CLAUDIA JANE GREGERSEN
August 11, 1937 - January 3, 2010
Claudia Jane Gregersen, 72, a longtime resident of Chewelah, WA, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the St. Joseph's Long Term Care in Chewelah. She was surrounded with her loving family at her side.
Claudia was born in Monroe, WA on August 11, 1937 to Harold George and Wilma Wayne (Waters) Webster. Claudia grew up and attended schools in Monroe and Snohomish, WA. he married the love of her life, Carl Gregersen, in June of 1971. hey enjoyed 38 wonderful years together.
Claudia and her family moved to this area in the mid 1980's. Her favorite pastime was to go fishing and her favorite spot was Lake Ellen. Claudia loved being outside in the sun, doing yard work and going to yard sales. In later years, Claudia and her family would spend hours playing the card game, Skipbo.
We will all miss Claudia, but are comforted knowing that she is no longer suffering, is in heaven with a brand new body, and with her Lord Jesus watching over all of us.
Claudia is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Wilma Webster; a brother Harold Webster; sisters, Leola Bebout and Carol Speer; and son Kirk Wayne Smith. She is survived by her husband Carl Gregersen, Chewelah, WA; daughters, Cyndi Pagano, Spokane, WA, Jenipher Lopez, Addy, WA, Amy Todd, Colville, WA, and Carol Gregersen, of CA; a sister, Cynthia Jefferson, Monroe, WA; 11 grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Zach, Amber, Jake, Dakota, James, Gage, Tatum, Stephan, and Kelcy; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to thank St. Joseph’s Long Term Care for taking such great care of Claudia.
At Claudia’s request, there will be no services. The Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements.

Elizabeth Anne Michael
February 27, 1939 - January 1, 2010
Elizabeth Anne Michael, 70, passed away at her home on January 1, 2010 after a 'feisty fight' against cancer in Spokane, Washington. She was born in Colville, Washington to James 'Ross' and Juanita Vivian (Boyd) Michael on February 27, 1939.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Juanita Michael; siblings, Earl Michael and Mary Juanita Rosen; and John Boquist. She is survived by her siblings, Genevieve, Willard, and John; her children Mark, Beth, Ramona, and Sharon; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Colville, Washington.
The Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

Rodger Lee Philpott
April 9, 1948 - December 27, 2009
Rodger L. Philpott, age 61, a lifelong resident of the Colville, WA area passed away on Dec. 27, 2009 at his home in Arden. Rodger was born on April 9, 1948 in Colville, the son of Raymond Lee and Kathleen Grace (Murdock) Philpott.
He attended school in Arden through the eighth grade, and then with a new pair of leather work gloves, Rodger’s father wished him his best and sent him into the world. Rodger found work in the orchards and eventually returned home. He worked for a time at Cole Motors in Colville and then Meyers Dairy, from which he shared many a fond memory. Rodger later purchased well drilling equipment and operated the Philpott Well Drilling Co. In the mid-1970’s, Rodger began work as a logger. He enjoyed his work in the woods, the beauty of the outdoors and the freedom found at the worksite. He worked for Mike Aubert for the majority of his time in the timber industry. Rodger also worked in the 'in-between' times as a mechanic and welder.
Rodger had a wonderful appreciation for his grandparents and the many times he stayed in their home while growing up. He was a man who held his family in the highest regard. The times he cherished most were the pick-up baseball and croquet games in the pasture, followed by the campfire, hotdogs and story telling. He enjoyed both sides of a story, the telling and the listening. He spent much of his time hunting, fishing and taking in the beauty of his surroundings. His loving nature will be forever missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Philpott and a daughter, Sandra (Philpott) Morgan.
Rodger is survived by his wife, Beth Philpott, at the home; son, Joe Philpott and his wife, Meka of Colville, WA; daughters, Barbara Baker and her husband, Chuck of Airway Heights, WA, Tana Proszek of Colville, WA, Janice Philpott of Colville, WA, Vickie Neisley and her husband, Will of Fullerton, CA, Valerie White of Post Falls, ID; mother, Kathleen Richardson of Republic, WA; brother, Bill Philpott and his wife, Ina Joe of Colville, WA; numerous grandchildren and his longtime fishing partner, Ross.
A memorial gathering and potluck dinner will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at the Arden Community Club all are welcome to attend. Memorial contributions may be given to the Colville Habitat for Humanity store.
Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Henry Ensz
April 13, 1925 - June 14, 1925
Henry Ensz, a 26 year resident of Chewelah, WA passed away on June 14, 2010 in Chewelah at the age of 85. He was born in Scottsburg, Saskatchewan, Canada on April 13, 1925 to Dietrich and Elizabeth Ensz, the youngest of eight children.
Henry’s parents died in a blizzard in 1926 when Henry was about one year old. He was then taken to live with foster parents in Kansas on a farm along with his sisters Lena and Bertha, and his brother Otto. Henry lived in Kansas until 1984 when he came to Chewelah to live with his sister Caroline. He enjoyed attending church with his sister Bertha. Henry is survived by his sister Bertha Ensz of Chewelah, WA.

