Mary Duffy (Campbell)
Mary was born on July 9, 1937 in N. Terre Haute, IN. She passed away on June 25, 1998 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary loved her work as a esthetician with her daughter at "Snazzie's" on Sixth Ave. She was a member of Covenant Celebration Church. She is lovingly survived by daughters, Mary (Jim), Ruth Anna, Tina Marie, Twin Sons Patrick and Michael; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, June 29, 7:00 P.M. at Covenant Celebration Church, 1819 E. 72nd, Tacoma, WA. 98404. Arrangements by Tuell-McKee Funeral Home, 272-1414.

Ruth G. Henderson
Ruth G. Henderson, 87, passed away with courage on June 22, 1998. Ruth was born in Thorton,WA, on April 18, 1911; she lived most of her adult life in the Sumner/Puyallup area. She was a cook by trade and a member of the Salvation Army Church. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, T.R. Henderson, daughter Kathy Riddell, son-in-law Fred Riddell, and son Donald Henderson. She is survived by her brothers, David Durham of White Salmon, WA, Thomas Durham of Tacoma; her daughter, Bethyl Robertson of Puyallup; lifelong family friend, Henry Lowick of Sumner; 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren. Ruth's family wishes to thank the staff of Linden Grove Care Center for all the care, love and support they have given us the past 4 years. It was Ruth's request that any donations be made to the Salvation Army Church, 4009 9th St. SW, Puyallup, WA 98373. Memorial service will be July 11, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salvation Army Church. Donald Kitt
Donald Kitt, 93, passed away June 26, 1998. Born in England, he had been a Tacoma area resident the last 30 years. An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed backpacking, hiking, fishing and golf. Longtime member of the Gig Harbor Golf Club and belonged to a bowling league at Pacific Lanes. Preceded in death by wife Almeda in 1997. Survivors include daughter Janice Spangler (husband Robert) of Oregon; sons Donald Kitt of Tacoma, Loren Kitt (wife Kathy) of Washington DC; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Private family services will be held. He was a loving, devoted husband and father, who cared very much for his family. He will be dearly missed. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584-0252.

George William Hinkle
George William Hinkle was born August 1, 1915 in Shirley, Arkansas.George became an orphan at an early age, working as a farmhand until joining the U.S. Army in 1941. His unit, The 81st Recon. of the First Armored Division ("Old Ironsides"), served in North Africa, where the "81st" was all captured or killed by the enemy. George was liberated on Friday, April 13, 1945 (he weighed 105 lbs). After his discharge he worked in Sacramento, CA, until four years later, when he re-enlisted in the Army and was sent to Korea with the 61st Field Artillery. In 1951 he was discharged at Ft. Lewis, WA. He then worked at the Motor Base there as a warehouseman until retiring in 1970. He married Virginia Cook, L.P.N. on May 30, 1970. They lived an active life, enjoying boating, fishing, bowling in two senior leagues and, in the latter years, bingo playing. Each year for 11 years they attended reunions of the 1st Armored Div. in many parts of the U.S. Last year they were unable to attend. George had no children, but enjoyed Virginia's three grown ones. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; stepchildren Patricia (James) Richards of Tacoma, David (Linda) Cook; step-grandchildren Teresa (Steve) Michalke (U.S. Army Chaplain), Linda and David Ahrens (U.S. Army Lt.Col.), Michael Cook, WWU, Christopher Cook of Seattle, and Megan Cook of Bellevue, WA; and also six step-great-grandchildren. He was active as long as possible in Tacoma Chapters of American Ex POW's, Harmony DAV #18, American Legion, and Peace Lutheran Church of Puyallup. His many friends and his family mourn his loss. "WE LOVE YOU GEORGE." Viewing Sunday, 1pm to 9pm, Mt. View Funeral Home. Graveside service 11:30am Tuesday, June 30, 1998 at Mt. View Memorial Park. Memorial service 2:00pm Tuesday, June 30, 1998 at Peace Lutheran Church, 214 E. Pioneer, Puyallup, WA 98372. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home, 584-0252.

Herbert Torgrimson
Herbert L. Torgrimson, 82, of Bremerton, died June 20, 1998. He was born Oct. 15, 1915 in McNally, Alberta, Canada. He was a high school graduate. On June 2, 1957 he married his wife, Ruth, in Bremerton. He retired from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Survivors include a brother, Henry of Puyallup; and 3 sisters, Gladys Darling of Central City, PA, Olive Lee of Albuquerque, NM, and Marjorie Deatry of Puyallup. His wife preceded him in death. A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on June 30 at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Hubert C. Mills
Hubert C. Mills, 82, born March 29, 1916 in Vanoss, OK, passed away June 24, 1998 in Puyallup, WA. Major Mills served in WWII and served in the Battle of the Bulge, 28th Division, 728th Ordnance Co. He was a member of the Masonic Joseph Warren Lodge #235, Sojourners Chapter #89, and Heros. Mr. Mills was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Georgia Mills, and brothers George, Joe and Harold (Harold was killed in Germany during WWII). Viewing Sunday, June 28, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Mt. View Funeral Home. Funeral service Monday, June 29, 1998, 1:00 p.m., Mt. View Garden Chapel. Memorials may be sent in Mr. Mills' name to Bethany Lutheran Church, 26418 Mountain Hwy. E., Spanaway, WA 98387, or to a favorite charity. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home, 584-0252.

Jesusa F. Felarca, 65, passed away earlier this month. She was born in the Philippines and had lived in Pierce County the past 14 years. Jesusa had been a practicing nurse in Hawaii. Survivors include daughters Susan Newby and Ruth Quinonez; mother Apalonia Felarca; 5 brothers, 3 sisters. Memorial services Sunday, 10 a.m. at Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel. 473-2900.

John M. Allison
John M. Allison, age 57, of Juneau, AK, was born July 26, 1940, passed from this life on June 25, 1998 in Tacoma, WA, to forever rest in the arms of his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. John leaves his beloved family: wife Helen of 38 years; daughter Carolynn, son-in-law John Morris; son Douglas, daughter-in-law Karen Allison; son Gregory Allison; daughter Cathleen, son-in-law Joel Stutheit; grandchildren Paul, David, Laura and Timothy Morris, Ashley and Nathan Allison, Amanda Allison, Brianna Stutheit; mother Amy McCrory; brothers Lee and Gary Allison; sisters Eula Cheslik and Nancy Hickman. John was an active member of Evangel Assembly of God Church in Juneau, and a proud member of Alaska Pipe Trades Local 262. John enjoyed the love and support of many family members, friends and co-workers throughout his illness. His family wishes to thank them and Good Samaritan Oncology Services. Services will be Monday, June 29, 2:00 p.m. at Fir Lane Chapel. Interment will follow in Fir Lane Memorial Park.

Robert "Bob" B. Bellamy
Robert B. Bellamy, 61, died June 25, 1998 after a long battle with Leukemia. Born June 22, 1937 in Seattle, WA. A graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, Oregon, 1955 and Oregon State University 1960. An avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, Robert held memberships with the Tacoma Sportsman's Club and Society of Professional Foresters. He worked 39 years for Champion International Inc. Survived by wife of 38 years, Elaine of Puyallup; sons Bill and wife Holly of Roseville, CA, Jeff of Susanville, CA, Mark of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren Hailey and Travis of Roseville, CA; brothers Richard and wife Katheryn of Los Angeles, CA, Larry of Aloha, OR; sister Barbara Spencer, Tigard, OR. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 1:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home, 320 W. Pioneer, Puyallup, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Inpatient Oncology Unit, Tacoma, WA.
