ETHELYN E. (ELDRED) DOMINA

BELVIDERE -- Ethelyn Elda (Eldred) Domina, age 71 of Belvidere, passed away late Sunday afternoon, Sept. 22, 2002, at Copley Hospital in Morrisville, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Belvidere, May 3, 1931, daughter of the late Maurice and Hersa Eldred.

She was married to Earl H. Domina, Sr. on Feb. 23, 1952, in the residence of Reverend Isadora Fox in Fletcher. Ethelyn and Earl celebrated their 50 year anniversary at their home on Feb. 23, 2002. Ethelyn enjoyed her many years as a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her home and raising her children. She loved spending time working on crossword puzzles and reading books to her beloved children. Her greatest joy was spending precious hours with her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all the family and friends who had the distinct honor to know and love her.

She is survived by her husband Earl Harry Domina, Sr. of Belvidere; her son Earl Harry Domina, Jr. and his wife Serena of Belvidere; two daughters, Earline Miller and her husband Arthur of Belvidere, and Sherry Davis and her husband Mark of Florida; two brothers, Maurice Eldred of Lowell, and Emmett Eldred and his wife Leona of Waterville; three sisters, Joycelyn Adams of Belvidere, Shirley Brown of Belvidere, and Greeta Talamo of Maine; nine grandchildren, Annie (Davis) Amaya and her husband Rudy of Florida, Anthony Davis of North Carolina, Daryl and Chelsea Domina of Belvidere, Lucas, Miranda, Kassie, Arthur G. and Jacob Miller of Belvidere; a great-grandson, Isaac Amaya of Florida; an aunt, Lena Rich of Milton; a brother-in-law Ray Barry, Jr. of Essex Jct.; a sister-in-law Beverly Eldred of Belvidere; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also predeceased by a brother, Kermet Eldred; and a sister, Leoda Barry.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Hayes-Rich Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at 11 a.m., in the Mountain View Tabernacle in Belvidere with Pastor Michael Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in Belvidere Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Ethelyn's memory to the Lamoille County Home Health & Hospice, 54 Farr Ave., Morrisville, Vt. 05661 or Easter Seal Foundation, NH & Vt. Agency, 555 Auburn St., Manchester, N.H. 03103.

Arrangements are by the Hayes-Rich Funeral Home, 1176 Main St. Fairfax, Vt.

DAVID M. STEBBINS

GEORGIA -- David M. Stebbins, 42, a lifelong resident of this area, passed away at his home on Friday, Sept. 20, 2002. He was born in St. Albans, Sept. 10, 1960, the son of George O. and Thelma D. (Hulbert) Stebbins. On May 14, 1983, he married Teresa Brouillette in Enosburg.

David was a Production Technician at IBM for the past two years. Prior to that he was a Purchaser for Huttig Sash and Door in Williston for 15 years. He was a 1978 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans and graduated from Vermont Technical College in 1981. He was a member and Past Master of Haswell Lodge #39, F & A M. He enjoyed hunting, working on his home, and especially being with his family.

In addition to his wife, Teresa, David is survived by his parents, George and Thelma Stebbins of Sheldon; three children, Eric G. Stebbins, Laura and Kristine Stebbins all of Georgia; seven brothers and sisters, Kathleen Gorton and her husband, John of Fairfield, George O. Stebbins III and his wife, Debra, Gregory Stebbins and his wife, Celeste, and Timothy Stebbins and his wife, Tammy, all of Sheldon, Rebecca Tarte of Highgate, Linda Benoit and her husband, Leon of Sheldon, and Peter Stebbins of Washington, D.C. He also leaves his father and mother-in-law, Richard and Marie Brouillette of Sheldon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Ascension Catholic Church in Georgia. A luncheon will follow in the church hall directly after the church service. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in Sheldon Village Cemetery in Sheldon. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 So. Main St., St. Albans. A Masonic Service will be conducted by Haswell Lodge at the funeral home at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

ILENE G. (KEITH) LAFOUNTAIN O'BRIEN

JEFFERSONVILLE -- Ilene Grace (Keith) Lafountain O'Brien, age 82, passed away late Saturday afternoon, Sept. 21, 2002, at Copley Manor Nursing Home in Morrisville with her loving family by her side. She was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Underhill, daughter of the late Leighton and Grace (Ryan) Keith.

