Dorothy Smith, 76, of Yakima died Sept. 14. Ms. Smith was born in Piggot, Ark.

Survivors include two brothers, Jessie Carlisle of California and Cecil Carlisle of Missouri; and a sister, Lillie Gates of Toppenish.

Graveside services were Monday in the Zillah Cemetery. Arrangements were by Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah.

Agnes Wiedenmann
Announcement dated September 22, 2009
Agnes Wiedenmann, 86, of Yakima died Saturday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Wiedenmann was born in Richmond, Va., and lived most of her life in the Portland area. She moved to Yakima seven years ago.

Survivors include nine children, Adam Wiedenmann and Susan Zellner of Yakima, Eddie Wiedenmann, Michael Wiedenmann and Christie Dieter of Portland, Bill Wiedenmann of Dallas, Ore., Arthur Wiedenmann of Lacey, Wash., Patty Birch of Milwaukie, Ore., and David Lawson of Boise, Idaho; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.

Stanley G. Dieterich

Stanley George Dieterich, 70, of Yakima died Saturday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mr. Dieterich was born in Spokane and served in the Coast Guard. He owned an accounting firm.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Dieterich of Yakima; a daughter, Lanee Hagney of California; two stepdaughters, Radena Bultena of Pasco and Angela Crawford of Yakima; a brother, Ernie Dieterich of Spokane; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at West Valley Church of the Nazarene in Yakima. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.

Ruby Reeves

Ruby Reeves, 85, of Yakima died Sunday. Mrs. Reeves was born in Marshall, Ark. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Ray Reeves of Copalis Beach, Wash.; two daughters, Shirley Brown of Yakima and Darlene Tibbatts of Auburn, Wash.; and 23 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Full Gospel Church, 2120 S. Third Ave., Yakima. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.

Ruth R. Rogers

Ruth R. Rogers, 71, of Sunnyside died Saturday in Yakima. Mrs. Rogers was born in Riverton, Wyo. She worked for the United Telephone Co. in Sunnyside for 10 years. From 1980 to 1997 she was a paraprofessional for the Sunnyside School District.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Rogers of Sunnyside; a son, Lynn Rogers of Burbank, Wash.; and a brother, Allen Ross of Grandview.

A graveside inurnment will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside. A celebration of life will follow at 11 a.m. at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home.

Opal M. Waltman
Announcement dated September 23, 2009
Opal Mae Waltman, 78, of Yakima died Saturday. Mrs. Waltman was born in Yakima. She was homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Waltman of Yakima; two daughters, Deborah Kepferle of Lexington Park, Md., and Katherine Chartier of Yakima; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.

Helen K. Warne

Helen K. Warne, 94, of Ellensburg died Monday at Kittitas Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Warne was born in Odessa, Wash. She was employed by Model Laundry and Cleaners and Band Box Beauty Salon before her retirement.

Survivors include a son, Robert Warne of Seattle; a brother, John Hill of Seattle; and two sisters, Mary Arnold of Vancouver, Wash., and Esther Leighton of Shoreline, Wash.

A memorial observation will be private with inurnment in the I.O.O.F. Columbarium. Arrangements are by Affordable Funeral Care of Ellensburg.

Emily A. Wentz

Emily Alair Wentz, 71, of Richland died Sunday at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. She was born in Toppenish and had lived 39 years in the Yakima area. She was a homemaker.

Arrangements are by Einan's Funeral Home of Richland.

Lynn H. Dailey

Lynn Hobart Dailey, 80, of Yakima died Monday. Mr. Dailey was born in Tulsa, Okla., and served in the Army. He was a retired Washington state electrical inspector.

Survivors include two sons, Mitchell Dailey of Seattle and Michael Dailey of Yakima; four daughters, Marilyn Olmstead of Selah, Marcy Lochridge and Melissa Woodcock of Yakima and Luann Hayford of Moses Lake, Wash.; two brothers, John Dailey and Roy Dailey of Hemet, Calif.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, also at Keith and Keith. Interment will follow in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Beatrice L. Walters

Beatrice Lucille Walters, 89, of Yakima died Saturday in Selah. Mrs. Walters was born in Prosper, Texas.

Survivors include a daughter, Eva Bonner of Yakima; a son, John Walters of Elephant Butte, N.M.; a brother, J.B. Norris of McKinney, Texas; five sisters, Ruby Freeman of Sacramento, Calif., Dorothy Henderson of Albuquerque, N.M., Nellie Baker of Alamogordo, N.M., Jeannie Roberts of Keller, Texas, and Joann Howard of McKinney, Texas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Wenas Cemetery.

Shirley K. Zeller, 95, of Yakima died Sunday at Arbor House. Mrs. Zeller was born in Crestline, Ohio. She worked as a registered nurse for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Patterson, and a son, Bill Zeller, both of Yakima; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A family celebration of life is planned. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Nichole L. Beery

Nichole Lyn Beery, 22, of Everett, Wash., formerly of Yakima, died Friday from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. She was born in Yakima. She was a medical assistant.

