Marion Ruth Smith, 60, of Yakima died Sunday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Hauppauge, N.Y., and came to Yakima in 1988. She worked as a hostess at Marti's Restaurant for 14 years and as a caregiver at Mabel Swan for two years.

Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Smith of Yakima; a son, Adam Smith of Everett, Wash.; and a brother, Donald Munson of Longmeadow, Mass.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Rex Kabrich

Rex Kabrich, 83, of Yakima died Friday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Yakima and served in the Army during World War II. He owned Burrows Tractor Inc.

Survivors include three sons, John Kabrich, Luke Kabrich and William Kabrich, all of Yakima; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Yakima Country Club. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima.

Maxine Greer

Maxine Greer, 74, of Zillah died Sunday in Selah.

She was born in El Centro, Calif. She came to Yakima in 2003. She worked as a bank teller for eight years and as a secretary for 20 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Irion of Zillah and Jami Yager of Selah; a son, Alan Greer of Porterville, Calif.; a sister, Tina Hancox of Clovis, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Eleanor N. Lucei

Eleanor "Ellie" N. Lucei, 86, of Wapato died Saturday.

She was born in Toppenish and raised in the Yakima Valley. She worked as a Rosie the Riveter during World War II in Portland and Seattle shipyards. She also worked as a laborer and a nurse's aide. She was a member of the Yakama Nation.

Survivors include a daughter, Delphine Barnhart of Brownstown; two brothers, Norman Lucei of Warm Springs, Ore., and William DeCoteau Jr. of Harrah; seven sisters, Arlene George, Norma Williams and Ella D. James, all of Toppenish, Christine Kipp and Florence "Liz" Lucei, both of Wapato, Roberta Wahwassuck of Mayetta, Kan., and Mary DeCoteau of Seattle; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Overnight services were Monday at White Swan Independent Church with the funeral at 7 this morning. Interment will follow at Toppenish Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.

Thomas Allen Wilkinson, son of Marshall and Shasta Wilkinson of Tieton, was stillborn Saturday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

In addition to his parents, survivors include three siblings, Kendra, Brianna and Chase, all of Tieton; and grandparents, Cliff and Nancy Lucas and Linda Muns.

No services will be held. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Gregg W. Davidson, 64, of Yakima died Saturday at Intermountain Health Care in Murray, Utah.

Mr. Davidson was born in Salt Lake City. He was a senior field engineer with Direct TV.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Davidson of Yakima; a daughter, Jennifer Martinez of Eagle River, Alaska; a son, Jayson Davidson of American Fork, Utah; a stepdaughter, Ashley Griffin; his father and mother, Kenneth and Shirley Davidson of Yakima; a brother, Brad Davidson of Yakima; two sisters, Carol Carpenter of Anaheim, Calif., and Gaye Annabell of Yakima; four granddaughters and one stepgrandson.

Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel.

Virginia E. (Licudan) Ortega

Virginia Ellen (Licudan) Ortega, 63, of Yakima died Monday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.

Mrs. Ortega was born in Mindoro, The Philippines. She moved with her parents to San Francisco and then to the Yakima Valley, settling in Wapato. She worked as a nurse at St. Elizabeth/Providence Medical Center for 42 years.

Survivors include her husband, Federico A. Ortega Sr. of Yakima; a stepson, Fred Ortega Jr. of Yakima; three sisters, Florence Harshbarger of Huntington, Va., Thelma Overstreet of Portland and Norma King of Auburn, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato. Burial will follow in West Hills Memorial Park, Yakima. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.

Rosa M. Delgado

Rosa Maria Delgado, 52, of Yakima died Friday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.

Mrs. Delgado was born in Santiago, Mexico, and moved to Yakima in 1982. She worked in the fruit orchards.

Survivors include two children, Miguel Delgado and Cynthia Delgado of Yakima; her father, Jesus Delgado of Mexico; three sisters, Maria Delgado and Teresa Delgado of Yakima and Silvia Delgado of Mexico; and four brothers, Ernesto Delgado of Montana, Jose Delgado, Rigoberto Delgado and Luis Delgado, all of Mexico.

Viewing will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m. today and Thursday from noon until the vigil service at 5 p.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Calvary Cemetery. Those planning to attend should meet at the gravesite.

William E. Silvers

William E. Silvers, 97, of Zillah died Saturday in Yakima.

Mr. Silvers was born in Buena. He worked as a fruit farmer on 40-acre property.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Silvers-Gill of Buena and Carolyn Jewett of Woodinville, Wash.; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Zillah Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at Parker Heights Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah.

Leroy Graff

Leroy Graff, 76, of Prosser died Saturday at Prosser Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Graff was born in Minatare, Neb. He spent his early career as an ironworker on construction sites. He later worked as a fabricator and was part owner of Kenasco in Prosser.

Survivors include his wife, Luzana "Lou" Graff of Prosser; three sons, Gordon Graff of West Richland, Gary Graff of Henderson, Nev., and George "Andy" Graff of Prosser; three sisters, Betty England, Barbara Sackett and Dorothy Johnson; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Prosser Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Prosser.

Allen D. Nunley

Allen Dwight Nunley, 56, of Yakima died Monday after a battle with cancer.

