Vickie Nesary-Howe, 77, of Yakima, formerly of Omak, Wash., died June 14. Mrs. Nesary-Howe was born in Faxon, Okla. She lived in Yakima for a time and worked at the Capitol Theatre. While living in Omak, she worked at Okanogan County Mental Health for 17 years. She recently returned to Yakima.

Survivors include three children, Valorie Nesary-Bazard and Mitchell Nesary, both of Yakima, and Carrie Martin of Omak; a brother, Robert Hurst Jr. of Mesquite, Texas; and a sister, Lettie Belt of Lexington, Ky.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church in Omak. Arrangements are by Legacy Memorial Funeral Home.

Harold E. Anderson
Announcement dated June 24, 2010
Harold E. Anderson, 95, of Yakima died Wednesday at Highgate House. Mr. Anderson was born in Yakima. He was an area orchardist until the age of 75.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Anderson and Nick Anderson of Yakima; a daughter, Susan Keller of Cowiche; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside committal will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in West Hills Memorial Park. A memorial service is planned to follow at 11 a.m. at Westside Church in Yakima. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Mary J. Goodhue
Announcement dated June 24, 2010
Mary J. Goodhue, 82, of Grandview died Monday at Hillcrest Manor in Sunnyside.

Mrs. Goodhue was born in Long Beach, Calif. She was a school cook in California before moving to Grandview.

Survivors include a son, Gordon Fleener of Grandview; a daughter, Julie Fleener of Douglas City, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

At her request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home of Sunnyside.

Mildred E. Lafferty
Announcement dated June 24, 2010
Mildred E. Lafferty, 67, of Yakima died Tuesday. Mrs. Lafferty was born in Yakima. She worked in the fruit packing business for several years with Del Monte and Hansen Fruit.

Survivors include three sons, Steve Heneghen and Corey Heneghen, both of Yakima. and Mark Heneghen of Las Vegas; three brothers, Harold Burckhard, Tim Burckhard and Robert Burckhard, all of Yakima; a sister, Irene Hauser of Yakima; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Concluding service and burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Clarence Schilperoort

Clarence Schilperoort, 92, of Mesa, Ariz., and a former Sunnyside resident, died Monday in Modesto, Calif.

Mr. Schilperoort was born in Sunnyside.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Schilperoort; two children, Thomas Schilperoort and Nancy Greenwald; a brother, Elmer Schilperoort of Sunnyside; and three sisters, Lillian Jansen and Pauline Newhouse, both of Sunnyside, and Elsie Wassenaar of Seattle.

Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.

Ruth F. Graham

Ruth F. Graham, 94, of Yakima died Thursday at Landmark Care Center. Mrs. Graham was born in Moberly, Mo. She owned a restaurant and worked as a cook for several places in Yakima, including the Yakima Juvenile Detention Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Lila Rose of Yakima and Charlene Vos of Tieton; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and numerous foster grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel. Concluding services will be in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Verlin D. Kollman
Announcement dated June 25, 2010
Verlin Dale Kollman, 78, of Bend, Ore., died Tuesday at home. Mr. Kollman was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and moved with his family to Ontario, Ore., when he was young. He moved to Yakima in 1950 and worked as superintendent at Yakima Manufacturing, later Yakima Door, retiring in 1989. He moved to Bend in 1996.

Survivors include his wife, Reatha Kollman of Bend; three children, Jan Deccio and Tommy Kollman of Yakima and Gary Kollman of Bothell, Wash.; a brother, Melvin Kollman of Yakima; a sister, Joyce Vaughn of Hillsboro, Ore.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Viola J. Faught
Announcement dated June 25, 2010
Viola Jane Faught, 88, of Yakima died June 18 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Faught was born in Prosser and moved to Yakima in 1956. She worked at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital as a ward clerk and then became a nurse and worked as an LPN, also at Memorial.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Skermer; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.

Flossie E. Silvers

Flossie E. Silvers, 101, of Yakima died Tuesday at Summitview Health Care Center. Mrs. Silvers was born in New Harmony, Ind. She worked as a Yakima County payroll clerk.

Survivors include a son, David Gibson of West Richland; a daughter, Velma Donahue of Yakima; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel. Concluding services are in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Joseph B. Andreas
Announcement dated June 26, 2010
Joseph Brian Andreas, 84, of Grandview died Wednesday at home. Mr. Andreas was born and raised in Wapato. He farmed in the west Wapato and White Swan areas, raising cattle, alfalfa seed, sugar beets, hay and grain until he retired.

Survivors include three daughters, Karen Cockle of Everson, Wash., Bernie Orgill of Clackamas, Ore., and Tracy Sanderson of Vancouver, Wash.; two brothers, John Andreas of Yakima and Anthony Andreas of Olympia; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Prosser Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Concluding services and burial will follow in Prosser Cemetery.

Brenda Bennett

Brenda Bennett, 45, of Ellensburg died Thursday at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital. Ms. Bennett was born in Spokane and moved to Ellensburg with her family in 1992.

Survivors include her father, Paul J. Bennett; and a brother, Dan Bennett, both of Ellensburg.

A memorial celebration of life is planned at a future time with details to be announced. Inurnment will be in the family plot in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are by Affordable Funeral Care of Ellensburg.

Gerald A. Dauenhauer

Gerald Allen Dauenhauer, 57, of Yakima died Wednesday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mr. Dauenhauer was born in Yakima. He worked in construction throughout the Yakima area.

