Triplett, Kelly Maureen Sunday, 13 Apr 2003
Kelly Maureen Triplett, 34, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 13, 2003. She was born on Dec. 28, 1968 in Silver Springs, Md., to James and Bonnie (Randolph) Triplett.
She graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard in 1987 and was an airlines security supervisor in Orlando, Fla., for three years. She loved animals and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her parents James and Bonnie Triplett; brother James F. Triplett IV and his wife Amy of Bellingham, Wash.; sisters Terry Triplett of Florida, Bonnie Triplett of Minnesota, Dorothy Schander-Triplett and her husband Ted of Arizona; niece Katherine Schander-Triplett; and grandmother Frederica Randolph of Maryland.
A memorial was held on Friday, April 18, 2003, at Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.

Jensen, Orville Saturday, 12 Apr 2003
Orville Jensen, 84, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 12, 2003 at Stafford Suites in Port Orchard.
He was born on May 15, 1918, in Leader, Minn. to George and Elsie (Rouse) Jensen.
He married Hattie (Klapel) Jensen on Sept. 15, 1951, in Minneapolis, Minn.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946 during World War II as a carpenter's mate first class. He started as a carpenter and ended his career after 30 years as a construction manager with Adolphson & Peterson General Contractors in Minneapolis.
He enjoyed woodworking and reading and was a member of Life Center in Tacoma.
He is survived by his wife Hattie Jensen; son Ken Jensen and his wife Julianne of Port Orchard; sister Esther Donathan of Calif.; and his granddaughter Gloria Jensen.
Services were held on Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center and interment was held at Tahoma National cemetery on Friday, April 18, 2003.
Arrangements were made by Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Kimble, John W. Saturday, 12 Apr 2003
John W. Kimble, 87, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 12, 2003, at Life Care Center of Auburn.
He was born in Adams, Ohio on July 16, 1915, to Earl and Clarissa (Bennett) Kimble. He married Irene (Bell) Kimble on Dec. 31, 1935. She preceded him in death in 2000.
He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 2000. He served in the U.S. Navy in 1945 as a Seaman 2nd Class. After the Navy, he worked at PSNS in the foundry for four years. He was a carpenter and a 50-year member of the Bremerton Carpenters Union Local 1597.
He was an avid archer and belonged to the Olympic Archery Club and taught archery to teens at Manchester in the 1950s. He also belonged to the American Legion in Port Orchard.
He is survived by his sons Jack Kimble and his wife Carol of Spokane and David Kimble and his wife Sandy of Vernon, B.C., Canada; daughter Virginia Whalen and her husband Ronald of Omak, Wash.; sister Nellie Pinneck of Seattle; and 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Chuck Kimble and his sister Ruth Lohnes.
A private funeral service will be held. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard. Arrangements were handled by Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Willock, Sandra V. Saturday, 12 Apr 2003
Sandra Willock, Olalla resident
Sandra V. Willock, 54, a resident of Olalla, died April 12, 2003. She was born on March 12, 1949, in Bremerton to Harrison and Dundee (Howard) Brooks. She married Jerome P. Willock on May 22, 1981.
She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1967. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Jerry P. Willock; father and stepmother Harrison and Caroline Brooks of Yuma, Ariz.; stepsons Steven Willock and wife Sharon of the California Bay Area and Marshall Willock of Gig Harbor; daughters Kim Smith and husband Jason of Olalla, Carla MacDiarmid and husband Neil of Port Orchard and stepdaughter Veronica Moon and husband Don of Gig Harbor; brother Larry Brooks and wife Lori of Port Orchard; sisters Jeanie Hume and husband Gordon of London, England, and Diana Wallauer and husband Russ of Chicago, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Dundee Brooks.
Visitation was April 17, followed by funeral services at Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Graveside services were at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.

Bonner-Olsen-Freeman, Ethel M. Wednesday, 09 Apr 2003
Ethel M. Bonner-Olsen-Freeman, 70, a Sequim resident, died April 9, 2003.
She was born in Seattle on Aug. 18, 1932 to George and Lorretta (Murphy) Bonner.
She graduated from North Kitsap High School and later attended Olympic College.
She worked as a shaklee coordinator and volunteer at the senior center in Sequim.
She enjoyed genealogy, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed participating in activities at the senior center.
She is survived by her sons David Olsen, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Port Orchard, George Olsen and his wife Doris of Rochester, Wash., Loren Olsen and his wife Karen of Port Orchard and James Freeman of Bremerton; her daughters Sheree Baum and husband Rocky of Provo, Utah, Tamra Burgh of Port Orchard and Karla Johnson and husband J.J. of Port Orchard; her sister Carol Dore of Seattle; also 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by David Olsen, Sr. and her granddaughter Kamille Mae Johnson.
Her funeral and graveside service was held at Rill Chapel on Monday. Interment was at Kingston cemetery later that day.