Survivors include her mother, Diana Beery of Everett; her father, Arthur Beery Jr.; her stepfather, Tom Gabbard, her stepmother, Debra Delatorre of Yakima; and her brother, Beau Beery of Yakima.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, all at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Stone Church, 3303 Englewood Ave., Yakima.

Analicia Ellis
Announcement dated September 23, 2009
Analicia Rosemarie Marmolejo Ellis, infant daughter of Misty Ellis and Eduardo Marmolejo Brambila, died Thursday.

Besides her parents, survivors include a brother, Isiah Ellis of Selah; grandparents, Jessica Martinez of Yakima and Rosa Maria Brambila of Selah; and great-grandparents, Evelyn Ellis, Jesus Brambila and Felizidades Brambila, all of Yakima.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Herbert H. Anton

Herbert H. Anton, 90, of Yakima died Sept. 17 at Willow Springs Care Center. Mr. Anton was born in Van Hook, N.D. He worked at Northern Pacific Railroad and B & B Crew.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Anton of Yakima; a daughter, Marl Wentz of Moxee; two sisters, two brothers, two grandsons and one great-grandson.

A memorial vigil service will be at 5:30 p.m. today at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Cathedral, with concluding rites in Calvary Cemetery.

Robert D. Jones

Robert D. Jones, 75, of Selah died Tuesday. Mr. Jones was born in Kearney, Neb.

Survivors include a sister, Peggy Ferguson of Selah.

A service is planned by the family at a later date. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Thelma Taliaferro

Thelma Taliaferro, 93, of Ellensburg died Friday at home. Mrs. Taliaferro was born in Oklahoma. She moved to Ellensburg in the early 1940s and was a sales clerk and accountant.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth of Ellensburg; and a sister, Juanita of Indiana.

Following inurnment in the I.O.O.F. Columbarium, a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 3 at the Presbyterian Church, 1307 E. Third Ave., Ellensburg. Arrangements are by Affordable Funeral Care of Ellensburg.

M. Elaine Nagle
Announcement dated September 25, 2009
M. Elaine Nagle, 85, of Yakima died Monday. Mrs. Nagle was born in St. Cloud, Minn., and moved to the Yakima area in 1937. She worked as a graphic artist for a Yakima area printing company until her retirement in 1989.

Survivors include her husband, William Nagle of Yakima; a son, David Nagle of Lehi, Utah; two daughters, Alice Tibbett of Yakima and Bonny Conforto of Lehi; 20 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Yakima. The funeral will follow at 2:30 p.m., also at the church. Burial will be in West Hill Memorial Park.

Thomas E. Nelson Sr.
Announcement dated September 25, 2009
Thomas Elleworth Nelson Sr., 93, of Yakima died Tuesday. Mr. Nelson was born in Bickleton and served in the Army during World War II. He worked as a foreign service officer before retiring 32 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Nelson of Yakima; a son, Thomas Nelson Jr. of West Linn, Ore.; a daughter, Barbara N. Estabrook of Gardiner, Maine; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.

Augustin Flores Perez died Wednesday in Yakima.

Maybelle Harriet Stiles-Golphenee, 90, of Yakima died Wednesday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mrs. Stiles-Golphenee was born in Enid, Mont. She worked in various canneries and packing warehouses, including the Snokist cannery for 32 years.

Survivors include two sons, Vernon Stiles of Spokane and Lyn Stiles of Yakima; a sister, Violet Golphenee of Vancouver, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.

Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, also at Keith and Keith. Burial will follow in West Hills Memorial Park.

Sharon Kay Trout, 59, of Selah died Wednesday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mrs. Trout was born in Yakima.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Trout of Selah; a son, Richard Trout of Lake Stevens, Wash.; two daughters, Jami Hanulik of Seattle and Heather Roebuck of Mooresville, N.C.; four brothers, Larry Davis and Michael Davis, both of Selah, Bryon Davis of Snohomish, Wash., and Paul Davis of Terrace Heights; a sister, Linda Davis of Selah; and five grandchildren.

Service plans are pending. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Bess L. Miller, 88, of Yakima died Thursday. Mrs. Miller was born in Holton, Kan., and moved to the Yakima area in 1951. She worked as a sales clerk for a local retail company until her retirement.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy Penfield of Mayetta, Kan., Kay Pfeffer of Yakima and Patricia Freeman of Springfield, Mo.; two sons, Gerald Smith of Sumner, Wash., and Brian Sutton of Pasco; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Keith and Keith Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Lucille M. Morgan, 92, of Ellensburg died Tuesday at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital. Mrs. Morgan was born in Aberdeen, S.D., and came to Ellensburg in 1979.

Survivors include four sisters, Rhoda Ensign of Yakima, Ruth Johnson of Grants Pass, Ore., Esther Stout of Kirkland, Wash., and Dorothy Moulton of Portland; and a brother, Bob Dyk of Spokane.

A celebration of life and reception will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mercer Creek Church (formerly CMA), 1407 N. B St., Ellensburg. Arrangements are by Affordable Funeral Care of Ellensburg.