She married Harry Lafountain July 4, 1954, in Underhill. Harry predeceased her on May 4, 1986. She later married Clifton O'Brien, who predeceased her Jan. 23, 2001. Ilene worked for many years as a secretary with the Town Clerk's office and local bank in Jeffersonville. She had been an active member over the years with the Women's Fellowship Group of the Second Congregational Church of Jeffersonville. She was also a member of the Johnson Chapter 65 OES of Johnson, and Jeffersonville Cemetery Association. Ilene enjoyed bird watching and loved all the nature that surrounded her. She enjoyed all types of music including big band and jazz and was especially fond of the gospel music recorded by Tom Jones and Elvis Presley. Ilene also loved to dance and enjoyed watching TV sports including auto racing and basketball. Her greatest joy was spending precious moments with her devoted children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her dear family and friends who had the pleasure to know and love her.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra Slayton and her husband Charles "Chappy" of Jeffersonville; her brother Leroy Keith and his wife Patricia of Jericho; her grandson Donald Slayton and his wife Cheryle of Jeffersonville; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Evan Slayton of Jeffersonville; a special cousin Kathleen "Kay" Lamphere and husband Lynford of Underhill; three step-sons and their children, Philip J. O'Brien and his wife Cindy Cooke of Vergennes; Patrick O'Brien and Tammy of Port Henry, N.Y., Clifton P. O'Brien II and his wife Carol of Tennesee; one step-daughter and her children, Cheri Rivers and her husband Sam of Virginia; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth Keith and Robert Keith.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Hayes-Rich Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church of Jeffersonville with Reverend Peggy Tooker officiating. Interment will be in the family lot at Jeffersonville Village Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ilene's memory to the American Heart Association, Vermont Affiliate Inc., 20 Speen St., Framington, Mass. 01701, or the Second Congregational Church, c/o Andrea Parker, PO Box 188, Jeffersonville, Vt. 05464.

BARRY J. CHAMBERLAIN

MILTON -- Barry J. Chamberlain, 56, died unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, in South Hero. Barry was born in Vergennes on June 8, 1946, the son of Carl and Lila (O'Brien) Chamberlain.

Barry was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated B.J.'s Excavating in Milton for many years. Better known as B.J. to his friend, and Dad and Grandpa to those who loved him the most.

To know Barry was to be in his garage with him. Never will a harder working man be found. Barry was best known for the unconditional love he showed his family, his willingness to help anyone, and his wonderful sense of humor.

To know him was to like him -- to love him. To be taken in by his easy going personality, his giving nature and his genuine smile. The world has lost a great man. He will be deeply missed.

B.J. is survived by his children, Paula Chamberlain and friend Adam Smith of Colchester, Jamie Chamberlain and his fiancee Tammie Alessandrini of Sarasota, Fla., and Michael Morgan of Burlington; by his grandchildren, Heidi, Christopher, Michael and Shane. He is also survived by his close friend, Dianne Morrisette of Milton; by his brothers, John Chamberlain and his wife Jane of Monkton, Tommy Chamberlain and his wife Pat of Texas; his twin sister, Brenda Parker of Brandon, and his sister Virginia Green of Bristol; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Barry was predeceased by his brother, Ronny.

Funeral services were held today, Monday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. in the United Church of Milton.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to either the Vermont Lung Association, 30 Farrell St., South Burlington, Vt. 05403-9987, or to Milton Youth Hockey, P.O. Box 742, Milton, Vt. 05468.

Visiting hours were held Sunday, Sept. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton.

FLORENCE ALLARD KUEHN

WINOOSKI/BRISTOL, Conn. -- Mrs. Florence Allard Kuehn, age 87, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, in a Bristol nursing home, following an extended illness. She was born in Winooski, Feb. 1, 1915, daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Parizo) Allard. She was employed at the Winooski Woolen Mill for several years and was a saleslady in Connecticut.

She was married to Clarence Robert Kuehn in Winooski and they moved to the State of Connecticut about 40 years ago.

She is survived by her brother, Reginald Allard and his special companion, Beverly Fairbanks of St. Albans Bay; two granddaughters, Brenda Bade and Linda Gray, both of Connecticut; a sister-in-law, Hilda Allard of Ware, Mass.; a nephew, Greg and his wife Patricia Allard of St. Albans; several nieces and nephews and friends in Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra Gray.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at 11 a.m. in Lakeview Cemetery, Burlington.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Vermont Association for the Blind, 37 Elmwood Ave., Burlington, Vt. 05401, or the American Cancer Society, 13 Loomis St., Montpelier, Vt. 05602.

