brooks officiating. Burial was in Historyland Memorial Park in King George. The family received friends on Thursday at the funeral home.

E. Julia Moses 65 years
Eloise Julia Moses, 65, of King George County died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at Mary Washington Hospital. A memorial service was held on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George. Interment of ashes was in Historyland Memorial Park, King George.
