Marca Ellen Harmon, 60, died Jan. 2, 2000 in Casa Grande, Ariz.
She worked at the Okanogan County Assessor's Office for several years before moving to Arizona around 1991. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed crafts and Southwestern art.
Simes Mortuary's Casa Grande Chapel, Arizona, was in charge of arrangements.

Roger Holt
STANWOOD - Roger Harrison Holt, 79, Marysville, died Jan. 5, 2000 in Stanwood.
He was born March 21, 1920, in Wenatchee to Louie and Esther (Poe) Holt. He had been a resident of Snohomish County for four years, coming from Omak.
A funeral service was held Jan. 9 at the Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville, with interment in the Wenatchee Cemetery Jan. 10.
Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville, was in charge of arrangements.

Robert A. Harn
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Former Oroville resident Robert A. Harn, 70, Cashmere, died Dec. 30, 1999 in Little Rock, Ark.
He was born May 27, 1929, at Roseau, Minn., to Ernest R. and Florence M. Harn. He attended school in Roseau.
Acklin Funeral Home, Little Rock, was in charge of arrangements.

Theodore Coates
Theodore A. Coates, 64, Okanogan, died Dec. 25, 1999 in Okanogan.
He was born Jan. 20, 1935, in Everett to Theodore A. and Johanna (Deyoung) Coates Sr. He attended school in the Everett area and served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Precht-Harrison Chapel, Omak, was in charge of arrangements.

Edna C. Schetzle
SUN CITY, Ariz. - Former Omak resident Edna C. Schetzle died Dec. 26, 1999 at Sun Health Care Center in Sun City, Ariz.
She was born July 9, 1904, in Cokato, Minn., and married John Schetzle in Anchorage, Alaska, Aug. 7, 1944. She was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and taught many students in Minnesota, South Dakota, Idaho, Washington and Alaska before retiring in 1966 in Omak.
Graveside services were held at Howard Lake, Minn., followed by interment beside her husband.

Cecil Marchand
MOSES LAKE - Okanogan County native Cecil A. Marchand, 79, a longtime Moses Lake resident, died Jan. 5, 2000 at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center, Moses Lake.
He was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Monse, to the late Ollie and Alex Marchand. He grew up in Omak and graduated from Omak High School, then attended Washington State College and Gonzaga University.
Rosary and Memorial Mass were celebrated Jan. 8 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Monsignor Martin O. Skehan as celebrant. Private family inurnment and committal services were Jan. 10 at Pioneer Memorial Gardens.
Memorials are suggested to any charity.
Kayser's Chapel of Memories, Moses Lake, was in charge of arrangements.

Jeremy Smith Jr.
Jeremy Smith Jr., 69 days old, died Jan. 4, 2000 at Mid-Valley Hospital, Omak.
He was born Oct. 27, 1999, in Omak to Jeremy Smith and Teresa Hobbs. He weighed seven pounds, seven ounces, and was 20 inches long. and Christine Hobbs. He was the greatest gift, said his family.
Rosary was held Jan. 6 at the Omak Community Center with Mass of Christian burial Jan. 7 at St. Mary's Mission Catholic Church.
Precht-Harrison Chapel, Omak, was in charge of arrangements.

Pamela Kennedy
Pamela A. Kennedy, 37, Okanogan, died Dec. 22, 1999.
The Cremation Society of Washington, Spokane, was in charge of arrangements.

R. Dale Hilton
R. Dale Hilton, 67, died Jan. 4, 2000 at his home in Omak.
He was born Aug. 19, 1932, in Cassville, Mo., to George and Edith (Bond) Hilton. He moved to the Omak area when he was 13 years old, and attended and graduated from Omak High School in 1951. He married Ann Staggs in Pasco May 17, 1958.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Eagles Lodge.

Marguerite M. Rochelle, 83, Omak, died Jan. 6 at Mid-Valley Hospital, Omak.
She was born April 19, 1916, in Wallace, Idaho, to George H. and Mary Jo Brislawn. When she was a child the family moved to Sprague, where she graduated from high school.
Rosary was held Jan. 10 and funeral Mass Jan. 11, both at the Republic Catholic Church with the Rev. George Morbeck officiating. Interment was in the Republic Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church or any charity.
Bergh Funeral Service of Oroville and Republic was in charge of arrangements.

Lorraine Paul
Lorraine Paul, 40, Omak, died Jan. 9, 2000 at her home.
She was born Jan. 14, 1959, in Omak to Victor and Elizabeth (Pichette) Paul, and grew up in Omak. She enjoyed playing with her children and grandchildren, and liked to play bingo and the slot machines.
Rosary was held Jan. 11 at the Omak Community Center with Mass of Christian Burial set for 10 a.m. today, Jan. 12, at St. Mary's Mission Catholic Church. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Mission Cemetery.
Precht-Harrison Chapel, Omak, is in charge of arrangements.

