He is survived by his children Vickie (Glen), and Phil (Marcia); six grandchildren; sister Gabrielle; and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all.

Michael walked into the arms of his loving creator, joining others that have gone before him.

He leaves his wife Cheryl; son Seth; daughters Kayla, and Anneke (Michael); sister Sharon; brothers, Larry (Rosie), and Bruce; mother-in-law Pat Miser; brothers-in-law, Don, and Dave (Connie); aunts, Millie Johnson, Thelma and Delma Bosma, and Ann Miller; one nephew; five nieces; and several cousins.

He will be remembered as a big guy involved in activities as his children grew to young adults; sport activities, volunteering in school activities, scout assistant, dance supporter. He will be remembered for the graceful and exuberant dancing at the Seattle Folk Dances on Thursday nights. He will be remembered for serving his country in Germany and Saigon, serving as a police officer for 25 years, and until he was unable to work, as a carrier for the Everett Herald.

His family will be eternally grateful to the donor family who so unselfishly donated their loved one's heart upon death, that after waiting for 18 months, gave Michael another 14 months of life. We do not understand but we are not to question our creator.

We wish to thank Drs. Levy and O'Brien and the many nurses that cared for Michael these past few years. His eyes will be donated so that others might see. The family are advocates of organ donation and wish that memorials be made to Life Center Northwest of Bellevue or the Lions Eye Bank.
