Hall, Dola Friday, 16 Jul 2004
Dola Mae Hall, a Kitsap County resident for more than 54 years, died on July 16, 2004. She was 77.
She worked in drug stores, restaurants and was a homemaker.
Family members include her husband Donald Hall, of Port Orchard; sons Eugene Hall of Bremerton and Dennis Hall of Port Orchard; niece Carmen Lider of Port Orchard; brother Clyde Walker; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, July 21 and 22, at Haven of Rest Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, July 23, at Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor.
Rmemberances may be made to the National Wildlife Federation.

Boehm, Richard Friday, 16 Jul 2004
Richard Thomas (Tom) Boehm, of Silverdale, died on July 16, 2004, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was 63.
He was born on Aug. 23, 1940, in Queens, N.Y., to Alfred and Helen (Reinholz) Boehm.
He married Pamela Marie Beckwith in Bremerton on Feb. 17, 1963. She preceeded him in death in 2003.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1983 later worked as an insulator for 20 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard before retiring in 2003.
He enjoyed camping, family, animals and church activities.
He was a member of Abundant Life Four-Square Church.
He is survived by daughters Angela DeRosa of Tacoma and Stephanie Boehm of Tacoma, and brothers Steven Boehm of Millville, N.J., George Boehm of Vineland, N.J., and Robert Boehm of Milmay, N.J.
He was preceeded in death by brother William Boehm; and son Richard Boehm, Jr.
There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. on July 21, at Rill Chapel Pendleton-Gilchrist.

Todd, Ernest Friday, 16 Jul 2004
Ernest A. Todd, 91, a Port Orchard resident, died June 12, 2004.
He was born on June 6, 1913, in Garner, Iowa to Lester and Mary (Verto) Todd.
He attended high school in California and worked as a welder at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 20 years. He retired in 1984.
He loved fishing and hunting, was a restauranteur and day stock broker and managed 3 apartments under his penthouse home.
He is survived by his wife June Lundberg of Port Angeles; daughter Sherie and husband Bob Beardon of Shelton; brother Bob and wife Evelyn Todd of Port Orchard; and grandchildren Tony, Cory, Kary, Casey, Jeremy, Dennis, Todd and Bryan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Georgene and daughter Connie Paxton.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at Rill Chapel.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Maude F. York, Kitsap resident
Maude F. York, 93, died in Bellingham on July 11, 2004.
She was born in Crescent, Okla., and lived in New York, Kansas, Florida and Ohio.
A resident of Kitsap County for more than 20 years, she enjoyed collecting dolls and miniatures and quilting with many local friends.
She is survived by her sister Laura Nessie Derion of Bremerton; grandchildren Jackie McClure and Jennifer Kurtz of Bellingham, Richard McClure, Jr., of Trout Lake; and and great-grandchildren.
A private family service is planned. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.

Macri, June Sunday, 04 Jul 2004
June L. Macri, 79, a Port Orchard resident, died July 4, 2004, in Bremerton. She was born on Jan. 14, 1925, in Plainview, Tex., to Kirby L. and Vera (Alexander) Smith.
She graduated from San Jose High School in 1941.
She worked in real estate and accounting for 50 years.
She enjoyed classical music, her dogs, the Sons of Italy, and gardening.
She is survived by her sons Allen Mobley of Rock Hill, Mo., and Paul Mobley of Belfair; brother Kirby E. Smith of Winton, Calif.; and grandchildren Krista and Mitch Mobley.
She was preceded in death by her husbands John Macri in 2003 and Robert Mobley in 2004 and by her sister Oneida Thaep.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, at Rill Chapel.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Germain, David Thursday, 03 Jun 2004
David J. Germain, 62, a Port Orchard resident, died June 3, 2004.
He was born on June 27, 1940, in Weymouth, Mass., to Richard and Florence (Martel) Germain.
He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a specialty carpenter in California and a luggage repair technician in Port Orchard.
He enjoyed sailing, intercontinental bike riding, photography and he designed and built specialty furniture.
He is survived by his sister Joyce Moulton of Temple City, Calif. and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
His cousin Edna Kartmann will be hosing a celebration service at First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2004.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Brame-Graham, April Saturday, 10 Jul 2004
April Dawn Brame-Graham, 31, a Port Orchard resident, died on July 10, 2004, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born on Sept. 23, 1972, in Port Angeles to Sharon McAffee and Wilson Brame.
She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1991.
She loved spending time with her daughter, walking on the beach and going to sports games.
She is survived by her fiance Michael Krueger of Port Orchard; parents Sharon and Ron McAffee of Port Orchard and Kerry and Wilson Brame of Pueblo, Colo.; daughter Lindsey Kaiponen of Port Orchard; brother Charles Schandel of Los Angeles, Calif. and Jon McAffee of Salt Lake City, Utah; sisters Leila Seevers of Windsor, Colo., Jeni Tanksley of Gig Harbor, Noelle Sanchez of Pueblo, Colo. and Tanda Ruetter also of Pueblo; grandparents Yvonna Jensen and Ralph Liebsack of Bremerton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation and services were held on Friday, July 16 at Rill Chapel.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.
Memorial donations can be made to Memorial Fund for Lindsey Kaiponen at any Wells Fargo Bank.

Scott, John Friday, 09 Jul 2004
John Patrick Scott, 65, of Lakebay, died July 4, 2004.
He was born on June 1, 1939, in Grand Forks, N.D., to Robert and Ethel (Sternhagen) Scott.
He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1957 and worked as a commercial fisherman and as a carpenter at Subase Bangor until his retirement in 1976.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the B.P.O.E. (Elks) in Valley City, N.D.
He is survived by his companion, Karen Sanders, Lakebay; sons Robert Scott of Port Orchard and Daniel Scott and Valey City, N.D.; and grandchildren Jeremiah, Sarah, Jonathan, Shane and Cally Scott.
There will be a graveside ceremony at Sunset Memorial Park in Port Orchard at 1 p.m., July 12.
Arrangements were handled by Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Safsten, Anna Monday, 05 Jul 2004
Anna Olivia Safsten, 96, a Harper resident since 1935, died on July 5, 2004.
She was born in Petea, Sweden, on March 29, 1908, to August and Johanna Chelgrin Lundberg. She attended schools in Sweden before emigrating to the United States in 1929.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Harper Evangelical Free Church and was active in church activities.
She is survived by a younger sister in Sweden; son Gunnar and wife Barbara in Port Orchard; grandsons Tim (and wife Kathy), David and Dan; and great-grandchildren Jeffrey, James and Heidi, all of Port Orchard.
A family graveside service will be held at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home in Bremerton, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m., Monday, July 12, at the Harper Free Evangelical Church.
Memorial donations can be made to Harper Free Evangelical Church.

Nelson, Vernon Monday, 28 Jun 2004
Vernon G. Nelson, 69, died on June 28, 2004, at Manor care in Gig Harbor.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1935, in Holt, Minn. He married Beverly Kaplan-Nelson on Dec. 5, 1969.
He worked 30 years for Rocket Research (later Olin), in Redmond.
He is survived by his wife, of Port Orchard, and eight children.
There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. on July 10 at the First Lutheran Church, 2483 Mitchell Road, in Port Orchard.
