Lisa K. Ericksen
June 2, 1969 -- July 30, 2005
Former Port Townsend resident Lisa K. Ericksen died in her Seattle home at age 36. Cause of death is pending.
She was born in Bremerton to Ralph and Linda (Cox) Ericksen and grew up in Poulsbo and Eglon.
Ms. Ericksen, who was employed in food service and credit counseling, lived and worked in Seattle, Bremerton, Port Townsend, Port Orchard and Alaska.
Ms. Ericksen's survivors include son Howdy Lee Dyche, who made his home with her; mother Linda Archer of Shoreline and father and stepmother Christal Ericksen of Port Townsend; sisters Jodi Ericksen of Seattle and Brenda Padilla of Malaga, Spain; and maternal grandmother Ruth Cox of Kenmore and paternal grandfather Leif Ericksen of Poulsbo.
Services: September memorial to be announced. Personal Alternatives of Kent is in charge of burial.
Memorials: The family requests no flowers, gifts or donations.

George Antone Fernandes
April 15, 1910 -- July 25, 2005
Pysht resident George Antone Fernandes died in Crestwood Convalescent Center, Port Angeles, of age-related causes. He was 95.
Born in Port Angeles to Antone D. and Gertrude (Stange) Fernandes, he lived on the family homestead his entire life.
He enjoyed hiking and making home movies, which included ``The Miracle of Sekiu, " about hummingbirds.
In addition to farming and writing short stories about the wilderness, the farm and families of Pysht, Mr. Fernandes was a trapper and taxidermist.
He was also a member of the Senior Center at Clallam Bay-Sekiu.
Mr. Fernandes is survived by brothers Albert of Clallam Bay and Paul of Port Angeles, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: Friday, Aug. 5, 2 p.m., graveside in Mount Angeles Memorial Park, U.S. Highway 101 and Monroe Road, Port Angeles. The Rev. Dan Ketchum of Clallam Bay Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.

Thomas Gordon Geach
Oct. 9, 1922 -- July 22, 2005
Thomas Gordon Geach died of age-related causes in Olympic Medical Center, Port Angeles, at age 82.
He was born to Thomas Richard and Amanda (Windham-Short) Geach in Grass Valley, Calif., where he graduated from high school in 1940.
He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942 and completed his enlistment, in 1946 as a gunnery sergeant serving on B-17 aircraft. Prior to his discharge, he was a gunnery instructor.
He continued to have a lifelong interest in B-17s.
Mr. Geach retired from the California transportation system as a highway maintenance supervisor on bridges and ferries in the Sacramento Delta.
He was a longtime resident of Dixon, Calif., then lived in Vacaville, Calif., before moving to Port Townsend, in 1989, and then to Sequim.
He was a member of the California State Employees Association and Port Townsend Elks Lodge as well as a former member of Escapees.
Mr. Geach is survived by his wife; son and daughter-in-law Gregory S. and Colleen Geach; daughter and son-in-law Karen Ann and Steven Aletto; and four grandchildren.
Services: Monday, Aug. 8, 2 p.m., graveside in Tahoma National cemetery, 18600 SE 24th St., Kent.

Marion A. Holbrook
Aug. 18, 1922 -- July 28, 2005
Port Townsend resident Marion A. Holbrook died in Harrison Hospital, Bremerton, at age 82.
Services: None. Kosec Funeral Home, Port Townsend, is in charge of cremation.

Eloise Kibbie
March 19, 1914 -- July 23, 2005
Port Townsend resident Eloise Kibbie died of heart failure at age 91.
She was born to George B and Lola May (Early) Perkins in Sac City, Iowa.
She married Warren E. Kibbie in Sac City on May 30, 1940. They later divorced.
She earned her bachelor's degree in journalism at the University of Iowa in 1936 and her master's degree in library science at the University of Denver in 1959.
She was employed by the newspaper, Sac City Sun, after graduating from the University of Iowa, then was asked to step in as interim librarian at Sac City Library in 1947, a position she held until 1958.
Mrs. Kibbie was head reference librarian at Central Missouri State University from 1959 to 1979, when she retired to Warrensburg, Mo.
She moved to Marrowstone Island in 1998, where she lived until she moved to Victoria House, Port Townsend, on Memorial Day of this year.
She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and the PEO Sisterhood as well as serving as a national officer in Daughters of the American Revolution and as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Kibbie enjoyed weaving, knitting, golfing, traveling and playing bridge.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Miriam ``Mimi" and Dr. Vern Starks of Nordland; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A brother, George E. Perkins, preceded her in death.
Services: Thursday, Aug. 4, 1 p.m., graveside service in Soundview cemetery, Marrowstone Island; then at 2 p.m., memorial and reception in First Presbyterian Church, 1111 Franklin St., Port Townsend. The Rev. Dr. Robert Slater will officiate.
Kosec Funeral Home, Port Townsend, is in charge of arrangements.

