Jesse B. *Jess* Brown, age 90, of Waupaca, WI,
passed from this life on Sunday, December 2nd,
2007 at his home. He was born in Trosper,
Kentucky on August 5, 1917, the son of James
Hawker and Arminda (Miller) Brown. He married
Evelyn *Evie* Lindskoog on April 5, 1946 in
Tampa, FL. They made their home in Waupaca.
Jess worked as a Journeyman Electrician for 35
years. He was a member of the Church of Christ
at Chain O' Lakes. Jess was a devoted husband
and father and enjoyed gardening, playing
cribbage, and studying the bible.

Jess is survived by Wife: Evie Brown, Waupaca;
Sons: Keith (Becky) Brown, Rogers, AR; Shawn
(Robyn) Brown, Bethalto, IL; Dru (Melonie) Brown,
Waupaca, WI; Daughters: Laurie (Bill) Mielke,
Wisconsin Dells, WI; Jodie (Jim) Montgomery,
Waupaca, WI; Twenty-six Grandchildren; Twelve
Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
his Parents; a Daughter: Christine Henricksen;
Granddaughter: April Henricksen; three brothers
and two sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on
Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Holly Funeral
Home in Waupaca, with Ernie Lowry officiating.
Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery in
Amherst. A visitation will be held at the
funeral home on Friday from 12 noon until the
time of the service.

Charles F. Giordano

Memorial Service will be held at Holly Funeral Home
in Waupaca at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 5th,
with Mr. Thomas Masaros officiating. Visitation
will be held Wednesday 11-12 P.M. at the Holly
Funeral Home in Waupaca.

Mr. Charles F. Giordano, age 64, of Waupaca,
Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, December 2nd, 2007
at Riverside Medical Center. Chuck was born in
Chicago, Illinois on May 5, 1943, he was the son
of the late Sam and Laura (Sherman) Giordano. On
Oct 31, 1985, he married Rose (Talbot) Giordano
in Antioch, Illinois. Chuck enjoyed gardening,
hunting, listening to old music and spending time
with his family and friends.

He is survived by his Wife: Rosemarie Giordano,
Waupaca, WI; Children: Charles Giordano; Laura
Grady, Arizona; Cathy Anderson, Antioch; Anthony
Giordano, Antioch; Step Children: Debra (John)
Johnson, Joliet, Ill; Diana (Charles) Gibbons,
Monee, Ill.; Helen (Donald) Zubor, Bristol, WI;
Steven (Gina) Walczak, Waukegan, Ill; Sisters:
Rose (Dillany) Harville, Alabama; Agnes (Charles)
Gleason; Susan (James) Smith, Antioch, Ill. He is
also survived by 8 grandchildren. Charles was
preceded in death by a Brother: Frank
Biamonte

Memorial Service will be held at Holly Funeral
Home in Waupaca at 12 noon on Wednesday, December
5th, with Mr. Thomas Masaros officiating.

the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca.

Norbert C. Schroeder

Residence: Waupaca

September 10, 1917 - December 8, 2007
Services: St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community-Waupaca

Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 12 Noon
at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community with Father
Brian Belongia, officiating. Interment will be in
the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic cemetery with Full
Military Rites to follow. Visitation will be on
Sat. morning from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the church.

Norbert C. Schroeder, age 90, of Waupaca, Wi,
passed away Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Crystal
River Nursing & Rehab. Center. Norbert was born
in Beaver Dam, WI on September 10, 1917, the son
of the late August and Irene (Ameden) Schroeder.
On May 29, 1945, Norbert married Esther R.
Kryzanek in Milwaukee and she preceded him in
death on January 21, 2004. He is a member of St.
Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca. He
served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Norbert is survived by a son: Robert Schroeder
of Wausau, WI; a daughter: Patricia Young of
Waupaca, WI; three grandchildren: Amy (Dan)
Dolan; Karen (Joe) Meyer and Cathy Young and his
great grandchildren: Nicole & Ashton and a
nephew: Michael Kryzanek. Norbert was also
preceded in death by a sister, Norma and a great
granddaughter, Ashley.

Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 12
Noon at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community
with Father Brian Belongia, officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene
Catholic cemetery with Full Military Rites to
follow. Visitation will be on Sat. morning from
10 AM to 12 Noon at the church. Holly Funeral
Home is assisting the family with
arrangements.

Esther Mattice

Esther M. Mattice, age 88, of Wild Rose, WI, was
called to her eternal rest on Wednesday, December
12th, 2007 at the Wild Rose Community Memorial
Hospital. She was born in the Town of Rosendale,
Fond du Lac County, on April 5, 1919, the
daughter of Ewald and Josephine (Katarzynski)
Gomoll. Esther graduated from Redgranite High
School in 1937, and attended Waushara County
Teachers College (County Normal). She taught
rural schools in Waushara and Adams counties.

On June 9, 1942, Esther was united in marriage to
Glen H. Mattice in San Francisco, CA, while Glen
served in the U.S. Army . She lived in Sausalito,
CA until June of 1943 when Glen was sent to serve
over seas. When he returned in 1945, they farmed
near Omro for 3 years before moving to their farm
near Wild Rose in 1949. Glen passed away in
November of 1999, after 57 years of marriage.

