Eleanor L. Gange, 83, of Yakima died Wednesday at Garden Village. Mrs. Gange was born in Sacramento, Calif.

Survivors include three grandchildren, April Ortiz and Lee Tatro of Yakima, and Eleanor Eldredge of Ohio; 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

No service is planned at this time. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Walter G. Rippee
Announcement dated September 18, 2009
Walter Glen Rippee, 81, of Yakima died Thursday. Mr. Rippee was born in Walker, Mo., and served in the Army. He lived in Union Gap from 1949-2004 and worked for the U.S. Post Office, retiring in 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn L. Rippee of Yakima; two daughters, Kathy Segriff of Williston, Fla., and Karen Rippee of Klamath Falls, Ore.; a son, David Rippee of Selah; and two grandchildren.

Services are pending. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Patricia Dexter
Announcement dated September 18, 2009
Patricia Dexter, 81, of Ellensburg died Tuesday at Dry Creek Assisted Living. Mrs. Dexter was born in Toppenish and lived in Yakima during her childhood. She lived in Gilchrist, Ore., before moving to Ellensburg in 1952. She worked for the state Department of Transportation, retiring in 1970.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Hiatt of Ellensburg; a son, Doug Erickson of Pasco; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering of friends and family will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 at Dry Creek. Arrangements are by Affordable Funeral Care of Ellensburg.

Ruth E. Liebsch

Ruth Eileen Liebsch, 84, of Yakima died Tuesday. Mrs. Liebsch was born in Wichita, Kan., and moved to Yakima when she was 14 years old. She worked as a school cook until retiring.

Survivors include two daughters, Kim Harris and Kathy Cantrell, both of Yakima; a sister, Alta Harsell of Yakima; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is pending. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.

Earl D. Garver

Earl Dean Garver, 81, of Selah died Wednesday at Selah Convalescent. Mr. Garver was born in Salina, Kan., and served in the Navy during World War II. He owned and operated Garver's Plumbing for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Garver; two children, Earl Allen and Deann Kingman, both of Selah; a sister, Jean Ludwig of Edmonds, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 515 E. Yakima Ave. Private interment will be in West Hill Memorial Park.

Emma L. Grant

Emma Louise Grant, 66, of Yakima died Thursday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mrs. Grant was born in Krum, Texas. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene Grant of Yakima; three daughters, Susan Grant of Portland, Becky Violette and Debbie Harrington, both of Yakima; three brothers, Frank Ham of Euffala, Okla., James Ham of Canyon City, Colo., and Samuel Ham of Durant, Okla.; a sister, Martha Grant of Yakima; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at noon Monday at Church of Christ, 910 Lasalle St., Yakima. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.

Ray T. Vance

Ray Thomas Vance, 87, of Yakima died Thursday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mr. Vance was born in Asotin, Wash. He worked as an electrician.

Survivors include a son, Kenton Vance of Silverdale, Wash.; two daughters, Linda Gabbard of Selah and Deanna Vance of Yakima; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are pending. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.

Patricia E. Brown

Patricia E. Brown, 69, of Selah died Thursday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Brown was born in Everett, Wash. She worked as a chemical dependency counselor.

Survivors include two sons, Eugene Brown of Selah and Robert Baker of Everett; four daughters, Tamra Rodriguez and Cindy Brown of Yakima, Margaret Spencer of Marysville, Wash., and Marcy Brown of Olympia; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Valley Hills Funeral Home of Yakima.

Jacqueline Day
Announcement dated September 19, 2009
Jacqueline Day, 75, of Selah died Thursday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mrs. Day was born in Arkansas and raised in Dexter, Mo.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Day of Selah.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, also at Keith and Keith.

Lowell G. Felitz
Announcement dated September 19, 2009
Lowell Glenn Felitz, 76, of Yakima died Sept. 3. Mr. Felitz was born in Yakima and served in the Army.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of Yakima; a brother, Harold Felitz of Yakima; four children, Dawn Martin of Lake Tapps, Wash., Michelle Crary of Puyallup, Wash., Karla Allen of Federal Way, Wash., and Glenn Robison of Goldendale; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four stepchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 16 in Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash.

Lois A. Hugill
Announcement dated September 19, 2009
Lois Amelia Hugill, 92, of Yakima died Tuesday at the Chandler House. Mrs. Hugill was born in Colorado and moved to the Yakima Valley in the late 1920s. In 1952, she and her husband purchased an orchard in Selah, which they operated for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Russel Hugill and Mike Hugill; a sister, Ruby Nadlehoffer of San Francisco; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel. Interment will follow in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Dale Davis

Dale Davis, 59, of Selah died Friday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

No information is known about Ms. Davis.

Anyone with information regarding next of kin is asked to call Shaw & Sons Funeral Home.