SCOTTY HALLER
July 17, 1938-July 29, 2005
Scotty Haller, a former Port Angeles resident, died after a long illness in Aberdeen on July 29, 2005.
Scotty was known to many in this area for his love of mud Jeeping, ham radio, cooking, camping and his big generous heart.
His jokes and stories were legendary, his love for family and friends constant.
He fought the good battle, and now he is walking and talking with his ``new" old friends.
There will be a remembrance for friends and family at Tongue Point on Saturday, August 6, at 4-7 p.m.

CONNIE LAWRENCE
May 15, 1925-July 29, 2005
Ahhhmen! Boy, did we love her!
Luckily, before she died she managed to travel the world, teach the children (to open their world), love the animals and cherish her family and friends.
She often said she was the ``luckiest old biddy in the world."
As Frau reflected on her adventures through life, she would talk of her death, matter of factly and unafraid.
At one time she pictured herself falling off a cliff. As the years passed and the exotic trips became less frequent, she hoped to go in her sleep.
She got her wish! And for that, and for her, we are grateful.
A Celebration of Connie's Life will be held Thursday, August 4th, 11 a.m., at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Ann I. Michlidge
Feb. 28, 1920 -- July 17, 2005
Sequim resident Ann I. Michlidge died of renal failure in Olympic Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was 85.
She was born in Winfield, Ala., to Ruben B. and Ruth O. (Dillard) Dodson.
She married Harold Michlidge in Seattle in 1958.
Mrs. Michlidge, who was employed in several Alaska schools, moved to Sequim upon her husband's retirement in 1975.
She enjoyed writing poetry, reading, animals and cooking.
Mrs. Michlidge is survived by her daughter, Judy Ann Hanson, and four grandchildren.
Her husband died Aug. 17, 1980.
Services: Aug. 24, 1 p.m., celebration of life in Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel, 108 W. Alder St. Inurnment will be in Tacoma cemetery.
Memorials: Shrine Children's Hospital Burn Unit, c/o Seattle Nile Temple, 500 NE 205th, Edmonds, WA 98020.

Malcolm Millar
May 11, 1928 -- July 28, 2005
Malcolm Millar of Sequim died at Harrison Memorial Hospital of natural causes at age 77.
Mr. Millar was born to Frederic and Adelaide Nathalie (Jackson) Millar in Greenfield Park, Quebec.
He married Bernice Barton in Greenfield Park on Nov. 11, 1950.
Mr. Millar was employed as a training director for GTE, formerly General Telephone and Electronics, in Santa Monica, Calif., and division manager for the company in Yucca Valley, Calif.
He enjoyed playing hockey and tennis, swimming and reading. He was a private pilot.
Mr. Millar was a member of the Episcopal Church; Masonic Lodge of St. Lambert, Quebec; Toastmasters of Ontario, Calif.; Elks Lodge and Coast Guard Auxiliary, both of Sequim; past president of the Lions Club of Upland, Calif.; and past president of the Claremont (Calif.) Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife of Sequim; sons Frederick Millar of Port Angeles, Barton Millar of Los Angeles, and Robert Millar and Gorton Millar, both of Vancouver, Wash.; and 10 grandchildren.
Services: Tuesday, 11 a.m., St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim. Cremation was performed in Bremerton by Tuell-McKee Funeral Home.
Memorials: Salvation Army, P.O. Box 2229, Port Angeles, WA 98362.

Evelyn Yvette Morgison
Dec. 21, 1921 -- July 27, 2005
Sequim resident Evelyn Yvette Morgison died in Seattle of complications from heart surgery at age 83.
She was born to John and Adeline (Trudeau) Wicks in Port Angeles, where she grew up.
She married Billie Carl Morgison in Hutchinson, Kan., on Sept. 23, 1946.
The Morgisons also lived in Dodge City, Kan., before moving to Sequim in 1967.
She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Mrs. Morgison particularly enjoyed the desert and regularly wintered in Arizona and California.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Dennis and Darlene Morgison of Port Angeles and Gary and Maureen Morgison of Sequim; daughter Debbie Morgison of California; daughter and son-in-law Gail and Walt Stender of Kelso; brothers Gordon Johnson of Port Angeles and Len Johnson of Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brother Norman Johnson and sisters Susan Boland and Florene Thornell.
Services: Monday, Aug. 1, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., visitation in Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel, 108 W. Alder St., Sequim.
Graveside committal Monday, Aug. 1., 3 p.m., in Mount Angeles Memorial Park, U.S. Highway 101 and Monroe Road, Port Angeles. Chaplain Dennis Niva will officiate.
An open house at 978 W. Sequim Bay Road, Sequim, will follow.
