Enersen, Thomas Sunday, 25 Jan 2004
Thomas Enersen, retired machinist
Thomas H. Enersen, 63, a resident of Port Orchard, died Jan. 25, 2004.
He was born in Cordova, Alaska, to Carl Andrew and Nellie (Williams) Enersen. He married Rosita in Washington, D.C.
He graduated from West Seattle High School in 1959 and attended the University of Washington.
He worked as a machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 20-plus years.
He retired in 1993.
He was a member of the Puget Sound Mycological Society, the Kitsap Peninsula Mycological Society, the Kitsap Poggie Club, Kitsap County Shrine Club, Port Orchard Lodge No. 98, Bremerton Sons of Norway Lodge and Scottish Rite. He attended St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Rosita; father Carl Enersen; mother Nellie Schultz of Des Moines; brother Bill Enersen of Normandy Park; and a niece and a nephew.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
Arrangements were handled by Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Kraft, Howard Thursday, 12 Feb 2004
Howard Palmer Kraft, 83, a resident of Port Orchard, died Feb. 12, 2004.
He was born on May 16, 1920, in Seattle to Vincent and Blanche (Palmer) Kraft.
He married A. Jean (Raynes) Kraft on June 18, 1949, in Seattle.
He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1938 and from the University of Washington.
He worked as a mechanical engineer for Boeing Co. for 38 years. He retired in 1982.
He was a member of the Port Orchard United Methodist Church, Double Ringers of Seattle First United Methodist Church, Roosevelt Golden Grads Association, and a charter member of the Museum of Flight.
He is survived by his wife A. Jean Kraft; daughters Shirley Shakarian of Mountlake Terrace, Marlene Weaver of Edmonds, Linda Panzel of Edmonds and Anita Alger of Reno, Nev.; brother Robert A. Kraft of Hillsborough, Calif.; sister Marian Eberhart of Bellevue, Calif.; and grandchildren Ben, Kelsey, Mikaela, C.J. and Katrina.
A memorial service will be held at the Port Orchard United Methodist Church on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m., followed by inurnment.
Arrangements were handled by Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.
Memorial donations can be made to Kraft Memorial, Port Orchard United Methodist Church, 725 Kitsap St., Port Orchard, WA 98366-5323.
Memorials will be given to Camp Indianola United Methodist Church Camp.

Mydske, Wynona Friday, 02 Apr 2004
Wynona Mydske, 78, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 2, 2004. She was born on March 4, 1926, in Winifred, Kan., to Oscar and Mary (Beaudry) Tinsley. Her husband, John Mydske, preceded her in death in 1995.
She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1944.
She worked as a shipfitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 19 years.
She enjoyed Kitsap Singles, AARP and traveling.
She is survived by her companion Donald L. Taylor of Bremerton; sons Stephen Mydske and wife April of Port Orchard and Doug Mydske of Port Orchard; and grandchildren Geri Mydske, Brian Mydske and wife Jennifer of Port Orchard and Tracy Mydske of Bremerton and four great-grandchildren.
Inurnment was at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Hartman, Shirley Thursday, 01 Apr 2004
Shirley Mae Hartman, 55, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 1, 2004, at Swedish Medical Center.
She was born on Dec. 10, 1948, in Vancouver, Wash., to Lloyd and Eunice (Weaver) Hagedon.
She married Gregory L. Hartman on Feb. 12, 1993, in Seattle.
She graduated from LaCenter High School in LaCenter and from Green River Community College.
She worked in transportation sales in the Seattle area for 20 years.
She was an avid golfer and a member and officer at McCormick Woods Womens’ Club. She enjoyed playing cards and following the Seattle Mariners. She was a former member and vice president of the Tacoma Transportation Club.
She is survived by her husband Gregory L. Hartman of Port Orchard; sons Brian Avery of Des Moines and Gregory and wife Barbara Avery of Moreno Valley, Calif.; brothers Kenneth Hagedorn of Randle, Rick Hagedorn of Thompson Falls, Mont. and Randy Hagedorn of West Lynn, Ore.; and grandchildren Rebeca Avery and Sara Avery of Moreno Valley, Calif.
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 9, 2004, at Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Sullivan, Joseph Thursday, 01 Apr 2004
Joseph E. Sullivan, 64, of Tacoma died April 1, 2004.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1939, in Socorro, N.M., to Harry and Lucille (Anaya) Sullivan.
He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1958.
He retired from the National Guard after 31 years and from the YMCA after eight years.
He was commodore of Tacoma Outboard Association in 1992 and president of Northwestern Boating Council in 1996, a member of CCBOI, the Elks and Eagles.
He loved boating, fishing, camping, traveling, and games of chance.
He is survived by his wife Margie; son Chuck and wife Marianna; daughters Terrie and Cindy her husband Ron; grandchildren Jessie, Kaylee, jamie, Kohl and Carson; mother Lucille, sister Louella and husband Bob Houston and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry and sister Ada Price.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 10, 2004, at 5 p.m. at Tacoma Outboard Association, 646 Wilton, Tacoma.
Memorial donations may be made to Group Health Hospice, 1730 Minor Ave., Ste. 1500, Seattle, WA 98101.

