Services:

A Funeral Service will be on Friday, December 21,
2007 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Funeral Home in
Waupaca. Father Brian Belongia will preside. A
visitation will be held on Thursday evening,
December 20, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Holly
Funeral Home and also on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00
AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at the
Central WI Veterans Memorial cemetery in King
following the services on Friday. The Holly Funeral
Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with
arrangements.

EDNA T. SPRINGSTEEN

WAUPACA, WISCONSIN

Age 86 passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2007
at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. She
was born November 28, 1921 in Chicago, IL;
daughter of Andrew and Estel (Kruszynski) Swortz.
On February 9, 1946, Edna married Alvin “Bud”
Springsteen in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in
death on December 17, 1996. Edna and Bud liked
being “snowbirds” and escaping to Florida in the
winter. She also liked traveling with her sister,
Florence, and her brother-in-law, Earl, to Hawaii
and other destinations. Edna enjoyed bowling,
gardening, decorating her house, and most of all
loved spending time with her granddaughters,
Melanie and Meghan, and her great-granddaughters,
Brooke and Josie.

Edna is survived by:

Sons: Paul (Gail) Springsteen of Waupaca, WI

John Springsteen of Waupaca, WI

Grandchildren: Melanie (Josh) Peterson of
Waupaca, WI

Meghan Springsteen of Waupaca, WI

Great-Grandchildren: Brooke and Josie Peterson
of Waupaca, WI

Brothers: Ernest Swortz of Chicago, IL

Clarence “Mike” Swortz of Chicago, IL

Sister: Irene Boyer of Waupaca, WI

Sister-in-law: Marisa Swortz of Chicago, IL

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, Alvin “Bud” Springsteen, two brothers,
Theodore “Sonny” and Albert Swortz, and two
sisters, Florence Nelson and Theresa Swortz.

Edward R. Sexton

Residence: Waupaca, Wisconsin

August 26, 1925 - December 21, 2007
Services:

It was Edwards wish to be cremated and no funeral
service will be held. His cremains will be
scattered on the family plot in Daly City,
California.

Mr. Edward R. Sexton, age 82, of Waupaca, passed
away Friday, December 21st, 2007 at his residence.

Mr. Sexton was born in Manila, Philippines on
August 26, 1925, he was the son of the late Inman
and Emma Lily (Roberson) Sexton. He served in the
United States Army during World War II. Edward
worked in San Francisco as a Merchant Seaman for
43 years. On August 23, 2000, he married Oather
P. Swinford in Waupaca. He is survived by his
Wife: Oather Sexton , Waupaca; Son: Colin Sexton,
California; Daughters: Cindy (Edward) Chappa,
Plainfield; Cathy (Michael) LeCompte, California;
Step-Daughter: Kathy (John) Sucharski, Waupaca,
Wisconsin. Sisters: Pearl Brett and Ethel
Salvador, both of California. He was preceded in
death by two brothers, Freddy and Arthur Sexton.
It was Edwards wish to be cremated and no funeral
service will be held. His cremains will be
scattered on the family plot in Daly City,
California.

James Hansen, Sr

Services: Holly Funeral Home - Waupaca

A memorial service will be held at the Holly Funeral
Home in Waupaca on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 7:00
PM, with Mr. Jeff Fletcher, officiating. Interment
will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in
Waupaca on Friday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. In
lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in
the name of James J. Hansen, Sr. The Holly Funeral
Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with
arrangements.

JAMES J. HANSEN, SR

WAUPACA, WI

Age 60 – died on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at
the Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah,
WI. He was born on April 16, 1947 in Waupaca, WI,
the son of Harry and Etola “Toni” (Quimby) Hansen.
He married Sue Hart on May 30, 1982 in Lake Tahoe,
NV.

Jim is survived by his wife: Sue, three children:
James (Shelly) Hansen, Jr of Waupaca, Michelle
(Mike) Reader of Waupaca, and Chad (Jenny) Hansen
of Waupaca, ten grandchildren: Bennett, Melany,
Conner, EmeryAnne, CarsonLeigh, Jackson, Samuel,
Alexander, Samantha, and Chad Elliot, his parents:
Toni and Jim Bowersox of Waupaca, a brother: Gary
(Louise) Hansen of Waupaca, and a sister: Kathy
Hadley of Sturgeon Bay. He is further survived by
four nephews. He was preceded in death by his
father, Harry, and a granddaughter, Abigail
Hansen.

Jim had been the owner/operator of an automotive
paint sales business in the Waupaca area. He was a
former member of the Waupaca Volunteer Fire Dept.
and had served with the fire department for many
years. He had also been an EMT with the former
Holly Ambulance Service in Waupaca. He enjoyed
boating, snow skiing, and golfing.

A memorial service will be held at the Holly
Funeral Home in Waupaca on Friday, December 28,
2007 at 7:00 PM, with Mr. Jeff Fletcher,
officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeside
Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at the
Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Friday evening
from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial
has been established in the name of James J.

