A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 29,
2007 at 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in
Waupaca. Reverend Dr. Charles L. Tews will
officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday
from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca
following the services on Saturday. In lieu of
flowers, a memorial has been established in Fritz’s
name. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is
assisting the family with arrangements.

JOHN W. FRITZ

WAUPACA, WISCONSIN

Age 71 passed away on Wednesday, September 26,
2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI.
He was born September 21, 1936 in Toledo, OH; son
of Russell and Winnie (McCutchson) Fritz. On
July 29, 1968, John married Barbara Lund in
Dubuque, IA. Fritz was a professional rodeo man
for 10 years before becoming an over-the-road
truck driver for 47 years.

Fritz is survived by:

Children: Nancy Reetz of Stevens Point, WI

Sandy (William) Abraham of Waupaca, WI

James (Velonnie) Fritz of Waupaca, WI

Keith Anderson of Waupaca, WI

Kelly Cook of Waupaca, WI

Ken Fritz of South Carolina

14 Grandchildren

4 Great-Grandchildren

Sister: Frances O’Hara of Tavares, FL

He was preceded in death by his parents and a
son, Rick Sorenson.

A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September
29, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in
Waupaca. Reverend Dr. Charles L. Tews will
officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday
from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home.

Leland Skoglund

Residence: Mount Vernon, MO

June 21, 1925 - September 13, 2007
Services: St. Paul's Lutheran Church-Amherst

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September
29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church, Amherst with the Rev. Chris Schwanz
officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until
the time of service. Burial will be at Greenwood
cemetery, Amherst with military rites.
Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting
the family with the arrangements.

Leland W. Skoglund, 82, of Mt. Vernon, MO died
Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Missouri
Veteran’s Home in Mt. Vernon.

Leland was born in rural Amherst on June 21,
1925, the son of Carl and Emma (Damrau) Skoglund.
He graduated from Amherst High School in 1943.
Leland served in the U.S. Navy during World War
II on the USS Mirth and the USS Shenandoah.
Following his discharge, he attended the
Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield,
IL. He later moved to Joplin, MO and worked for
Sperry Vickers. He also worked in maintenance
for the Joplin schools and served as an auxiliary
police officer for the Joplin Police Department.
He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran
Church in Joplin.

Leland was an avid Packer fan, bowler, fisherman
and golfer. He loved to travel and had a
wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly
missed by his sister and family.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Skoglund, Mt.
Vernon, five stepchildren, and one sister,
Lorraine Pagel, Almond. He is further survived
by one niece, SuAnn Pagel-Rast (Gary Rast),
Almond and two nephews, Timothy (Marcie) Pagel,
Neenah and Thomas (Connie) Pagel, Madison. He is
also survived by two grandnieces, three
grandnephews, one aunt, Francis Damrau, Grafton,
and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother,
stepfather, Rufus Powers, and brother-in-law,
Lyle Pagel.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday,
September 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church, Amherst with the Rev. Chris
Schwanz officiating. Friends may call from 10
a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be
at Greenwood cemetery, Amherst with military
rites. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is
assisting the family with the arrangements.

Arnold J. Uttke

Residence: Waupaca

Services: St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community-Waupaca

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene
Catholic Community at 11 AM on Monday, October 1st,
with Father Brian Belongia officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday 10-11 A.M. at St.
Mary Magdalene Catholic Community. Entombment will
be in the St. Adalbert's cemetery in Milwaukee at
11 AM on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007. Visitation
will be from 10-11 AM at the cemetery chapel. Meet
at office for directions.

Arnold J. Uttke, age 73, Waupaca, passed away
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007 at his
residence.

Mr. Uttke was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on
November 1, 1933, he was the son of the late
Rudolf and Josephine (Jaszewski) Uttke.

On Feb 23, 1957, he married Pat Ramsdell at
Immaculate Conception Church in Bayview,
Wisconsin

He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic
Community in Waupaca. Arnold served in the
United States Air Force during the Korean War for
38 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing,
hunting, ice fishing and spending time with his
family.

He is survived by Wife: Pat Uttke, Waupaca;
Children: Michael R. (Sharon) Uttke, Necedah, WI;
Anne M (Donald) Fabish, Cudahy; David J. (Susan)
Uttke, West Allis; Brother: Jerome Uttke,
Milwaukee; Sister: Delores Kolman, Oak Creek;
Sisters in law: Eva Brooks, Wabeno, WI; Grace
Adams, Laona, WI; Barbara Ramsdell, Florida;
Brother in law: Paul Lavota, Cudahy.
Grandchildren: Patti Uttke, Erin Uttke, Nicholas
Fabish, Kelly Uttke & Jacob Uttke. He is also
survived by many many nieces and nephews other
relatives and great friends. He was preceded in
death by a brother: Rudolf (Sylvia) Uttke,
sisters in law: Lorraine Uttke, Lois Lavota;
Ruth (Bill) Deede, Wilma (Rudolf) Christianson,
brothers in law: Steven Kolman, Gorman Brooks,
Norris Adams, Harvey (Irene) Ramsdell, Pete
(Jane) Ramsdell, Orville (Josephine) Ramsdell,
Marvin (Myra) Ramsdell & William Ramsdell.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene
Catholic Community at 11 AM on Monday, October

BLOCK, SANDRA K. “SANDI”

WAUPACA, WI

Age 59 – died on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at
the Appleton Medical Center in Appleton, WI. She
was born on December 13, 1947 in Waupaca, a
daughter of Clair and Gail (Braun) Moore. She
married Robert Block on August 10, 1974 in the
Township of Dayton, Waupaca County, WI.

Sandi is survived by her husband: Robert Block,
two daughters: Mindy Block of Waupaca, WI, and
her children: Keenan Miles, Justice Miles, and
Sydney Ciura, and Marci (Rick) Spaulding of
Waupaca, WI, their son: Gabriel, and a son to be
born in December, her mother: Gail Moore of
Franklin, WI, three sisters: Shirley (Richard)
Koehler of Franklin, WI, Bonnie Moore of
Franklin, WI, and Mary Moore of Madison, WI,
three brothers: William (Sandy) Moore of Menasha,
WI, Robert (Geri) Moore of Greenville, IL, and
Mike Moore of Madison, WI. She is further
survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and
friends. She was preceded in death by her father:
Clair Moore, and a sister: Barbara Jean Moore.

Sandi had been employed with the former
Moore-O-Matic Company in Waupaca for thirty
years. She then worked at the Village Inn Motel
in Waupaca for the last six years. Sandi enjoyed
her time with her family and loved taking care of
her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the Holly
Funeral Home in Waupaca on Monday, October 1,
2007 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in the Rural
cemetery, Township of Dayton, Waupaca County.
Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in
Waupaca on Monday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The
Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the
family with arrangements.