Esther was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church,
Wild Rose, and was a strong witness to her faith.
She was active in the church's Fellowship Society,
the Altar Guild, and the ladies quilting group.
She had taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible
School. Esther also participated in open class
entries at the Waushara County Fair for over 40
years, during which time she won numerous blue
ribbons and several Grand Champion ribbons in
various classes. She also sold Stanley Home
Products for over 50 years. Esther loved to
garden, especially loved flowers -- and the color
purple! She was a very loving wife and mother,
and was very proud of her grandsons.

Esther is survived by daughters: Patricia
(Harold *Bud*) Cutts-Thompson, Redgranite, WI;
Margaret (Matthew) Young, Springbrook, WI;
grandchildren: Christopher (Beth) Cutts, Wild
Rose, WI; Geoffrey (Robin Rice) Cutts, Waupaca,
WI; Gregory Stoddart, Springbrook, WI; Jesse
Stoddart, Spooner, WI; great-granddaughter:
Makayla Stoddart; sisters-in-law; Marion J.
Gomoll; Marian Gomoll; brothers and
sisters-in-law: Peter Mattice; Alfred and Betty
Mattice; Charles and Shirley Rodgers; Robert and
Wanita Mattice; god-daughters: Helen (Tony)
Souder; Joan (Ronald) Kenowski; Donna (Ross)
Miller. She is further survived by nieces,
nephews, and many friends, especially those of her
Christian family of the St. Paul congregation.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, Glen; an infant sister; four brothers,
John, Erich, Harvey and William Gomoll.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday,
December 16, 2007 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in
Wild Rose, with Reverend Dale Bahls officiating.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in
Oak Hill cemetery in Wild Rose. Relatives and
friends may call on Saturday from 4 PM until 7 PM
at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose and again
on Sunday from 1PM until the time of the service
at the church.

Margaret Carey

Residence: formerly of Amherst, WI

March 26, 1925 - December 16, 2007
Services: Amherst United Methodist Church

Amherst, WI

Memorial Services will be held at Amherst United
Methodist Church, Amherst, at 2:00 PM on Wednesday,
December 19th, 2007, with Reverend James Scott
officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the
Central WI Veterans Memorial cemetery at a later
date. Memorial Visitation will be held on
Wednesday, from 1 PM until the time of the service
at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be
made to the Amherst United Methodist Church Sunday
School.

Margaret K. Carey, age 82, of Waupaca, WI.,
formerly of Amherst passed away on Sunday,
December 16th, 2007 at Riverside Medical Center in
Waupaca. She was born in Almond, WI., on March
26, 1925, a daughter of the late Adolph Fredrick
and Ethel P. (Ward) Hetzel.

Margaret married Kenneth Carey on October 18,
1943 in Milwaukee. She was a member of Amherst
United Methodist Church in Amherst. Margaret was
also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America,
the American Legion Auxiliary and the Amherst
United Methodist Womens Group

She is survived by her Husband: Kenneth Carey,
Waupaca, WI; Children: Dennis (Gwen) Carey,
Wausau, WI; Caren (Robert) Mittelsteadt, Waupaca,
WI; Janice (Dennis) Krusick, Wausau, WI; Cindy
(Donald) Maggio, Waupaca, WI; Scott Carey,
Amherst, WI; Sisters-in-law: Belma Hetzel,
Muskego, WI; Edna Carey, Waupaca, WI. She is also
survived by 8 grandchildren, and 16 great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
parents, a grandson, and 4 brothers.

Memorial Services will be held at Amherst United
Methodist Church, Amherst, at 2:00 PM on
Wednesday, December 19th, 2007, with Reverend
James Scott officiating. Interment of cremains
will be in the Central WI Veterans Memorial
cemetery at a later date. Memorial Visitation
will be held on Wednesday, from 1 PM until the
time of the service at the church. In lieu of
flowers, memorials can be made to the Amherst
United Methodist Church Sunday School.

Judy Johnson

Residence: Waupaca, Wisconsin

December 22, 1948 - December 14, 2007

Funeral Service will be on Tuesday evening at 6:30
PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Reverend
Dr. Charles Tews, officiating. Visitation will be
on Tuesday from 4 to 6:30 PM at the funeral home.

Judy L. Johnson, age 58, of Waupaca, WI, died
Friday, December 14, 2007 at Riverside Medical
Center. Judy was born in New London, WI on
December 22, 1948, the daughter of John and
Audrey (Dutton) Pufahl. Judy worked for over 33
years at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in the Food
Service Dept. Judy is survived by her Fiance' &
Soul Mate: James Rice of Waupaca; her sisters:
Janis (Tim) Schroeder of Waupaca; Ellen (Robert)
Weller of Waupaca and Susan (Eric) Brehmer of
Waupaca; her Half-Brother: Chuck Pufahl of
Waupaca; her Half-Sister: Pat Montague in
California and Jim's Children: Todd (Adrienne)
Rice of Waupaca and Tammy (Chris) Ebert of
Weyauwega. Also surviving are nieces, nephews
other relatives and friends. Judy was preceded in
death by her father, John Pufahl, her mother
Audrey Davidson and her brother Tom Bishop.
Funeral Service will be on Tuesday evening at 6:30
PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Reverend
Dr. Charles Tews, officiating. Visitation will be
on Tuesday from 4 to 6:30 PM at the funeral home.
