Delores A. Sisco

As a young girl, she traveled seasonally from eastern to western Washington helping the family picking fruit in the summer and digging clams the rest of the time. Delores graduated in 1951 from Hoquiam High School and attended the Grays Harbor Business College. She had worked for the 7th Street Theatre for several years and was an office clerk for AA Star Transfer for about 36 years.

Delores loved digging clams and fishing and was really good at both! Even in her 70’s she may not have been the first down to the surf, but was the first to get her limit. She always looked forward to camping all over Washington and Oregon, which usually involved a fishing pole, and if friends mentioned a chartered ocean fishing trip, she was ready. “Why haven’t we left yet?”