Mr. Nunley was born in Whitwell, Tenn., and moved to Yakima when he was 9 years old. He served in the National Guard and spent 25 years in Othello, Wash., working for Marley Orchards.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie; a daughter, Jennifer Shawna Nigh; his adopted son, Allen James (A.J.); a stepson, Heath Smith; six siblings, Opal McWain, Sherry Miller, Pat Duvall, Dean Dunn, Eddie Nunley and Steve Nunley; and seven grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bovill Cemetery in Bovill, Idaho. Arrangements are by Kayser's Chapel and Crematory of Moses Lake.

Kenneth O. Phillips

Kenneth Orville Phillips, 62, of Yakima died Feb. 16.

Mr. Phillips was born in Yakima and had also lived in Kirkland and Bellevue, Wash. He worked in wastewater management with Bonneville Power and was in business with his friend, Tom Clark of Walla Walla.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Roberts Phillips of Yakima; two sons, Norm Phillips of Colorado and George Phillips of Dallas; two daughters, Angie Phillips of Burlington, Wash., and Mary Phillips of Colorado; two brothers, Tim Phillips of Yakima and Brian Phillips of California; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Yakima. Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.

Dale L. Quantrille

Dale LeRoy Quantrille, 76, of Yakima died Saturday at home.

Mr. Quantrille was born in Yakima. He was a mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Quantrille of Yakima; seven children, Sheryl Antunex, August Chavers, John Chavers, Virginia Gutierrez and Harold Quantrille, all of Yakima, Rhonda Robinson of Tumwater, Wash., and Theresa; three stepchildren, Amylaurie Hildersheim and John McAviney of Yakima and Carol Janski of Tacoma; three sisters, Loretta Valenzuela and Norma Alrey of Yakima and Anna Winbun of Chicago; two brothers, David Quantrille of Yakima and Walter Quantrille; 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel at the Salvation Army in Yakima Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Martin A. Ramirez

Martin A. Ramirez, 19, of Tacoma died Friday in Everett, Wash.

Mr. Ramirez was born and raised in Toppenish.

Survivors include his companion, Adrianna Iniguez; his parents, Martin Ramirez of Toppenish and Gloria Tellez of Tacoma; two sons, Fabian A. and Armando Ramirez, both of Yakima; three brothers, Eliott Tellez of Tacoma, Estevan Ramirez and Julian Ramirez of Yakima; two sisters, Amanda Ramirez of Federal Way, Wash., and Anna Ramirez of Edmonds, Wash.; and his grandparents, Gloria Lopez, Rogelio Cipriano and Apolonia Equihua.

Recitation of the rosary will be at 2 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Changing Point in Yakima. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Toppenish.

Mireya Farias Ramirez

Mireya Farias Ramirez, 37, of New York City died Saturday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.

Ms. Ramirez was born in Jiquilpan, Mexico, and lived for a time in Yakima. She owned a meat shop in New York.

Survivors include her companion, Antonio Aguilar of New York; two children, Alejandra Mejia Farias and Omar Aguilar Farias; her father, Luis Farias G. of Jiquilpan; two sisters, Marta Farias of New York and Maria Luisa Farias of Mexico; and a brother, Luis Farias Jr.of New York.

Viewing will be from noon to 6:30 p.m. today and Thursday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Panteon Municipal in Jiquilpan, Mexico.

Patricia A. Thompson

Patricia A. "Pat" Thompson, 40, of Granger died Monday in Toppenish.

Ms. Thompson was born in Portland and raised in Granger. She worked for the Yakama Nation as a social worker, a counselor for Higher Education and most recently for DSHS division of CPS as a case worker.

Survivors include her parents, Moses and Darlene Thompson of Granger; a brother, Michael Thompson of Granger; three sisters, Joyce Thompson and Raven Thompson of Granger and Diana Thompson-Marconi of Toppenish.

Dressing services will be at 10 a.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home, with overnight services at the Toppenish Longhouse. The funeral will be at 7 a.m. Thursday at the longhouse, with interment to follow in Reservation Community Memorial Park, west of Wapato.

Barbara J. Allan

Barbara Joyce Allan, 71, of Buena died Monday in North Bend, Wash.

Mrs. Allan was born in Seattle. She worked as a nurse.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Jacobson of Buena; a daughter, Marlene Young of Fall City, Wash.; four sons, Edward Allan of Yakima, Phillip Turple of North Bend, Wayne Turple of Pasco and Robert Turple of Snoqualmie; 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Zillah Nazarene Church. Burial will follow in the Zillah Cemetery.

Dean Holmes

Dean Holmes, 72, of Yakima died Tuesday at Chandler House. Mr. Holmes was born in Salmon, Idaho, and served in the National Guard. He worked for Decoto Aircraft/Smith Aerospace, retiring after 451/2 years.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Holmes of Yakima; a son, Robert Holmes; two daughters, Holly Holmes and Tami Linger; and four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.

Marjorie E. Burnett

Marjorie Ellen (Osborne) Burnett, 86, of Yakima died Thursday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Burnett was born in Yakima and raised in the Yakima and Selah areas. She worked at the Yakima Family YMCA for more than 20 years.

Survivors include a son, Richard Burnett of Selah; three grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

At her request, she has been cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Funeral and Cremation Care of Kennewick.
