A celebration of the life of Jason Ragan will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at the home of Dan and Stephanie Downey, 28 West River Road, Omak (behind Wal-Mart).
Signs will be posted.

Sarah Lynn Skipper
Snohomish
Sarah Lynn Skipper, 33 of Snohomish passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the home of her parents in Snohomish following a two-year battle with colon cancer. She was born September 7, 1973 in Great Falls, Mont.
Sarah graduated from Oroville High School in 1991. Following graduation, she attended Green River Community College in Auburn, Wash. Later she attended Wenatchee Valley College North in Omak where she received her AA degree. She moved back to the Seattle area and worked for Sun Maker Tours where she booked corporate travel and took care of travel arrangements for the Seattle area sports teams
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Oroville United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Spaur officiating. Burial will follow in the Oroville Riverview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Sarah's name to Evergreen Hospice, 12910 Totem Lake Blvd. N.E., Suite 200, Kirkland, WA 98034-2901.
Arrangements are under the direction of Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.

Gary Gilge
Gary Gilge was born in Fargo, North Dakota, Sept. 10, 1941 to Irene and Millard Gilge.
Services were held with military honors on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel in Okanogan.
Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Virginia (Bohn) Glendenning
Moses Lake
Virginia (Bohn) Glendenning, 88, a long-time resident of Moses Lake, died Friday afternoon, November 25th, 2006, at home surrounded by loved ones, concluding a courageous year-long battle with cancer.
A funeral service of commemoration to celebrate the life of Virginia (Bohn) Glendenning was conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 30, 2006, in the Kayser's Chapel, with Minister Eric Frey officiating. The service concluded in the funeral home chapel followed by internment in the Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kayser's Chapel. Family and friends were invited to a reception at Michael's on the Lake immediately following internment.
Those who wish to make a memorial in her name may do so at Big Bend Community College, Larry and Lorrayne Peterson Nursing Scholarships, 7662 Chanute Dr. NE, Moses Lake, WA 98837 or to Lance Armstrong LIVESTRONG Foundation, PO Box 161150, Austin, TX 78716-1150.

Marie Washburn
Marie (Dancker) Washburn, Omak, died Nov. 27, 2006, at her home.

Clay Belles
Clay Worth (Pete) Belles, 78, died Dec. 1.
He was born April 18, 1929, in Aberdeen and lived most of his life in Omak.

Janice Wells
Janice Wells, 61, Omak, died Dec. 2, 2006, at her home.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the Precht-Harrison Nearents Chapel, Okanogan. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Mission, Omak.
Precht-Harrison Nearents Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Alice Brown
Alice Virginia Farnsworth Brown, 93, died at her home Nov. 30, 2006.
She was born on a farm near Curlew June 12, 1913, to Charles and Lucille (Driffield) Farnsworth. She lived on the flat between Omak and Okanogan for 75 years.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the Omak Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ken Peterson officiating.
Precht-Harrison Nearents Chapel, Okanogan, is in charge of arrangements.

Delmar H. Howe
Omak
Delmar H. Howe, 89, son of Mae and Clarence Howe, born August 14, 1917 in Fairfield, Mo., passed away at his home in Omak on Monday, February 19, 2007. Delmar moved with his family from Oklahoma to Washington in 1935.
Viewing for Delmar Howe will be 2-4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 24, at Precht-Harrison Nearents Chapel, Okanogan.
Rosary service is Friday, February 23rd at 7 p.m., at St. Mary's Mission. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 24th at 3 p.m., also at St. Mary's Mission. Precht-Harrison-Nearents is in charge of arrangements.
Delmar requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Omak Kiwanis Club.

Richmond Guilford Harms
Omak
Richmond Guilford Harms, 68, died peacefully at his home in Omak on February 12, 2007 with his loving family at his side, after a courageous fight against cancer.
He was born to Wilbur and Leila Harms (Guilford) on June 23, 1938 in Vancouver, Wash.
In 1991, he moved to Riverside, Wash. and in 1993 he married Melanie Kurtz, daughter Molly was then born. In 2006 the family moved to Omak.
A celebration of Richmond’s life will be held at the family home in Omak on Saturday, March 3 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. All friends, family and acquaintances are invited. His final resting place will be in Port Townsend at a future date. Rich suggested that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Okanogan Valley Friends of Music, c/o Patty Baumgartner, 599 North Siwash, Tonasket, WA 98855, or Okanogan Valley Orchestra and Chorus, P.O. Box 1636, Omak, WA 98841.

