REGINA L. REYNOLDS
SWANTON l Mrs. Regina Langevin Reynolds, age 88, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, in the Haven Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Swanton, Feb. 1, 1918, daughter of the late Wilfred and Alma (Lemnah) Langevin.

She was employed in the Swanton Village offices as an assistant clerk. Prior to her position in Swanton offices, Regina was a saleslady for W.T. Grant & Co. retail store. She was a lifelong communicant of the Church of the Nativity. Regina was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, Hi-Swans Senior Citizens and the Franklin County Senior Citizens.

Regina married Donald E. Reynolds, Feb. 24, 1941. Donald died Aug. 11, 1990. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, who enjoyed being with her family and enjoyed card games.

Her survivors include her seven children and their spouses: Ronald Reynolds of Swanton, Cheryl and Bruce Spaulding of Swanton, Donna and David Jones of Burlington, Aleta and Ronald Nichols of Highgate Center, Candace and Richard Brady of Swanton, Wendy and David Mitchell of St. Albans, Deborah and William Doig of St. Albans; 16 grandchildren and their spouses: Leigh Roberts, Darcy and Mike LeClair, Jay and Jacy Lunna, Loren and Fran Spaulding, Stacy and Brian Bruyns, Jason Spaulding, Eric Jones, Mike and Jill Jones, Kim and Jamie Messier, Kevin and Marybeth Nichols, Allen and Tammy Brady, Cari and Brian Howrigan, Trevor and Christie Mitchell, Corey Mitchell, Ian Doig, Heather Doig and fiancÚ Grant Henderson; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her brothers, Donald Langevin of North Port, Fla., Paul and his wife, Betty Langevin of Swanton; sister-in-law, Georgette Langevin of Swanton; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Regina was predeceased by her son, Loren Reynolds on Jan. 1, 1942; her daughter-in-law, Maxine Reynolds, July 26, 2000; brothers and sisters: Lucien Langevin, Norman Langevin, Delos Langevin, Joseph Langevin, Laura Bovat, Jeannette Jarvis, Bernadette Ouimet and Theresa Steinman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in The Church of the Nativity. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., St. Albans from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in the Reynolds family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Raise the Roof Campaign' of the Church of the Nativity, 65 Canada St., Swanton, Vt. 05488; or the Missisquoi Valley Rescue, P.O. WAYNE R. ALLARD, SR.
Wayne R. Allard Sr., 63 of Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2006. He was the son of the late Richard F. Allard and Roselma Menard Allard.

Wayne was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield. He was born in Hartford on Dec. 19, 1942, and graduated from Prince Technical School in Hartford. He was a sheet metal worker for 15 years associated with local 40. Subsequently he worked for Konover Residential Corp. in West Hartford for 23 years.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Eileen (McGann) Allard; and his four children: Kimberly Allard of Willimantic, Wayne R. Allard Jr. of East Hartland, Michele and son-in-law, John Rawson of Andover and Patrick Allard of Bloomfield. Other survivors include two brothers and two sisters and their spouses: Charles A. and Joann Allard of Newington, R. Gregory Allard of Port Orange, Fla., Janet A. and Jon S. Cook of West Barnstable, Mass., and Ellen N. and David M. Fales of Bellevue, Neb. He was predeceased by his brother, John F. Allard. Wayne also leaves four grandchildren: Tina Allard, Alisa Allard, Aylissa Allard, and John Rawson; and several nephews and a niece.

A special thank you to Ms. Hazel for taking such wonderful care of Wayne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 30, at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield. Friends may call Wednesday, March 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday just prior to the Mass. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park Rocky Hill.

NANCY JEAN CONE BROWN
DADE CITY, Fla. / ST. ALBANS - Nancy Jean Cone Brown, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Hernando-Pasco Regional Hospice Center following a brief illness. She was born in Randolph, Vt. on Oct. 21, 1937, to Bernard and Geneva (Lemery) Cone, as the oldest of three children.

Nancy attended schools in Randolph and Hartland, Vt. and Claremont, N.H., graduating from Stevens High in 1955 and Gifford Memorial Hospital Nursing Program in 1958.