Dennison-Hembd, Konnor Thursday, 01 Apr 2004

Konnor Lucas Dennison-Hembd, three months, five days, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 1, 2004.
He was born in Silverdale on Dec. 26, 2003, to Lawrence Hembd and Wendi Dennison.
He is survived by his parents; brothers Walter and Liam; grandparents Leonard and Mary Hembd of Port Orchard, Leland Wendall Dennison of Columbus, Ga., and Virginia M. Dennison-Fowler of Port Orchard.
He was preceded in death by his aunt Charla K. Dennison and great-grandmother Ruth M. Funk.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center. Inurnment was at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Ingwaldson, Dennis Thursday, 01 Apr 2004
Dennis ‘D.J.’ Ingwaldson, 40 of Port Orchard
Dennis John (D.J.) Ingwaldson, 40, a Port Orchard resident, died April 1, 2004.
He was born on July 6, 1963, in Mount Vernon to Terry and Dennis Ingwaldson. He graduated from Evergreen of Seattle in 1981.
He enjoyed cooking and hosting barbecues and his family. He was involved with the youth of White Center.
He is survived by his daughters Tawny and Courtney; parents Dennis and Terry Ingwaldson; sister Tamra Ingwaldson; two nieces, brother Jay Ingwaldson and his family; grandmother Gladys Smith; grandfather Derry Smith; aunt Debbie Jo Frankele; and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins throughout Washington, Nevada, California, North Dakota, Iowa and Texas.
A memorial was held on Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Start, 11216 16th Ave. SW, Seattle, WA 98416.

Brockett, Earl Wednesday, 31 Mar 2004
Earl A. Brockett, 92, died on March 31, 2004, at Mary and Martha Health Care Center in Poulsbo.
He was born on Sept. 25, 1911, in Hartsville, Tenn., to Oscar H. and Minnie D. (Gross) Brockett.
He graduated from Hartsville (Tenn.) High School in 1929 and married Alyce Berger in May 1939 in Tijuana, Mexico.
He served 30 years, from 1929 to 1959, in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of lieutenant commander. He served in World War II, the Korean War and Viet Nam on aircraft carriers, destroyers and, for 20 years, submarines.
Following his retirement from the Navy, he worked as a real estate broker and operated his own appraisal company until 1987.
He was a member of the Retired Officers Association, the Shriners and Masons, and several professional real estate associations.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and operated a beefalo ranch in Port Angeles.
He was a member of Vinland Lutheran Church of Poulsbo.
He is survived by his wife; sons Terry Brockett and wife Carol of Curtice, Ohio, Bruce Brockett and wife Donna of Eagle River, Alaska, and Ralph Brockett and wie Penni of Port Angeles; grandchildren Ted, Alan, Mitch, Dannah, Jennifer, Glenn, Brent and Loni Brockett; and brother Oscar Brockett, of Austin, Texas.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter Megan Brockett in 1995.
Funeral services were held on April 5, followed by burial at The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo.
