McClung, Pansy Mae
Tuesday, 02 Dec 2003
Pansy Mae McClung, 73, of Oak Harbor, died in a car accident Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, in Oak Harbor. She was born June 25, 1930, to Mr. and Mrs. Ring, in Fort Collins, Colo. Pansy married her husband, Wallace Lee McClung, Sept. 7, 1966, in San Diego.
She was previously employed for 13 years as a supervisor at Swinomish Casino gift shop before her retirement in 2000. Pansy’s all-time favorite thing was having her grandchildren near her to watch movies with, take shopping and purchase things for them — she would do anything for them. After that, she was the biggest Elvis fan ever. Anything that had Elvis on it — she owned. Pansy also loved to watch football, especially the Seahawks. She would jump and yell and get so excited when watching games.
Her favorite hobby was bingo. She played faithfully and also believed she would win the lottery. Pansy loved to work and worked as long as she could.
She even tried to work following retirement. She loved people and everyone who met her, loved her. She could talk and tell stories all day and make everyone laugh. Her favorite was telling stories to the grandchildren about their parents. Pansy was the best and none of us will ever be able to see,or hear Elvis again without thinking of her and her phone that rang to “Jailhouse Rock.”