During her career, she was employed in both the Operating and Emergency Rooms at South County Hospital in Wakefield, R.I.; in Vermont on the Medical-Surgical Floors at the Mary Fletcher Hospital in Burlington, and by Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans as a bedside nurse, Supervisor, inservice educator, infection control and risk management coordinator and finally as a Patient Care Coordinator. Nancy retired in 2000, but her services were utilized by the hospital for several years in many areas, much to her pleasure in being allowed to stay in touch with her peers. Throughout her nursing career, Nancy was fiercely loyal to the hospitals where she worked, her fellow health care workers, and her patients, in addition to the requirements, which she felt were necessary to attain her expectations of job fulfillment.

She was married on June 20, 1959, to Richard Brown, who survives her. Nancy is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and MaryBeth Brown, and their three children, Hunter, Ian, and Grace, all of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; her brothers and their wives, James and Marianne Cone of Volcun, Panama, and Neil and Diane Cone of Venice, Fla.; her cousins and their husbands, Sally and Murlan Cooper of Dade City, Fla., and Jane and Ted Turner of Spring Hill, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Lydia Johnson of Middlebury, Vt., and Linda Bedell of White River Junction, Vt.; brother-in-law and his wife, Robert and Dorothy Brown of Mesa, Ariz.; and numerous aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Nancy is also survived by her weekly lunch buddies' in St. Albans: Kathleen Riley, Pauly Ashton, Cassie Nutter, and Anna Mae Olmstead.

She was a past board member of the Franklin County United Way, and after her retirement, delivered Meals On Wheels, in addition to becoming involved in the Red Hat Groups in both St. Albans and Dade City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in her name to any local Meals On Wheels Programs, the Franklin County United Way, or a charity of one's choice.

A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, April 8, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the First Congregational Church, Church Street, St. Albans, after which her ashes will be placed in the ocean at Wells, Maine as per her request. Nancy's family will receive friends at the Church, from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral.

The Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans is assisting the family with arrangements.

ELIZABETH WILLSON SOULE
ST. ALBANS - A Memorial Service for Elizabeth Willson Soule, who passed away on March 10, 2006, will be held on Friday, March 31, 2006, at 11 a.m. in St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Church Street. The Reverend Dennis E. Hayward will officiate.

DOROTHY LOUISE LeBEAU
HIGHGATE CENTER - The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, March 27, 2006, at 11 a.m. from St. Louis Roman Catholic Church. Father John J. Meagher, SSE was the celebrant and homilist. John Ferland and Paul Laroche served as Ministers of the Altar as well as Eucharistic Ministers. Music was provided by organist and soloist, Mary Jo Gillilan.

The White Funeral Pall was draped over Mrs. LeBeau's casket by her son, Larry LeBeau and his wife, Debbie. The crucifix was then placed by granddaughter, Traci LeBeau. Mrs. Helen Stimets proclaimed readings from both the Old and New Testament. The Offertory Gifts were presented by granddaughter, Traci LeBeau and longtime family friend, Jackie Rabon. Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from Haven Health Center, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, Northwestern Medical Center, Franklin County Home Health Agency and St. Louis and Nativity Parish Communities.

Interment followed in the LeBeau family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Albans City with Father Meagher reading the committal prayers.

The bearers were nephews: Clifton Bushey Jr., Roger Bushey, Raymond Bushey, John Thibault; and family friends: Kevin Price, Matt Roddy and Joe Roddy.

Following The Prayers of Committal a Bereavement Luncheon was served for family and friends at the My-T-Fine II Restaurant in Highgate Springs hosted by Mrs. Nancy Paquette and staff.

NATALIE ANN 'NAN' SPENCER
BRADFORD / ST. ALBANS - Natalie Ann 'Nan' Spencer, 80, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2006, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, N.H. She was born in St. Albans on April 16, 1925, the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Brigham) Spencer.

Nan was a 1943 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans and of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in New York City. As a registered nurse she was employed at the former Kerbs Memorial Hospital in St. Albans, Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, N.H., the former Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover, N.H. and Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Conn.

Survivors include a cousin, Margaret Carlan of Bradford; and a special friend, Winifred Breau of Bradford.

A service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the Heald Funeral Chapel, 87 South Main St., St. Albans. Interment will be later this spring in the family lot at St. Albans Bay Cemetery.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorials in Nan's name to the National Kidney Foundation of Vermont, 11 Vanderbilt Avenue, Suite 105, Norwood, Mass. 02062.

