Noerenberg, Frances Saturday, 15 May 2004
Frances N. Noerenberg, 84, a Port Orchard resident, died May 15, 2004. She was born on Oct. 12, 1919, in Ruff to Roy and Maud (Wetzel) Stoudt.
She married Russell W. Noerenberg in Nov. 12, 1943 in Seattle. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She graduated from Leavenworth High School in Leavenworth in 1938 and attended Griffin Murphy Business College in Seattle.
She worked in food service in the South Kitsap School District from 1965 to 1983.
She loved to travel, especially with the “Fun On Wheels” RV Club, loved sports and was a Mariner fan and traveled to Peoria many times for spring training. She was a member of the Jenny Miller Orthepedic Guild and Soroptimist International of Port Orchard.
She is survived by her son Bill Noerenberg of Port Orchard; daughter DeeDee McKinnon and her husband Kip of Port Orchard; and grandchildren Jeremy Noerenberg, Brandi Pivar and her husband Michael, Lindsey McKinnon and Kyle McKinnon.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, at First Christian Church.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Rivas, Jo Friday, 14 May 2004
Jo E. Rivas, 68, a Port Orchard resident, died May 14, 2004, at Life Care Center in Port Orchard.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1935, in Montebello, Calif., to Richard and Viola (Callaway) Bender.
She married Jess Rivas in Las Vegas in 1955.
She graduated from Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, Calif. in 1953.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Jess Rivas of Port Orchard; sons Tony Rivas and his wife Heidi of Olympia and Joel Rivas and his wife Amy of Gig Harbor; daughters Kim Kitabjian and her husband Dan of Murietta, Calif. and Anna Nanfito and her husband Tim of Olalla; brothers Jim Bender of Anahiem, Calif. and John Bender of Huntington Beach, Calif.; sisters Bobbie Anderson of Roseville, Calif., Margaret Bickford of Long Beach, Calif. and Rachael Anderson of Port Orchard; and grandchildren Renee, Linda, Kylie, Sarah, Laura, Megan, Benicio, and Carlos and great-grandchildren Christofer, Annaluka, Nolan, Sammy, Micah, Timothy and Hannah.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Don, Paul and Chuck and sister Mary.
A graveside service was held on Friday, May 21, at Fraola cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Hanenburg, Terrell Friday, 14 May 2004
Terrell “Terry” J. Hanenburg, of Port Orchard, died at his home on May 14, 2004.
He was 55.
He was born on Feb. 8. 1949, to Ted and Jeanette (DeJong) Hanenburg.
He attended Southwest Christian High School in Edgerton and received a bachelor’s degree from Dordt College in Sioux City, Iowa.
He was a self-employed painter. He enjoyed gardening, music and was an avid reader and history buff.
He is survived by his parents Ted and Jeanette Hanenburg of Edgerton, Minn.; brother Jay Hanenburg (and wife Betty) of Lynden; sisters Mary Lubben (and husband Warren) of Port Orchard and Beth Spronk (and husband Randy) of Edgerton, Minn.; nieces Jesi Anderson, Jeanette Lubben, Amy Henenburg and Caitlin Spronk; and nephews Eric Hanenburg and Seth Spronk.
A tribute service was held on May 22 in Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Bancroft, Hertha Sunday, 09 May 2004
Hertha Margaret Willock Bancroft, 87, a resident of Fragaria, died May 9, 2004.
She was born on Oct. 5, 1916, in Fragaria to Marshall and Rose (Parkhurst) Willock.
She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1935 and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Washington in 1940.
She worked at Farrells Pharmacy from 1940 until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her sons Brian and Steve Bancroft; grandchildren Kari, Casey, Echo and Amber and her great-grandchildren Bryanna, Gibson, Jesse, Brian, Jillian and Isaiah.
A celebration of her life will be held at the family homestead in Fragaria on May 30, 2004.
Arrangements were handled by Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Lutheran Social Services.

Wladika, Marjorie Tuesday, 22 Feb 2005
Marjorie Augusta Wladika of Port Orchard died on Feb. 22, 2005.
She was 88.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1916, in Wilkes-Barre, Penn., and lived in California, Florida and Washington.
She enjoyed traveling, collecting thimbles, bells and figurines.
She was a 20-year member of Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS).
She is survived by husband Michael Wladika; daughters Sandra Asikainen of Seattle and Bonnie Sue Dossche of Royal Oaks, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
A celebration of life ceremony was held at her home on March 3.
Rememberances can be made to Friends of the Library in Port Orchard.

Roberts, Leona Saturday, 26 Feb 2005
Leona Roberts, of Port Orchard, died on Feb. 26, 2005, at Belmont Terrace in Bremerton.
She was 97.
She was born on April 22, 1907, in Oronogo, Mo., to Covey and Sophia (Sutton) Wright.
She married Oral Roberts on May 21, 1945, in Pittsburg, Kansas.
She worked as an invoice clerk for J.C. Penney Co. in Pittsburg, Kansas, before transferring to Seattle.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, dinner parties and entertaining.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bremerton.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982; brother Roy Wright; and sister Ceola West.
Burial was at Woodlawn cemetery in Bremerton.

Nall, Dave Saturday, 26 Feb 2005
Dave Nall, of Belfair, died on Feb. 26, 2005, in Seattle.
He was 68.
He was born on May 1, 1936, in Ashford, Ala., to James D. and Mary Lou (Gunter) Nall.
He married Vianna Russert on Nov. 28, 1959, in San Diego, Calif.
He graduated from high school in Belle Glade, Fla., at attended Olympic College and San Diego State University.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1973 as a Seabee, seeing action in Vietnam.
He later worked as a heavy equipment operator for Johnson Controls and the Annapolis Water District before his retirement in 1999.
He enjoyed golf, fishing and RVing. He was a member of the Lions Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and served on the church council at Christ Lutheran Church in Belfair.
He is survived by wife Vianna Nal of Belfair; mother Mary Lou Martin of Fort McCoy, Fla.; sons David Nall of Port Orchard, Jamie Nall of Bainbridge, Richard Lemar of Belfair; brothers Wesley, Timothy and Phillip Nall and James and Kenneth Martin; sisters Bessie Carswell, Kathy Robinson and Carole Nall; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service with military honors was held at Christ Lutheran Church in Belfair on March 3, with a private inurnment following.

Morgan, Joseph Saturday, 26 Feb 2005
Joseph Howard Morgan, a resident of the Washington State Veteran’s Home at Retsil, died on March 1, 2005.
He was 86.
He was born on Feb. 26, 1919, in Irwin, Iowa, to Joesph and Elizabeth Ann (Paden) More.
He graduated from Albert Lea (Minn.) in 1938.
He served for 16 years in the U.S. Navy, seeing action during World War II and the Korean War.
He later worked as a rigger at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and as a tugboat captain.
He was a member of the Bremerton VFW.
He enjoyed fishing and motorcycles.
He is survived by sister Bonnie (and husband Tony) Hanson of Covington.
He was preceded in death by sister Monja Waldron.
Visitation will be held at Rill Funeral Home’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard from 2 to 4 p.m. on March 6,
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on March 8 at Tahoma National cemetery.
