LAWRENCE "LARRY" BRENT LABOMBARD

ISLE LA MOTTE -- Lawrence B. LaBombard, 50, a lifelong resident of this community, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 27, 2003, at his home on Church Road in Isle LaMotte of natural causes.

Larry was born in Pawtucket, RI. on May 14, 1953, the son of Llewellyn and the late Barbara (Jarvis) LaBombard. He attended Isle La Motte Elementary Schools and graduated from Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans.

Larry's entire work career dealt with food service and was well known as a chef through out the state of Vermont and beyond. He was recently employed as a chef at St. Anne's Shrine in Isle La Motte.

Larry leaves all that he knew, whether it be family or friends, with a much more in-depth appreciation of the true pleasures and beauty of what Mother Nature has to offer. It may have been the proud stance of a two-year-old Morgan, the craftsmanship in a mission style table, a guided picture frame or the deep blue of a Siberian Irish, Larry would never go past one of the miracles of nature without declaring its beauty or perfection. Larry had a great love and aspiration for the out of doors and received a great amount of joy being home on the island. All those who knew him can attest to the fact that, if the Morgan stance was good Larry could make it great, the gilding shines brighter and the Irish bluer or the Jersey cream richer, for those were the objects that Larry loved and related too.

Larry was predeceased by mother, Barbara (Jarvis) LaBombard, on Sept. 9, 2002, and a sister, Carol Stefaniak

In addition to his father, Llewellyn, he leaves three sisters, Brenda Thibault and her friend Maurice Lamothe, Susan Fournier and her husband Earl and Kathy Fournier and her husband Roy all of Swanton. Boucher, SSE will officiate. Interment will follow in the LaBombard family lot in St. Joseph Cemetery in Isle La Motte.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until the hour of the funeral on Thursday, July 3, 2003.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in Larry's memory may be made to Isle La Motte Public Library Association, Isle La Motte, Vt. 05463.