Interment will follow in the Kuehn family lot in Lakeview Cemetery.

RAYMOND RUSSELL "BUB" DUMONT JR.

SWANTON -- Raymond "Bub" Dumont, 30, died unexpectedly this week in Swanton. He was born in St. Albans, June 12, 1972, the son of Raymond Sr. and Doris (St. Pierre) Dumont.

Bub attended Missisquoi Valley Union High School and worked along with his father in Ray's Rebuildables and Salvage. He was formerly associated with S. D. Ireland Concrete and Phillips Metallurgical and was presently an extrication specialist with Missisquoi Valley Heavy Rescue.

He will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping and also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother Doris (St. Pierre) Dumont, and his father Raymond Dumont Sr. and his wife Sherry, all of Swanton, Bub leaves his four children, Chelsea and Shelby Dumont of Alburg and Rae Ann Mulheron and Raymond Dumont III of Swanton; maternal grandparents, Joan and Roland St. Pierre; and paternal grandfather, Frederick Dumont, all of Swanton; two sisters, Jodie Dumont and Krystie Dumont of Swanton; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Also surviving, is his hunting and fishing buddie and very best friend, Trevor LaFountain of Highgate.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Theresa Dumont in 1997.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at 2 p.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 65 Canada Street, Swanton. The pastor, Father John J. Meagher, SSE will officiate.

Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton on Sunday from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Gifts in Bub's memory may be made to the educational fund being established for his children, in care of Doris Dumont, 104 Lake Street, Swanton, Vt. 05488.

DONNA LEE (LAWRENCE) STRIEGEL

ST. ALBANS/MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. -- Donna Lee (Lawrence) Striegel, of St. Albans, Vt. - Machesney Park, Ill., passed peacefully at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington, on Sept. 18, 2002, after a long battle with Leukemia. Her last wish was to travel to Vermont to be with special school friends at a picnic for their second eighth grade Holy Angels get together for the class of 1960. She graduated from B.F.A. Class of 1964 in St. Albans. She also graduated from the Vermont College of Cosmotology and moved to Rockford, Ill., and later married Ralph D. Striegel.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph; and three children, Loren C. Striegel, Ross L. Striegel, Dora L. Striegel and Dan Kersey. She also leaves a much loved grandson, Garrett Kersey; one sister, Nancy (Lawrence) Paquette. She leaves all the friends of her eighth grade class, as well as special friends Linda (Reynolds) Lockington of Wisconsin, Arliss Mills, Kathy McKnight of Illinois; all the nurses and Doctors at the University of Madison Wisconsin; and special nieces and nephews, Angela, Kyra and James, Uncle Paul and Aunt Emily Cross of St. Albans, Aunt Anna M. Cross of Swanton, cousin Pat Parah.

She was predeceased by her mother, Geraldine A. Cross and father, Gerald Lawrence, a brother Lewis Lawrence.

She made her home in Illinois for 35 years and raising her children before going to work at Wesley Willow Health Care Center in Rockford, Ill., a job that she truly loved.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, from the Kidder Memorial Home. Family will be receiving friends from 7 p.m. until the hour of the service at the Kidder Memorial Home 89 Grand Ave, Swanton, Vt. Interment will be at a later date in Illinois.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11 Loomis St. Montpelier, Vt. 05602-3021.

LUCILLE M. BROWN

RICHFORD -- Lucille M. Brown, age 88, died Thursday morning, Sept. 19, 2002, at the Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton. She was born June 8, 1914, in Enosburg Falls, the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Lunderville) Cook.

She was a life-long resident of Richford and devoted her life to her husband and children. She loved to play bingo and gamble.

She is survived by her three children, Carolyn Reilly of Barre, Jaska Sheperd and Vicki Clark, all of Richford; her son-in-law, Jerry Clark of Richford; her brother and his wife, Keith and Lucy Marston of South Burlington; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Brown; and two brothers, Sydney Cooke and Roland Marston.

A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at the Hillside Cemetery in Richford. There will be no calling hours.

For those who wish, contributions in her memory may be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, Vt. 05478.

Spears Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