MARILYN A. PIERCE
GEORGIA / ST. ALBANS - Marilyn A. 'Mimi' Pierce, 62, a longtime area resident, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 24, 2006, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility. She was born in St. Albans on Nov. 20, 1943, the daughter of the late Abram and Inez (Robinson) Duprey. On July 10, 1962, in St. Albans Town she married Robin W. Pierce, who survives her.

Marilyn attended St. Anne's Academy and was a 1962 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans. She then worked for the New England Telephone Company. She was a long time member of the Georgia Plain Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, on the Board of Christian Education, the Turkey Supper committee, and the Helping Hand Society. Marilyn was also very active in the Georgia School Parent Teacher Organization and she enjoyed conversing with people at the polls where she was a Georgia Ballot Clerk. Also, she was a member of the Georgia Plain Cemetery Association and Hope Cemetery Association and the Georgia Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Marilyn was known as the 'Crafty Lady' at craft shows for her dolls. Her hobbies included custom made all occasion cards, photography, reading and gardening. She very much enjoyed being with family and her Georgia friends.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Robin of St. Albans; two daughters: Deborah Lynn Pierce and her companion, David Merchant of Milton and Susan Pierce Cramer and her husband, Andrew of Milton; two brothers: David Duprey and his wife, Barbara of Highgate and William Duprey of Swanton; a special aunt, Eleanor R. Smith of White River Junction; a special person, who was like a son, Anthony Pelissier of St. Albans; special friends, Dick and Brenda Pattee of Milton, and many other Georgia friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Georgia Plain Baptist Church, on Stonebridge Road with the Reverend Charles Kuthe officiating. Interment will be in the Georgia Plain Cemetery. Marilyn's family will receive friends today (Monday) from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans.

PHYLLIS RAYMOND STANLEY
FLETCHER - Phyllis Raymond Stanley, 72, of Fletcher, died peacefully at Birchwood Terrace Healthcare with her family by her side, after living with Alzheimer's disease for 10 years. She was born June 19, 1933, in Ancon, Panama Canal Zone, Panama, the daughter of Phillip Howard Raymond and Mary Elizabeth Gilbert Raymond. She grew up in West Hartford, Conn. and enjoyed summers at the shore in Groton Long Point.

She married Rolfe Seaton Stanley, May 3, 1952, and together they had four daughters. A resident of Burlington since the early 1960s, Phyllis was active in her children's lives; assisting with art and music programs, fund raising events, and sports activities. Phyllis had a wide variety of interests and talents, among them: animals, gardening, knitting, reading, painting, and classical music. Her home was a central gathering place for family, friends, and neighbors. She was known for her excellent cooking and compassionate listening skills. She was a life long learner with an encyclopedic mind and a desire to learn and try new things; when she was in her 50s, she learned to fly small aircraft and enjoyed flying over the lake and mountains. Phyllis also loved to travel, in addition to annual trips to Sanibel with her childhood friend, Carolyn Reynolds, she visited the British Isles and Austria with her children, where she shared her passion for history with them.

Phyllis completed her schooling at the University of Vermont where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History, and her Master of Arts degree in classics in 1988. She was elected to join Phi Beta Kappa, a national honorary scholastic society, in 1985.

In her late 50s, she and Rolfe moved to Fletcher, Vt., where Phyllis grew a greenhouse full of orchids, took pictures of the lovely countryside around her, and enjoyed the variety of wildlife around her. She started to lose interest in things and gradually it became aware to her family that something was very wrong. Phyllis was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's at the age of 62. Her decline was heartbreaking, but she eventually entered a happy, peaceful stage, and was spared the grief of her husband's death. After Rolfe died, Phyllis was capably cared for by Betty Ryan, of St. Albans, but eventually she was moved to Birchwood Terrace Healthcare, where she lived happily with her new friends and where her children could visit her easily and often.

Phyllis was predeceased by Rolfe, her husband of 48 years, in 2000. She is survived by her four daughters: Linda Stanley, Cynthia Holappa, Karen Cruickshank and her husband, Dick, Laurie Toof and her husband, Kyle; her grandchildren: Elizabeth Stanley Mann, Richard and David Cruickshank, Morgan Holappa, and Connor and Adrienne Toof. She is also survived by her brother, William Raymond and his wife, Elizabeth of Woodland Hills, Calif.; and her step-sister, Carolyn Reynolds of West Hartford, Conn.