Ivan I. Isadore
Announcement dated September 20, 2009
Ivan I. Isadore, 17, of White Swan died at his home Saturday.

He was born in Yakima. He worked as a private contractor planting and thinning trees on the Yakama Nation Reservation.

Survivors include his parents, Ivan Isadore Sr. and Lynn Johnson, both of White Swan; nine brothers, Wyatt Isadore, Izayah Johnson, Blaine, Waylon, Sundron, PJ, David, Ambrose, and Warren, all of White Swan; one sister, Deanna Mae Isadore of White Swan; his grandparents and a great-grandmother.

Dressing services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Colonial Funeral Home. Overnight services will be at the Toppenish Creek Cemetery in White Swan. The funeral will be at sunrise Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in White Swan.

Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.

John Feusner

John Feusner, 59, of Selah died Friday at his home.

He was born in Longview, Wash. He was a longtime resident of Selah and a rancher.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Feusner of Selah; two sons, John Feusner and Jacob Feusner, and a daughter, Jenna Feusner, all of the Yakima Valley.

Services are pending. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Kathryn L. Ramirez

Kathryn Lisa Ramirez, 52, of Yakima died Friday at her home.

She was born in Los Angeles. She was a health care provider.

Survivors include her husband, Jose Ramirez of Yakima; a son, Nick Ramirez of Seattle; two daughters, Cherize Ramirez and Cherlanda Navarrete, both of Yakima; a brother, Michael Shumate of the Tri-Cities; three sisters, Darla Graham of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Kathy Jergenson and Linda DeLannoy, both of the Tri-Cities.

A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 26 at West Side Baptist Church in Yakima. Arrangements are by Shaw & Sons Funeral Home.

Jose S. Valdez

Jose Santos Valdez, 80, died Friday in Wapato. Mr. Santos Valdez was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and later lived in Wapato, where he worked in agriculture.

Survivors include his wife, Chanitz Valdez of Wapato; three sons, Santos Valdez Jr., Daniel Valdez and Saul Valdez, all of Wapato; four daughters, Gloria Beltran of Wapato, Rosalina Gonzalez of Wapato, Oneida Montemayor of Moses Lake, Wash., and Sally Gonzalez of Moxee; a brother Candelario Valdez; 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A vigil will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, with a Mass there at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in Reservation Community Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Merrit Funeral Home.

Opal M. Waltman

Opal Mae Waltman, 78, died Saturday in Yakima. Mrs. Waltman was a Yakima native and was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Kepferle of Lexington Park, Md., and Katherine Chartier of Yakima; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service is pending. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.

Jose S. Valdez

Conrad Michael Lee Barber, 24, of Selah died Friday at home. Mr. Barber was born in Yakima and served with the Washington National Guard's 1161st Transportation Unit. He worked for the Department of Corrections since 2007.

Survivors include three children, Tanner Lee, Makenze Ann and Makala Lou Barber, all of Selah; his parents, Rick L. and Julie Barber of Wapato and Michele A. Brown of Yakima; two brothers, Jerrid Barber and Zac Barber, both of Yakima; two stepsisters, Stephanie Rodriguez and Kady Young, both of Yakima; and his grandparents, Jim and Mary Barber of Walla Walla and Barbara E. Cyr of Yakima.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Yakima Foursquare Church. Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.

William D. Brown

William D. "Bill" Brown, 100, of Yakima died Saturday. Mr. Brown was born in Eldorado Springs, Mo. His career was in agriculture, working with Sick Hop Farms, Mondavi Winery and Rainier Brewing Co.

Survivors include his wife, Florence; a son, Bill D. Brown of Yakima; a sister, Clara Feaster of San Meteo, Calif.; a brother, Jake Brown of Oakdale, Conn.; three grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Keith and Keith Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

John P. Fromherz

John Peter Fromherz, 58, of Yakima died Sunday at home. Mr. Fromherz was born in Yakima and lived in cities throughout the Northwest and Alaska while working in mills in instrumentation.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Fromherz of Yakima; a brother, Bill Fromherz of Yakima; and two sisters, Marylen Robinson of South Bend, Ind., and Suzanne Fromherz of Yakima.

Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. A vigil service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Selah. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, also at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Verlene P. LaDeaux

Verlene P. LaDeaux, 43, of White Swan died Monday. She was born in Huntington Park, Calif., and raised in White Swan. She worked for the Yakama Nation in various departments over the years.

Survivors include her parents, Willard and JoAnne Walker of White Swan; three children, Derek Payer, Vance LaDeaux and Delana Hoptowit, all of White Swan; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Overnight services were Monday at the White Swan Independent Shaker Church. The funeral procession will leave 8 a.m. today for the Weiyallup Cemetery in Wiley City. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.