Survivors include his mother, Florence M. (Haag) Dauenhauer; six children, Jesse Dauenhauer, Jerry Dauenhauer, Travis Reed, Rosella Dauenhauer, Levi Dauenhauer and Storm Dauenhauer; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are pending. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Robert G. Ellinwood

Robert George Ellinwood, 88, of Yakima died Wednesday at Cedar Hills Home. Mr. Ellinwood was born in Muskegon, Mich. He was an electronic engineer for China Lake Naval Weapons Center.

Survivors include his wife, Naoma Ellinwood of Yakima; a son, Donald Ellinwood of Corvallis, Ore.; two daughters, Donna Eich of Kennewick and Kathy Tucker of Selah; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside inurnment will be at 11 a.m. July 3 in West Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Dominga Lozano

Dominga Lozano, 71, of Yakima died Wednesday at home. Mrs. Lozano was born in Jalisco, Mexico. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Alferdo Lozano; six sons, Jose Angel Lozano, Roberto Lozano, Jesse Lozano, Jose Alferdo Lozano, Jose Juan Pedro Lozano and Angel Lozano; four daughters, Maria Ramirez, Reina Bautista, Luz Hernandez and Dominga Rachel Lozano; three brothers, Rosendo Deloza, Jose Deloza and Asuncion Deloza; five sisters, Catalina Deloza, Luisa Deloza, Marta Deloza, Julia Deloza and Maria De Jesus Deloza; 33 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be this weekend at the family home, 305 S. Sixth St., Yakima. Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.

Elgeva L. Simonian

Elgeva Lutich Simonian, 84, of Yakima died Friday. Mrs. Simonian was born in Ponca City, Okla. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Isaac Simonian of Yakima; two sons, Ronnie E. Jansson of Grants Pass, Ore., and Isaac M. Simonian of Auburn, Wash.; a daughter, Elva J. McLeughlin of Spokane; two brothers, Lester Mathews of Banning, Calif., and Uyles Mathews of Ponca City, Okla.; a sister, Wanda Cleveland of Corona, Calif.; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A gathering of friends and family will be held. Time and date are pending. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.

Saul Fuentes, 69, of Grandview died Thursday in Yakima. Mr. Fuentes was born in Michoacán, Mexico. He moved to California in 1970 and to Grandview in 1980.

Survivors include four children, Arnold Fuentes, Jorge Fuentes and Maria Elena Bejar of Grandview and Alma Silva of Pasco; a sister, Maria De Jesus Fuentes; two brothers, Francisco Fuentes and Arnoldo Contreras; and nine grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m., all at Smith Funeral Home in Grandview. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Grandview. Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery.

Joseph Linger

Joseph Linger, 53, of Moxee died Thursday. Mr. Linger was born in Yakima and raised in Moxee. He was a ranch foreman with Loftus Ranches.

Survivors include a son, Billy Linger of Moxee; a daughter, Lynn Linger of Yakima; four sisters, Patricia Sharp of Moxee, Wilma Desharnais of Kirkland, Wash., Janet Owens of Salem, Ark., and Faye Ann Byrd of Mill Creek, Wash.; and one granddaughter.

Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Church in Moxee.

Delores J. Robinett

Delores Jean Robinett, 81, of Yakima died Thursday in Yakima.

Mrs. Robinett was born in Portland. She worked as the activities director at a local convalescent center before retiring.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Gardner of Yakima and Valerie O'Neal of Mountain Home, Ark; a son, Cliff Robinett of Oregon City, Ore.; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home in Yakima.

Larry B. Haak

Larry Bruce Haak, 62, of Richland died Thursday at home.

Mr. Haak was born in Kankakee, Ill., and grew up in the Midwest. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He then worked in the construction industry before moving to Sunnyside, where he farmed for more than 25 years. He later worked in real estate in the Tri-Cities.

Survivors include his wife, Melinda Haak of Richland; two daughters, Serena Werkhoven of Portland and Esther Haak of Seattle; a son, Dylan Haak of Pasco; his mother, Gertrude Haak of Tempe, Ariz.; two sisters, Sandy DeJong of Bonanza, Ore., and Ruth Ruter of Sioux Center, Iowa; two brothers, Bill Haak of Gentry, Ark., and Steve Haak of Litchfield Park, Ariz.; and two grandsons.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Church in Richland. Arrangements are by Einan's Funeral Home of Richland.

Zenorina Barajas-Valencia

Zenorina "Marina" Barajas-Valencia, 42, of Yakima died June 20 in Yakima from injuries suffered when a suspect fleeing from police crashed into her vehicle.

She was born in Agililla, Mexico, and moved to the Yakima area at age 8. She worked as fruit packer at a local warehouse.

Survivors include a sister, Gloria Barajas-Valencia; four brothers, Sergio Valencia, Jose Barajas-Valencia, Jesus Valencia and Luis Valencia; and her mother, Maria Valencia-Medina.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yakima. Burial will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.

Arthur A. Rosenbush

Arthur Alfred "Al" Rosenbush, 84, of Naches died Friday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Rosenbush moved to Naches with his family as an infant. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II and worked for Layman Lumber Co. for 26 years.

Survivors include two sons, Rick Lloyd and Mike Rosenbush, both of Naches; a daughter, Kristy Crowell of Ione, Ore.; two sisters, Ruth Lamson of Selah and Della Newport of Summit, Ore.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is being planned. Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Home of Yakima.