Susan Elizabeth McGahee
December 17, 1960 - November 25, 2009
Susan Elizabeth McGahee, a resident of Colville, WA went home to be with Jesus on November 25, 2009 in Spokane, WA at the age of 48. She was born in West Palm Beach, FL on December 17, 1960 the daughter of Kenneth Hammond and Beverly Ann (Motley) McGahee.
Susan was raised in West Palm Beach, FL and graduated from the John I Leonard High School in 1978. She then went on the mission field in Israel for two years before returning to West Palm Beach, FL. Susan went to work for the Palm Beach Post as the home delivery supervisor. She eventually retired in 1997, and continued to work at various occupations. She moved to Newport, WA in 2001, then to Colville in 2003 to be with her daughter.
Susan enjoyed gardening, reading, animals, and lighthouses. Most of all she loved Jesus, her family, and her precious grandchildren with all her heart. She could not wait until the day she became a grandma. Susan found her strength in the Lord. She loved praying for people and winning souls for Christ, and especially looked forward to her 'homecoming with Jesus.'
She is survived by her daughter Naomi Johnson, son-in-law Philip Johnson and her three grandchildren Rachel, Ella, and Aaron Johnson of Colville, WA; her mother Beverly McGahee of West Palm Beach, FL; her father Kenneth McGahee and his wife Jennifer of Boynton Beach, FL; her sister Lisa-Ann McGahee of West Palm Beach, FL; her brothers Kenneth 'Randy' McGahee and his wife Susan of Spartanburg, SC, Michael and Bobby McGahee of Boynton Beach, FL; and 7 nieces and nephews; and 2 great nieces and nephews.

DONNA LOUISE TOULOU
February 14, 1931 - November 26, 2009
Donna Louise Toulou, a longtime resident of Inchelium, WA passed away on November 26, 2009 in Colville, WA at the age of 78. She was born on February 14, 1931 in Boise, ID the daughter of August and Pearl Louise (Harris) Farber.
Donna moved with her family throughout several communities starting in Potlach followed by Lewiston, ID, Everett, WA, and then onto schools in Nooksack, WA, East Wenatchee, WA, Northport, WA and Colville. While in Colville she met Clell Toulou. Her family then moved from Colville to Oregon. She resided in Shady Cove for a couple of months before Clell drove down to see her. He then returned to Kewa with Donna after they were married on Oct. 19, 1954. They were married for over 30 years and raised their family in Kewa. Donna worked in the home tending to the needs of her family and the ranch. While working the ranch, she raised bottle fed calves and lambs and sold eggs and milk. Donna also worked for Sprouse-Ritz as a young lady in California and then later for Fonks in Colville. Due to her declining health, Donna moved to Cheney Assisted Living in 2005 and then returned to Colville where she resided at Parkview Assisted Living. Her health needs eventually brought her into the care found at Pinewood Nursing Home’s special care unit.
Donna was a member of the Ferry County Cowbelles and served on the Kewa cemetery Board.
Donna loved to raise her garden and tend to the needs of her caged friends including a parrot, parakeet, canary and a sparrow hawk. She had a fondness for Reese’s cup candies and enjoyed reading Reader’s Digest. She was a wonderful resource for her family with her natural intellect and life lessons.
Donna is survived by her daughters Luanne Finley and her husband Chuck of Inchelium, WA and Marilee Seymour and her husband Albert of Inchelium, WA; her grandchildren Lejon, Casey, Tanna and Brian Finley, and Scotty, Melanie, Audrey and Cole Seymour; her sister Lucy Stegall of Medford, OR; 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant twin, Donald.
The graveside service for Donna Toulou will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Kewa cemetery in Inchelium, WA. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Catholic Charities. The Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Colville, WA is entrusted with arrangements.
