Joseph Kennedy Fisher III
Oct. 1, 1929 -- May 7, 2006
Joseph Kennedy Fisher III died in his Sequim home of natural causes. He was 76.
He was born in Santa Monica, Calif., to Joseph Kennedy and Alice Arleene (Bertholf) Fisher Jr.
He earned his bachelor's degree in business at Oregon State College in 1951.
He married JoAnn Strange in Kelso on Oct. 7, 1951.
Mr. Fisher served as an ensign in the Coast Guard in Alameda, Calif., in 1952-54.
He then manufactured fishing rods in Santa Monica, Calif., and Lake Tahoe, Nev., before moving to Sequim.
Before he had several strokes, he enjoyed volunteering at Greywolf Elementary School and at Railroad Park.
He was a member of Church of Religious Science.
Survivors include his wife; son and daughter-in-law Joseph K. ``Ken" and Pamela Fisher IV of Port Angeles; daughters and sons-in-law Nancy Kay and Aaron Michael Schein of Las Vegas, Nev., and Susan Lynn and John Paul Richerts; brother and sister-in-law Walter James and Mary Fisher of Concord, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law Jean Suzanna and Richard Bendel of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Services: May 21, 11:30 a.m., celebration of life in Pioneer Park, Sequim. The Rev. Lynn Osborne will officiate.
Olympic Cremation Association, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials: Hospice of Clallam County, P.O. Box 2014, Port Angeles, WA 98362.

Lawrence Marvin Norkoski
July 12, 1914 -- May 6, 2006
Lawrence Marvin Norkoski of Port Angeles died of natural causes. He was 91.
Born in Sedro-Woolley to John Francis and Julia (Liske) Norkoski, he graduated from The Dalles High School, The Dalles, Ore., in 1932.
He married Margaret ``Betty" Wheeler in Centralia on Sept. 14, 1940.
Mr. Norkoski, who worked in the Sekiu and Hoko camps on the West End, was a master mechanic and supervisor for Rayonier Inc. logging operations from 1938 to 1979.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening.
Survivors include daughters Barbara Norkoski of Enumclaw and Lana Norkoski of Bremerton; brother and sister-in-law John F. and Mary Norkoski of Cosmopolis; sister Barbara Paist of Durfur, Ore.; sister-in-law Bernice Norkoski of Port Angeles; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services: Saturday, May 20, 1 p.m., memorial in Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Chapel, 105 W. Fourth St. Port Angeles. Donald Norkoski will officiate.
Graveside committal will be private.
Memorials: Charity of choice. The family requests no flowers.

DOLORES MARIE (LIGRE) (YOUNG) BEDDALL
Dolores was born March 14, 1921, in Tacoma, Washington.
She died May 8, 2006, in Bremerton, Washington.
She was a resident of Clallam County for 25 years, and previously in Seattle for 35 years.
Services: Tuesday, May 16, 11 a.m., at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Port Angeles, Washington.

TESSIE HAAG
Tessie Haag, daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend, passed away on May 10, 2006, in Olympia, Washington.
Tessie was born in Elgin, Oregon, on May 19, 1911, to Simon and Fannie (Jewell) Stone.
Tessie was the third of five siblings.
Her brothers, Leighton and Willard, and her sister, Vera, preceded her in death, as did her beloved husband, Edgar Karl, and daughter, Jeannette.
She is survived by her daughters Helen and Julie, their six children, and her 16 great-grandchildren. Her other family and friends will greatly miss her love and gentle countenance.
Tessie graduated from Seattle's Northwest Training School in 1933. Working for the United Methodist Church, she did social work, where she helped relocate families.
Her marriage to Edgar Karl Haag brought great friendship, deep love and shared learning. Commitments to family shaped their daily lives.
As one who viewed the cup ``half full, " she made those in her life feel special so that the ``seeds of love so gently planted will leave blossoms that will never fade."
Memorial services for Tessie will be held Friday, May 19, 2006, at 1 p.m., Mills & Mills Funeral Home, 5725 Littlerock Road S.W., Tumwater, Washington.
The family suggests memorials to the Edgar Karl Haag Scholarship Fund in care of the Port Angeles Kiwanis Club.

