Departed on Feb. 5, 2008 and resided in Kennewick, WA.

cemetery: Desert Lawn Memorial Park

Ida Jane Baugh, 99 of Kennewick, died February 5, 2008 at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, Washington.

She was born August 30, 1908 in Plant, Arkansas.

She married Bedford E. Baugh on February 11, 1928.

She will be laid to rest on what would have been her 80th wedding anniversary.

They lived in Clinton, Arkansas until 1946.

The family lived in what is now Columbia Park.

The little building, that was their home, still exists today and is used by park services.

After a huge wind storm that blew some of the neighbors' homes, and almost theirs, into the river, they moved to Walla Walla.

While living in Walla Walla, they farmed Walla Walla sweet onions and owned a large Victorian home.

Her husband and sons built "Evergreen Market", later they changed the name to, "The Boy's Market".

After the old store burnt down, they replaced it with a 7-11 that still exists today.

In 1962, they made Kennewick their permanent home.

The family built and operated the first fully automated car wash in the area, known today as, "Jiffy Carwash."

She was happiest fishing with "Pop", quilting, playing with babies, working in her garden and cooking for our large family get-togethers.

She would say, "There's always a place at the table for one more."

She will be remembered most for her kindness, generosity, loving ways, and always being there when you needed her.

Ida was preceded in death by her six brothers, five sisters, and in 1990, her husband Bedford.

Surviving relatives are her seven children: Clifton D. Baugh, Betty F. (husband Dale) Jenkins, Van Baugh, Elson L. (wife Linda) Baugh, Jim A. Baugh, Sharon "Sue" (husband Kenneth H.) Jackson, and John L. (wife Sarah) Baugh; 21 grandchildren: Judy Bowie, Larry Jenkins, Charles Jenkins, Darcy Jenkins, Richard Baugh, Barbara-Jean Keltch, Kay Scantlin, Peter Roberts, Greg Roberts, Susan Mason, Thomas Baugh, Suzy Baugh, Jana Baugh, Sandy Baugh, Ryan Ruble, Kerri Ruble-Bailey, Jacob Baugh, Joshua Baugh, Mary-Elizabeth Claybrook, Jennifer O'Lynch and Megan Phillips; 31 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She left a legacy and will be greatly missed but remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