Marion J. Plambeck

Residence: Waupaca

September 7, 1918 - December 21, 2007
Services:

Mrs. Marion J. Plambeck, age 89, Waupaca,
Wisconsin , passed away Friday, December 21st,
2007 at her residence. Mrs. Plambeck was born in
Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on September 7, 1918, she
was the daughter of the late Otto and Margaret
(Ohlssen) Bruhn. On June 14, 1945 she married
Earl Plambeck in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She is survived by her Husband: Earl Plambeck,
Waupaca; Daughter: Lynn (Andy) Dillavou,
Charlotte, NC; Grandchildren: Kimberly Anderson,
San Diego, CA; Elizabeth (Clint) Martz, Fort
Collins, CO; Terry Anderson, San Diego. Marion
was preceded in death by Two Sisters and One
Brother.

It was Marion's wish that she be cremated and no
funeral service will be held.

Anita Nelson

Residence: King, Wisconsin

September 25, 1913 - December 22, 2007
Services:

Funeral Service will be on Friday, Dec. 28 at 11 AM
at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Reverend Dr.
Charles Tews, officiating. Burial will be in
Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. Visitation will
be on Friday morning from 10 AM until the time of
services at the funeral home.

Anita C. Nelson, age 94, passed away Saturday,
December 22, 2007 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home,
King, WI. Anita was born in Appleton, WI on
September 25, 1913, the daughter of the late
Edwin and Amelia (Siewert) Luedtke. She married
Harold Nelson in October of 1936 and he preceded
her in death on June 16, 1949. She was a member
of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca and a member
of the VFW Auxiliary. Anita worked as a food
demonstrator, was the owner-operator of the Little
Store in Waupaca and retired as a receptionist at
the Veterans Home. She enjoyed bowling, fishing
and crochet. Anita is survived by her children:
Richard Nelson of Menasha; Judith (Thomas) Winch
of Waupaca; her grandchildren: Winnie (Etienne)
Mejia of Appleton; Matthew Winch of Brooklyn,
N.Y.; Emily (Doug) Boettge of Edina, MN and Lisa
(Ken) Meyer of Grand Chute; her five great
grandchildren; her sister: Adeline Brehmer of New
London and Adeline's children: Joan, Jean, Jerri;
Jim & Jan. and her husbands family: Mary (Merrold)
Prahl of Waupaca. Anita is also survived by many
nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Harold Nelson,
her sister, Alice Stuewer Bley and her daughter in
law, Judith (Schramm) Nelson.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, Dec. 28 at 11
AM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Reverend
Dr. Charles Tews, officiating. Burial will be in
Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. Visitation
will be on Friday morning from 10 AM until the
time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of
flowers, a memorial fund has been established in
Anita's name.

Elizabeth M. Wenberg

Residence: Waupaca

January 19, 1912 - December 25, 2007
Services: First United Methodist Church-Waupaca

Funeral Service will be on Friday, Dec. 28 at 10 AM
at First United Methodist Church in Waupaca with
Reverend Michael Weigand, officiating. Interment
will be in the Spring at Lakeside Memorial Park in
Waupaca. Visitation will be on Friday morning from
9 AM until the time of services at the church.

Elizabeth M. (Beth) Wenberg, age 95, of DePere and
Waupaca passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at
Heartland Hospice in Menasha Beth was born in
Town of Byron, WI on January 19, 1912, the
daughter of the late Dr. W. G. and Katherine L.
Clark. Beth graduated from Marinette High School
in 1931. She entered Lawrence University
(Conservatory of Music) in the fall of 1931.
While there, she met her future husband, Herbert
Wenberg of Oneida, WI. They were married
following their graduation on June 10, 1935. Beth
and Herbert lived in De Pere for 33 years. They
later retired in 1970 and moved to their
retirement home on the Chain O' Lakes in Waupaca.
While in De Pere, Herbert was Vice President of
Nicolet Paper Company and Beth was Director of the
De Pere Symphonette in the 1940's as well as
Director of the Choir at the De Pere Presbyterian
Church where she and Herbert were active members.
Beth taught music in the De Pere School System for
several years, and also gave private piano lessons
in her home. She continued to give private piano
lessons in Waupaca for several years. Beth was a
member of the Green Bay AAUW as well as the
Eastern Star in De Pere. While living in Waupaca,
Beth and Herbert were members of the First United
Methodist Church. Beth has spent the last several
years living at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home in
Menasha.

Beth is survived by her children: Edwin (Judy)
Wenberg of Warsaw, MO; Barbara French of DePere;
David (Brenda) Wenberg of Waupaca; Jean (Roger)
Bara of Peru, IL; Mary (Randy) White of La Salle,
IL and William (Linda) Wenberg of Neenah;
seventeen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren
and two great-great grandchildren also survive.
Beth was preceded in death by her husband,
Herbert, her son Thomas, two sons in law, Wayne
French and Richard Cady and two sisters, Katherine
and Dorothy.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, Dec. 28 at 10
AM at First United Methodist Church in Waupaca
with Reverend Michael Weigand, officiating.
Interment will be in the Spring at Lakeside
Memorial Park in Waupaca. Visitation will be on
Friday morning from 9 AM until the time of
services at the church. In lieu of flowers,
memorials appreciated to the Herbert & Elizabeth
Wenberg Scholarship Fund at Lawrence University.
The family wishes to express deepest gratitude to
the staff members of Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home
and Heartland Hospice for their care of our mother
over the past several years.