William D. Boyles
April 21, 1948 -- April 23, 2006
William D. Boyles of Sequim died in Olympic Medical Center, Port Angeles, two days after his 58th birthday.
Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.

John `Casey' McDannel
May 13, 1922 -- April 19, 2006
Former Port Angeles resident John ``Casey" McDannel of Bothell died of cancer in Evergreen Hospice at Kirkland. He was 83.
He was born in Anchorage, Alaska, to John D. and Mary (Davis) McDannel.
He served in the Navy during World War II, then after the war was employed as a conductor on the Alaska Railroad.
He lived in Port Angeles in 1973-2002.
He was a member of Alaska Yukon Pioneers and Pioneers of Alaska, as well as Elks Naval, Masonic, Scottish Rite and Shriners lodges.
He married his wife, Marie, in Melba, Idaho, on May 28, 1954.
In addition to his wife, survivors include son and daughter-in-law Steve and Ping McDannel; son John McDannel; daughter and son-in-law Dianne and Daniel Lassiter; sisters Helen Osborn and Mary Patterson; sister and brother-in-law Lucy and Gib Whitehead; and six grandchildren.
Services: Saturday, April 29, 2 p.m., memorial in Highland Community Center, 14224 Bel-Red Road, Bellevue. Burial will be in Tahoma National cemetery, 18600 SE 24th St., Kent.
Barton Family Funeral Service, Renton, was in charge of cremation.
Memorials: Evergreen Healthcare Cancer Center, 12040 NE 128th St., Kirkland, WA 98034.

Christine Candelaria Pruitt
Jan. 11, 1915 -- April 21, 2006
Christine Candelaria Pruitt died in her Port Angeles home. She was 91.
Services: Thursday, April 27, 11 a.m., funeral Mass in Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 209 W. 11th St., Port Angeles. Burial will follow in Ocean View cemetery, 3127 W. 18th St., Port Angeles.
Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.

Christine May Ratigan
May 25, 1916 -- April 20, 2006
Christine May Ratigan of Sequim died in Olympic Medical Center, Port Angeles. She was 89.

Sharon Paulette Scott
May 20, 1956 -- April 22, 2006
Sharon Paulette Scott died in her Sequim home. She was 49.

Janet F. Seward
April 3, 1924 -- April 19, 2006
Janet F. Seward of Sequim died in Olympic Medical Center, Port Angeles. She was 82.

Richard William Stevens
July 11, 1933 -- April 19, 2006
Richard William Stevens of Bremerton died of cancer in his home. He was 72.
He was born in Rhinelander, Wis., to William and Agnes (Fisher) Stevens.
He married Barbara Rolain in Tomahawk, Wis., on Feb. 26, 1955.
Mr. Stevens retired in Port Angeles from the Coast Guard cutter Campbell as a 26-year veteran of Navy and Coast Guard service.
He then had a second career in maintenance at East Park Navy Housing in Bremerton.
He was a member of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Fleet Reserve Association and Elks.
Survivors include his wife; son Jeffrey Stevens of San Diego; daughter Kay Stevens of Port Angeles; his mother of Chetek, Wis.; brother Gary Stevens of Shreveport, La.; sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Joe Boehm of Rice Lake; Wis.; three granddaughters and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father and great-granddaughter, Kelsey Williams.
Services: Saturday, April 29, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., celebration of life in Sylvan Pines Clubhouse, 3587 Sylvan Pines Way, Bremerton.
Tuell-McKee Funeral Home, Bremerton, was in charge of cremation.
Memorials: Donations to Hospice of Kitsap County, P.O. Box 3416, Silverdale, WA 98383. The family requests no flowers.
