Jean A. Stiebs, age 68, of Waupaca, WI, passed
away Tuesday, December 25th, 2007. She was born
in Waupaca, WI on September 18, 1939, the daughter
of Fred and Elaine (Kimbel) Jensen.
Jean is survived by Children: Rick Stiebs,
Waupaca, WI; Carol (Trent) Keoppler, Ogdensburg,
WI; Jeff (Barb) Stiebs, Waupaca, WI; Lisa Stiebs,
Berlin, WI; Jon Stiebs, Waupaca, WI; Eight
Grandchildren; Four Great Grandchildren;
Brother: Dale Jensen, Waupaca, WI. She is
further survived by other relatives and
friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on
Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Holly Funeral
Home in Waupaca with Reverend Fredrick Lueders
officiating. Interment will be in Lind Center
cemetery, Town Lind, Waupaca County. A
visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral
home from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.

Home in Waupaca at 11 AM on Monday, December 31st,
2007, with Reverend Janice Kuder officiating.
Interment will at Big Falls cemetery at a later
date.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 until 7 PM
at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and on Monday,
1 hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Ruth O. Petersen, age 90, of Waupaca, WI., passed
away on Thursday, December 27th, 2007 at Bethany
Home in Waupaca. Ruth was born in the Town of
Lind, Waupaca Co., on October 9, 1917, a daughter
of the late Joseph and Anna (Stanley) Woolsey.
Ruth married
Herman Petersen on December 14,
1935. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1997.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in
Big Falls.
She is survived by a Son: Leroy Donald
(Nathalee) Petersen, Waupaca, WI; a Daughter:
Joann Stevens, Waupaca, WI; a Granddaughter:
Debra Hoffman, Pulaski, WI; 2 Great
Granddaughters: Rachel and Hilary Hoffman; 2
Sisters: Beulah Faehling, Waupaca, WI and
Josephine Pope, Florida; a Brother: Robert
(Lorraine) Woolsey, Wasilla, AK. Nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends further survive.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, her
husband and two brothers - Bill and Fred.
Funeral Services will be held at the Holly
Funeral Home in Waupaca at 11 AM on Monday,

HARRY R. OLKIEWICZ
WILD ROSE, WISCONSIN
FORMERLY OF ALMOND AND WAUPACA, WISCONSIN
Age 93 passed away on Wednesday, December 26,
2007 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital in
Wild Rose, WI. He was born November 26, 1914 in
the Town of Rose, Waushara Co., WI; son of Frank
and Anna (Wishinski) Olkiewicz. On April 23,
1938, Harry married
Helen F. O’Keefe in Almond,
WI. She preceded him in death on October 4, 2000.
Harry was the owner/operator of Harry’s Bar in
Almond for many years. He retired from the food
service department at the Wisconsin Veterans Home
in King. He enjoyed playing cards, especially
cribbage and will be sadly missed by his family
and friends.
Harry is survived by:

and Devin Buehler
Grandson-in-law: David Moore
Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other
relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank
and Anna Olkiewicz; wife, Helen Olkiewicz;
granddaughter, Vicki Moore; six brothers, John,
Bruno, Joseph, Charles, Edward, and William
Olkiewicz; and four sisters, Lillian Heft, Helen
Mushinski, Stella Shields, and Cecelia Lutz.

Veterans Memorial cemetery in King, WI in the
spring. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been
established to the First United Methodist Church in
Waupaca and to the Salvation Army
. The Holly

LLOYD D. MYERS
WAUPACA, WISCONSIN
Age 93 passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2007
surrounded by his family at Bethany Home in
Waupaca where he was a resident for the past 3
years. He was born August 30, 1914 in
Minneapolis, KS; son of John A. and Margaret M.
(Schmidt) Myers. On May 8, 1938, Lloyd married
Naomi M. Warren in Minneapolis, KS. He served
during WWII in the U.S. Army
Air Corp from
1942-1946. Lloyd worked for 33 years as a sales
manager for Allis Chalmers Manufacturing Company
in Milwaukee, WI before retiring in 1971. After
retiring, he became manager of the Chamber of
Commerce in Minneapolis, KS from 1971-1976. Lloyd
and Naomi moved to Waupaca, WI in 1976 and Lloyd
served as manager for the Chamber of Commerce in
Waupaca until 1985. During his years in Waupaca,
Lloyd also became the Executive Director of the
Waupaca Industrial Development Corporation. He
was a member of the Waupaca Lion’s Club, member of
the Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. 123 and O.E.S. 107,
and worked with the Boy Scouts. His favorite
hobbies included playing golf and bridge. Lloyd
was a member of the First United Methodist Church
in Waupaca, WI.

Daughter-in-law: Barbara Myers of Onalaska,
WI
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and
Margaret Myers; grandson, Shane Anderson; brother,
Darrell Myers; and two sisters, Edna Smith and
Erma Arlene Myers.

Agnes M. Somers, age 95, formerly of Amherst,
passed away on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 at
Harmony Living Center in Stevens Point. She wast
born in Town of Buena Vista, Portage Co., WI., on
January 29, 1912, a daughter of the late Jacob
and Gertrude (Shuda) Cieslewicz.
Agnes married
Ambrose A. Somers on January 14,
1935 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
He preceded her in death on December 25, 1999.
She was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel
Catholic Church. She was also a member and Past
President of the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic
Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening, flowers,
baking, sewing, crocheting, craft working and
playing cards..
She is survived by her Children: Joseph
(Audrey) Somers, Stevens Point, WI; Ambrose
(Linda) Somers, Amherst, WI. Gertrude (Don)
Peskie, Amherst, WI; Agnes (James) Peplinski,
Custer, WI; Christine (Tony) Trzebiatowski,
Amherst, WI; Ruth (Allen) Kihm, Minot, ND;
Margaret (James) McGuire, Georgetown, KY; 20
Grandchildren; 35 Great Grandchildren; a Sister:
Helen Niedbalski, Stevens Point, WI; a Brother:
Stanley Cieslewicz, Deming, NM; and special dear
friend, Elsie Bauer. She was preceded in death by
her parents, husband, 1 son, 2 daughters, 2
grandsons, 3 great grandchildren, three sisters,
and seven brothers.