McMillen, Evelyn Wednesday, 09 Apr 2003
Evelyn Merleen McMillen, 73, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 9, 2003 in Bremerton.
She was born to Clark Leroy Gillham and Mayme Mae (Whittaker) Gillham on Feb. 18, 1930 in Santa Ana, Calif.
She is survived by her husband Jacob McMillen, Jr., also a Port Orchard resident. They married on Oct. 4, 1953 in Santa Ana.
She graduated from Garden Grove High School in Garden Grove, Calif. in 1948.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed cake decorating, cooking for youth group retreats, traveling, sewing and flower arranging.
She was a member of Navy Yard City Bible Church.
She is survived by her sons Matthew McMillen and his wife Stacie of Port Orchard and Martin Leroy McMillen of Tacoma; her daughter Cynthia McMillen of Port Orchard; her sisters Eileen Biell and her husband Al of Kirkland and Kathleen Byerly and her husband Jay of Bothell; also her grandchildren Charlotte, Laura, Rachel, Zanna, Karissa, Tyler and Nicholas.
A memorial service will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. at Navy Yard City Bible Church.
Donations in her name to the Navy Yard City Bible Church may be made in lieu of flowers.

VanAmen, Linda Rae Wednesday, 09 Apr 2003
Linda Rae VanAmen, 53, a Port Orchard resident, died April 9, 2003 at home. She was born to Viola Smith on May 12, 1949 in Las Vegas, N.M.
She is survived by her husband, Theodorus “Dale” VanAmen, also a Port Orchard resident. They married on Nov. 9, 1979 in Seattle.
She graduated from Garfield High School in Los Angeles, Calif. in 1967. She graduated from Los Angeles Community College in 1969.
She worked as the head accountant for Associated Growers for 18 years. She loved to gamble and enjoyed traveling with her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by her son Gerald L. VanAmen and her brother Donald Smith of Auburn; also her grandchildren Jorden, Chandler and Nolan.
The visitation and funeral service was held April 13 at Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Wilson, Adam Wednesday, 09 Apr 2003
Adam Troy Dorow Wilson, 38, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 9, 2003, in Sioux Falls, S.D.
He was born on Dec. 18, 1964, in Redlands, Calif., to Mickey Carle Dorow and Mary Frances Adams Dorow Smith.
He worked as a drywall finisher. He loved fishing for steelhead and king salmon in the Forks and other nearby rivers.
He is survived by his sister Michele Carlene Dorow Daumen and his parents.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28 at Louis Chapel.

Wolfe, John Sunday, 06 Apr 2003
John C. Wolfe, 72, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 6, 2003, at Port Orchard Care Center.
He was born on Aug. 19, 1930, in Anamosa, Iowa, to Pete and Ida Wolfe.
His wife, Margaret (Williams) Wolfe, preceded him in death in 1989.
He served six years in the U.S. Marines. He was a bartender and drove a school bus for South Kitsap School district and loved to drive the high school football team to away games on Friday nights.
He was also a welder at PSNS for 15 years. He was a volunteer at Ridgemont Terrace, was active in youth sports and enjoyed watching his grandsons in T-ball and soccer.
He enjoyed golfing and was a Golden Gloves boxer in the Marines. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons Dan Wolfe and Russell Wolfe, both of Port Orchard; daughter Rebecca Harness of Port Orchard; one brother; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center on Friday, April 11, 2003.
Arrangements were handled by Rill Chapel.
Memorial donations can be made to South Kitsap Southern Little League.

Jesfield, Bennie Wednesday, 02 Apr 2003
Bennie A. Jesfield, 93, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 2, 2003.
He was born on March 1, 1910, in Lodgepole, S.D., to Austin and Christine (Enervold) Jesfield. He married Barbara Faith (Jennewein) Jesfield in Baker, Mont., on July 30, 1940. She preceded him in death in 1971.
He grew up ranching in Baker, Mont., until he became a carpenter in 1950. He was a contractor and carpenter in Billings, Mont., and Belfair for 35 years.
He retired in 1985.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing and cooking and was a Christian.
He is survived by his sons Jim and Judy Jesfield of Belfair and LeRoy and Wanda Jesfield of Fallbrook, Calif.; daughters Phyllis and Jerry Page of Bremerton, Chris Wright of University Place, Sylvia and Craig Steen of Darwin, Australia, and Kandis and Art McCandless of Belfair; brother Austine Steen of Baker, Mont.; and 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his twin sister Christine Mengel and sister Minnie Arnoldt.
A private graveside service was heald at Twin Firs cemetery in Belfair.
Arrangements were made by Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.