Earl Goodell
Earl William Goodell, 85, Omak, died Jan. 8, 2000 at Valley Care Center, Okanogan, from complications received when he was struck by a vehicle Dec. 6.
He was born July 27, 1914, in Midway, B.C. He moved to the United States when he was 5 with his parents, Earnest and Ida (Gull) Goodell. His father owned and operated Omak's first blacksmith shop, where he helped his father. He also attended Omak public schools.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 12, at Precht-Harrison Chapel, Omak, with interment at Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens. A dinner will follow at the Okanogan Grange Hall.

Beulah Hink
TONASKET - Beulah Johnson Hink, 95, died Jan. 9, 2000 at North Valley Nursing Home, Tonasket.
She was born April 7, 1904, in Almira to pioneers Frank and Sarah (Parsons) Leatherman. She spent her childhood on her parents' homestead on High Hill above Soap Lake.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Okanogan City Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to North Valley Nursing Home or Omak Senior Center.

Marcille C. Robbins

Marcille C. Robbins, 70, died June 10, 2000 at her home in Omak. She was the victim of a homicide.
She was born Sept. 25, 1929, in Blackwell, Texas, to Stanley George and Irene (English) Crudup. At age 5, she moved with her family to Arkansas and attended St. Paul School.
On May 23, 1946, she married Thomas Lee Robbins. In May 1948 she moved to Omak with her husband and infant daughter, Kathy.
She worked at various restaurants in Omak and Okanogan, including the Elks and the Cedars Inn, from which she retired.
During her retirement, she served the community as a volunteer transport driver for the state Department of Social and Health Services and Okanogan County Counseling Services. She was a member of the Omak Senior Citizens Association and Mid-Valley Hospital Auxiliary.
Her hobbies included crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Kathy Petersen and Dallas Harvey, Omak, Janie and Jerry Milbrandt, Omak, and Tommye Robbins, Omak; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Terri Robbins, Omak; grandchildren Robin Dezellem, Heidi (Dezellem) BigWolf and Cass Robbins, all of Omak, Paul Gann of Winthrop, Jake Gann of East Wenatchee; great-granddaughters Kate and Abby BigWolf, both Omak; siblings George Crudup of Upham, Calif., and Helen (Crudup) Parret of Tulsa, Okla., and four step-grandchildren, David and Cory Milbrandt, Leslie Milbrandt, Kelly Milbrandt and Melissa Milbrandt.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Omak Senior Citizens Fund, Omak Senior Center, PO Box 931, Omak, WA 98841
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 16, at the Omak Memorial Cemetery.

Joseph Rusch
REDMOND - Joseph Fred Rusch, 43, a frequent visitor to Okanogan County, died April 9, 2000 in Oaxaca, Mexico.
The youngest child of a big, happy, noisy family, he was born and grew up on a small farm in Kirkland. He attended local public schools and graduated from Redmond High School in 1975.
A memorial service will be held June 17 at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center in Redmond. Burial will be in the family plot at Cedar Lawns Memorial Park in Redmond.

Erica Steffen
Erica Steffen, 88, Omak, died at home June 7, 2000.
She was born April 19, 1912, in Saraton, Russia, to Conrad and Emil (Mizner) Wacker. She moved to Lincoln, Neb., where she graduated from Lincoln High School and the University of Nebraska School of Music.
A funeral service was June 12 at the United Methodist Church in Skamokawa with the Rev. Dr. Robert Corlett officiating. Entombment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Cathlamet.
Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church Music Fund, P.O. Box 205, Skamokawa 98647.
Arrangements were by Dowling Funeral Home, 45 Broadway St., Cathlamet 98612.

George O. and Hazel B. Brown
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2000 at the Omak Memorial Cemetery for George O. and Hazel B. Brown.
Family and friends are invited to attend, say organizers.
Following the services there will be a potluck dinner at the George O. Brown residence at 100 Jacquish Road, Omak.

Lillian Montaney
SOAP LAKE - Okanogan County native Lillian Mae (Wilhite) Montaney, 83, Soap Lake, died June 5, 2000 at Columbia Basin Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in the Aeneas Valley Feb. 20, 1917. She was very active in her community, helping to establish the first race track in the Soap Lake area, and putting on water ski tournaments on Soap Lake.
A celebration of life was held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Ephrata June 10. Memorials are suggested to the Fred Hutchinson Center through the American Cancer Society.
Nicoles Funeral Home, Ephrata, was in charge of arrangements.

Gary Gibson
SOAP LAKE - Gary Lee Gibson, 51, Soap Lake, died at home June 10, 2000.
He was born in Omak July 29, 1958, to Burt and Pauline Gibson.
Arrangements are by Nicoles Funeral Home, Ephrata.
