Nancy Hutchinson, wife of Bob Hutchinson, drowned while vacationing in Hawaii at the young age of 55.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Canby Funeral Chapel.

She grew up in the Lewiston/Pullman areas, went to Colton/Uniontown High School and graduated from Pullman High School before marrying Bob, from Moscow, Idaho, in 1970.

They lived in Spokane, where she received her medical records technician degree and began her own successful consulting business for nursing homes, which she did for more than 30 years.

Bob's work took them to Milwaukee, Wis., in 1972 where their first child was born.

They moved to Portland in 1975 where their second child was born.

The family moved to their West Linn home in 1985.

Nancy joined her husband in business in 1997 as office manager, and was eventually joined by their son and son-in-law.

Nancy enjoyed reading, golf, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and being with family. She loved to travel, which provided many subjects for her true passion: photography.

Bob and Nancy traveled all over the world from the beginning of their marriage and had many more trips planned for the years to come.

She will be missed forever.

She touched many lives and made a difference in them all.

Remembrances may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation Oregon Chapter, PO Box 19296, Portland, OR 97280.
