Lutheran Church on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at
11:00 AM, with Reverend Mark Sabin, officiating.
Interment will be in the Sheridan Village cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning
from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The Jungers-Holly Funeral
Home of Amherst, WI is assisting the family with
arrangements.

PIPE, NINA E.

WAUPACA, WI (FORMERLY OF AMHERST, WI)

Age 91 – died on Friday, September 14, 2007 at
Harbor House in Wausau, WI. She was born on
December 28, 1915 in the Township of Lanark,
Portage County, WI, a daughter of the late
Christian and Boletta (Kraig) Lawrence. She
married William E. “Bud” Pipe on December 28,
1943 in Scandinavia, WI. He preceded her in death
on July 7, 1998.

Nina is survived by her children: Elizabeth
(Donald) Hansen of Amherst, Marie (Richard) Yohn
of Waupaca, and Douglas (Diane) Pipe of Prairie
Du Sac, seven grandchildren: Jeffrey (Sandra)
Hansen of Amherst, Gary (Lynette) Hansen of
Nelsonville, Paul (Kimberly) Hansen of Plover,
Thomas (Heidi) Hansen of Amherst, Lisa Hansen in
the Czech Republic, Jane (Lee) Wohlt of Fremont,
Angela (Kenneth) Dahle of Waupaca, two
step-granddaughters: Kimberly (Brandon)
Schwerdtfeger of Franksville, and Kelly Schlumpf
(Fiancé Peter Fengier) of New Berlin, seven great
granddaughters, three great grandsons, two
step-great granddaughters, and three step-great
grandsons. She is further survived by nieces,
nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was
preceded in death by her husband: Bud, a
grandson: Jason Yohn, her parents, five sisters:
Mary Reeve, Elsie Cartwright, Ann Rosin, Rosa
Grulke, and Effie McConnell, and three brothers:
John, William, and Bob Lawrence.

Nina was an active member of the Farmington
Lutheran Church, and had been involved with the
Ladies Aide and the Women’s Quilting Group for
many years. She also enjoyed the outdoors
including hunting, fishing, and gardening.

A funeral service will be held at the Farmington
Lutheran Church on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at
11:00 AM, with Reverend Mark Sabin, officiating.
Interment will be in the Sheridan Village
cemetery. Friends may call at the church on
Tuesday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The
Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst, WI is
assisting the family with arrangements.

Julia Swan

Funeral Services will be held at Holly Funeral
Home-Waupaca at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 21st,
2007, with Rev. Jim Bump, officiating. Interment
will be in the Almond Village cemetery, Almond.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 until 8
PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and on
Friday, 1 hour prior to service at the funeral
home.

Julia M. Swan, age 88, formerly of Almond, WI.,
passed away on Monday, September 17th, 2007 at
Stevens Point Care Center. She was born in
Youngstown, OH., on April 19, 1919, a daughter
of the late Raymond and Christine Mastabayvo.

Julia loved spending time with her grandchildren
and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed
reading and gardening. She was a member of
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Stevens
Point.

Survivors include 3 Children: Floyd (Joan) Swan
Jr., Waupaca, WI; Alfred Fred (Rosemary) Swan,
Almond, WI; Pat (David) Menke, Oshkosh, WI; 7
Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by a son, Richard Swan, a
grandson, Dean Swan, 4 brothers and a sister.

Funeral Services will be held at Holly Funeral
Home-Waupaca at 10:30 AM on Friday, September
21st, 2007, with Rev. Jim Bump, officiating.
Interment will be in the Almond Village cemetery,
Almond. Visitation will be held on Thursday from
4 until 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca
and on Friday, 1 hour prior to service at the
funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at
Stevens Point Care Center for all of their care
and compassion.

2007 at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church in
Amherst, WI. Father Robert Pedretti will preside.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening,
Sept. 19, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM with a prayer service
at 5:30 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in
Amherst and also one hour prior to the service on
Thursday at the church. Burial will be at St.
James Catholic cemetery in Amherst following the
services on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, a
memorial has been established in the name of Joseph
Carlson. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst
is assisting the family with arrangements.

JOSEPH A. CARLSON

APPLETON, WISCONSIN

FORMERLY OF AMHERST, WISCONSIN

Age 26 passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2007
in the Village of Amherst Jct., WI. He was born
May 19, 1981 in Stevens Point, WI; son of David
Carlson and Hazel Packer. On April 23, 2005, Joe
married Kati Boris at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel
Catholic Church – Fancher. Joe graduated from
Amherst High School in 1999. He belonged to the
Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout
in 1999.

Joe is survived by:

Mother: Hazel Packer of Amherst, WI

Father: David (Chris) Carlson of Iola, WI

He was preceded in death by his step-father, R.
Scott Packer and his maternal grandfather,
William Christensen.

Lutheran Church at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September
20th, with Reverends Jeffrey Holtan & Aaron
Winkelman officiating. Interment will be in the
Lakeside Memorial Park Waupaca, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be held Thursday 10-11 A.M. at
Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Dorothy D. Kluender, age 90, of Waupaca,
Wisconsin, went to Jesus' House as she said she
was going to do on Monday, September 17th, 2007
peacefully in the presence of her family at her
home. Dorothy was born in Merrill, Wisconsin on
October 15, 1916, she was the daughter of the
late John Ferdinand Robl and Clara Agnes Emma
(Schilling) Robl. On April 11, 1936, she married
Elmer Henry Kluender In Merrill, Wisconsin. He
preceded her in death on Dec 31, 1996. Dorothy
loved to bowl and enjoyed this well into her
later years. She also had the Proverbial Green
Thumb and could grow any type of flower or plant.
Her favorites were African Violets and Pansies.
Her faith was very important to her and she was a
lifetime member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in
Waupaca. Her number one priority in life was the
happiness and well being of her family and was
always there for us. She welcomed everyone into
her Heart and to everyone was like family. She
will be greatly missed by all. She is survived
by Sons: John (Lou Ann) Kluender, Little
Chute; Elmer (Butch) Kluender, Waupaca; Mark
Kluender, Waupaca; Daughters: Joann (Kenneth)
Jensen, Beaver Dam; Delores (Larry) Hoppe,
Oshkosh; Arlene Robl, Oshkosh; Mary Bandt,
Wausau; Brother: Carl (Donna) Robl, Appleton;
Lila Shauger, Appleton; Nina (Kenneth) Anderson,
Appleton. She is also survived by 16
grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great
great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her Husband:
Elmer, Four Sons: Robert, Harold, James &
Gary; Two Granddaughters: Sharon Lehman & Dawn
Bandt; Two Sons in law: Eugene (Turk) Robl &
Dennis Bandt and Five sisters and Two brothers.
Funeral Service will be held at Immanuel
Evangelical Lutheran Church at 11:00 A.M. on
Thursday, September 20th, with Reverends Jeffrey
Holtan & Aaron Winkelman officiating. Interment
will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park Waupaca,
Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Thursday
10-11 A.M. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran
Church. The family wishes to express a special
Thank You to Theda Care at Home for the awesome
care and support they all gave to Dorothy and us,
especially Jamie.