Lawrence Vernon Forsythe
Twisp
On Feb. 5 2007, Lawrence Vernon Forsythe passed away at Valley Care Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 29, 1915 to Mildred B. Forsythe and Grover C. Forsythe of Pine Creek where he resided until he married Ethel Voyles in 1940. From there he and Ethel moved to Omak, Wash. and Lawrence worked for Wagner Lumber Mill in Okanogan.

1 p.m. at the Barnes Chapel, Elmway, Okanogan, Wash.

Barbara Jean Dudgeon
Omak
Barbara Jean Dudgeon, 69, of Omak, Wash., went to be with her Lord and Saviour Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007. She was at Mid-Valley Hospital, Omak.
Barbara was born at home in Okanogan, Wash., Sept. 15, 1937 to Daniel and Elizabeth Anderson Beckley. She attended Okanogan schools, and in June of 1954, she married Kenneth J. Dudgeon of Omak, Wash. at Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel in Okanogan, Wash. with interment following at the Okanogan City Cemetery.
A very special thank you to Michael Nearents for his loving, caring concern. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel is in care of arrangements.
A very compassionate, loving, caring person, Barb will be missed by all who knew her.

Murl Leder
Omak
Murl Leder, 57, passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 surrounded by his wife and family.
Murl was born in Silverton, Ore. to Alvin and Lila Leder. The family moved to Omak where Murl grew up working at his father’s local gas stations.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Omak Fish and Game Club.
Services were held at the Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment followed at the Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens. A potluck followed the graveside services.
Precht-Harrison-Nearents was in charge of arrangements.

Donna C. Barrett
East Wenatchee
Donna C. Barrett, 87, a resident of East Wenatchee, died Thursday evening, February 15, 2007 in Central Washington Hospital.
She was born Donna C. George on June 7, 1919 to Hubert and Merle (DeBord) George at Monroe, Wash., where she grew up and received her early education. In 1935 she married Chuck Matheson in Monroe and they made their home in the Lake Stevens/Everett area.
In 1973 they moved to Omak where they purchased the Omak Paint and Glass, where they operated until their retirement in 1985. They then moved to Conconully and in 2000 they returned to East Wenatchee. In 2004 they moved to Cashmere.
A Funeral Service of Commemoration to Celebrate the Life of Donna C. Barrett was conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning, Feb. 20, 2007 in the Mausoleum Chapel on the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in East Wenatchee, with Pastor Alex Pfitzer, officiating.
Ward's Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, is in charge of the arrangements.

Goldie L. Benner
Tacoma
Goldie L. Benner, 88, passed away February 12, 2007 at Heartwood Extended Care Facility in Tacoma, Wash. She was born on February 5, 1919 to Elbert and Erma Purcell.
She worked for the Omak School District from 1968 until her retirement in 1981.
The family was very thankful for the loving care she received from Apple Assisted Living in Omak and Heartwood Extended Care in Tacoma.
A graveside service for Goldie L. Benner was held at the Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 1 p.m.
Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel was in charge of arrangement.

Esther J. Mischel
Everett
Esther J. Mischel, 77, of Everett, passed away on Jan. 22, 2007, at her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Steve’s home, where she resided, from a long illness due to cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Esther was born to William and Helen Syth in Sidney, Mont. She was the thirteenth child of 18 children.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Feb. 3, 2007, at Purdy and Walters with Cassidy; a reception followed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County, or The American Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements were by Purdy and Walters with Cassidy.

Judith M. (Barrows) Kincaid
Okanogan
Judith M. (Barrows) Kincaid, age 62, of Okanogan, died at home on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007 following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1944 in Clinton, Iowa, to Ross and Irene (Doescher) Barrows. She attended and graduated from Okanogan High School in 1962, in the mid-1960s she attended Seattle Community College studying child psychology, making the dean's list.
A memorial service will be held for Judie on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. at the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 1009 Senna Street, Omak, Wash., presiding will be Sam Holmes.
Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel, (509-787-2223) in Quincy assisted the family with arrangements.