The family would like to thank Birchwood Terrace Healthcare, especially the C-wing staff and nurses, for taking good care of their mother and grandmother for the past four years.

A celebration of Phyllis's life will be held in the spring

LAURENT MARCOUX
ENOSBURG FALLS Laurent Marcoux, age 76, passed away Saturday morning, March 25, 2006, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

He was born in Drummondville, Que. Canada on April 18, 1929, the son of the late Emile and Alexisna (Carbonneau) Marcoux.

He was born and raised in Drummondville where he graduated from high school and then became a cadet in the Canadian Army followed by attending Ste. Joseph College in Montreal. He then returned to Drummondville where he served as a policeman and fireman for 17 years and received several awards for marksmanship with a rifle and revolver. He was also a member of the Le Club du Pheasant, Lions Club, Knights of Columbus all in Drummondville. In 1966 he moved to South Troy, Vt., where he owned and operated a farm and worked as a carpenter then moved to Richford where he owned and operated another farm and sold farm equipment. He then moved to Catskill, N.Y. and then Bloomfield, N.J. In New Jersey he worked as a building superintendent. During his years of retirement he lived in Stroudsburg, Pa., Alburgh, Vt. and Enosburg Falls, Vt. and enjoyed wood carving, gardening, building homes and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his children, SGT. Serge Marcoux of Richford, serving in Ramadi Iraq, and his son Gregory Marcoux and his wife, Lynn of Connecticut; Carole Sherrer, her husband, Ricky, and their children, Nicholas and Samantha all of Richford; Jeff Marcoux, his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Emily, Jocelyn, Joseph, Rachel and Melissa, all of Richford; Yvan Marcoux and his daughter, Suzanne Derocher of Burlington, Christine Guilmette, her husband, Gary, and their children, Shawn and Christopher all of Swanton, and Anny Lovelette, her husband, Robert, and their children, Tyler and Maria, all of Berkshire; his siblings: Raymond Marcoux and his wife, Jeanne of Drummondville, Que., Lorraine Martin of Quebec City, Que., Louise Marchant and her husband, Raymond of Drummondville, Que., Pierrie Marcoux and his wife, Giselle of Sherbooke, Que., and Alain Marcoux and his wife, Dianne of Drummondville, Que. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two grandsons: Alexander Sherrer and Bradley Marcoux; and two sisters: Hugette and Marceline Marcoux.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, March 29, 2006, at 11 at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford with Reverend Frank Eksterowicz celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial.

A time of visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford.

EUNICE MARY PATNODE
HIGHGATE - Mrs. Eunice Mary Patnode, 86, a lifelong resident of the Highgate community, died early Sunday morning, March 26, 2006, at her residence on the Parizo Road.

Born in Highgate on June 12, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Hattie Raymo. She attended schools in Highgate and on Oct. 17, 1938, was married to Raymond David Patnode who predeceased her on Feb. 24, 1996.

Mrs. Patnode will be remembered for her fine needlepoint as well as her enjoyment of Search A Word Puzzles, watching soap operas on television and reading the tabloid newspapers and magazines. In earlier years she assisted her family in the operation of the Raymo Dairy Farm on the Brosseau Road.

She leaves her daughter, Eleanor Shover and her husband, John of Highgate, with whom she made her home; a granddaughter, Michelle Desautels of Enosburg Falls; four great-grandchildren: Nathan of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Erin of St. Albans, Gabrielle of Richford, and Jenna of Enosburg; three step-grandchildren: David Shover of Highgate, Penny Wood and her husband, Randy of Milton, and Sara Cota and her husband, Robert of Newport; one brother, Raymond 'Sonny' Raymo and his wife, Anne of Seymour, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at 11 a.m. from the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton. Father John J. Meagher, SSE will officiate. Interment will follow in the Patnode family lot in St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lamkin Street, Highgate Center. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral.

Gifts in Mrs. Patnode's memory may be made to Missisquoi Valley Rescue, P.O. Box 22, Swanton 05488.
