VIRGINIA J. LEMBCKE

WAUPACA, WISCONSIN

Age 81, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2008
at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. She
was born October 10, 1926 in Chicago, IL; daughter
of Hubert and Lydia (Meyer) Dorman. Virginia
spent her childhood in Appleton and graduated from
Appleton High School in 1944. After high school,
she attended Central Bible College in Springfield,
MO and graduated in 1947. On April 28, 1951,
Virginia married Byron Lembcke in Appleton, WI.

Virginia is survived by:

Husband of 57 years: Byron Lembcke of Waupaca,
WI

Children: Bruce (Marti) Lembcke of Appleton,
WI

Nancy (Bruce) Meyer of Minnetrista, MN

Todd (Sheila) Lembcke of Waupaca, WI

Grandchildren: Christopher and Tyler Lembcke of
Appleton, WI

Mandi, Erik, and Jared Meyer of Minnetrista,
MN

Joshua, Jordan, Justin, Jarrett, and Isabella
Lembcke of Waupaca, WI

Sisters: Annabelle (Bronnie) Stroud of Hilbert,
WI

Faye (Tom) Mader of Appleton, WI

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her
brother and sister-in-law, Clifford (Lassie)
Dorman.

A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, June 14,
2008 at 11:00 AM at the First Assembly of God
Church in Waupaca, WI. Reverend Bob Bohn will
officiate. A visitation will be held from 9:00 –
11:00 AM at the church on Saturday. Burial will
be at Spencer Lake Memorial Park in the Town of
Lind. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is
assisting the family with arrangements.

Allan Krueger

Funeral Services will be held at the Holly Funeral
Home in Waupaca at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 16th,
with Father Paul Vanden Hogen, officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic
cemetery Waupaca. Visitation will be held on
Sunday, from 4 - 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in
Waupaca and on Monday, from 10 AM until the time of
the service at the funeral home.

Allan F. Krueger, age 85, of Waupaca, passed away
on Wednesday, June 11th, 2008 at Riverside Medical
Center in Waupaca. He was born in Town of
Royalton on February 1, 1923, a son of the late
Gustave and Isabel (Paronto) Krueger.

He married Effie Severson on December 23, 1948.
Allan was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic
Community in Waupaca. He served in the U.S. Army
during W.W. II and the Korean War. Allan worked
to the Waupaca Co. Highway Department for 39
years.

Survivors include his Wife: Effie Krueger,
Waupaca, WI; Children: Micheal (Laurie) Krueger,
Waupaca, WI; Mark Krueger, Waupaca, WI; Linda
(Dale) Matheson, Amherst, WI; Marsha Ziebell,
Waupaca, WI; Grandchildren: Heather Krueger;
Paul (Mary) Krueger; Joseph Allan (Jessica)
Krueger; Brad (Kara) Matheson; Stephanie (Sean)
Broom; Sam (Pamela Babino) Ziebell; Jenny (Jason
Rohde) Ziebell; Angie (Ron) Lund; Andrew Krueger;
Great Grandchildren: Noah and Calli Krueger,
Joshua Moloney-Krueger, Julia Krueger and Taelyn
Lund; Brother: John (Donna) Krueger. He was
preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter,
Mary Ann

Funeral Services will be held at the Holly
Funeral Home in Waupaca at 11:00 AM on Monday,
June 16th, with Father Paul Vanden Hogen,
officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary
Magdalene Catholic cemetery Waupaca. Visitation
will be held on Sunday, from 4 - 8 PM at the Holly
Funeral Home in Waupaca and on Monday, from 10 AM
until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Alfred *Al* L. Mattice, age 80, of Wild Rose, WI,
passed away Wednesday, June 11th, 2008 at the Wild
Rose Community Memorial Hospital. He was born in
the Town of Aurora, Waushara County, WI on July
14, 1927, the son of Henry and Lorena (Davenport)
Mattice. Al married Betty Cook on March 24, 1956
in Sturgeon Bay. He was a veteran of the United
States Army serving during the Korean War. Al
worked for the DNR for thirty years retiring in
1984 from the Wild Rose Fish Hatchery.

He is survived by his Wife: Betty Mattice, Wild
Rose, WI; Sons: Gail (Trudy) Mattice, Wautoma,
WI; David (Barbara) Mattice, Viroqua, WI;
Grandchildren: Tyler & Travis Mattice; Jennifer
(Mark) Kuhn; Eric Mattice; Aaron Mattice; One
Great Grandchild: Gabriel Kuhn; Brothers: Peter
Mattice, Redgranite, WI; Robert (Wanita) Mattice,
Redgranite, WI; Sister: Shirley (Charles) Rodgers,
Berlin, WI. He is further survived by nieces,
nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Al was preceded in death by his parents;
Brothers: Charles, Glen, Harold, and Ralph; and
Sisters: Ruth, Dorothy, Charlotte, and Bernice.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon on
Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the St. Paul Lutheran
Church in Wild Rose, with Reverend Dale Bahls
officiating. Interment of cremains with full
military rites will be in Wild Rose Union
cemetery, Town Wautoma, Wisconsin. A Memorial
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 AM until
the time of the service at the church. The Holly
Funeral Home of Wild Rose assisted the family with
arrangements.

Melvina Cummings

Residence: Waupaca, WI

July 10, 1920 - June 13, 2008

Melvina M. Cummings, age 87, of Waupaca, WI,
passed away Friday, June 13th, 2008 at Crystal
River Nursing Home in Waupaca. She was born in
O'Fallon, IL on July 10, 1920, the daughter of
the late George and Mary (Davis) Nelson. Melvina
married James E. Cummings on August 31, 1940 in
Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on June 26,
1982. She devoted her life to caring for her
family and pets in Chicago, Williams Bay, WI, and
Waupaca.

She is survived by Sons: James (Ruby) Cummings
Jr., Lake Geneva, WI; Robert (Nancy) Cummings,
Waupaca, WI; Daughters: Sharon Hay, Racine, WI;
Mary Pat (Richard) Teaschner, Montello, WI; Eleven
Grandchildren; Nine Great Grandchildren; Sister:
Betty Milcarek, Las Vegas, NV; Special Nieces:
Donna (Ed) Achrem, Las Vegas, NV; Marcia (George)
Chami, Las Vegas, NV.

Melvina was preceded in death by Husband: James;
Daughter: Nancy Quick; Parents; Step-father: Carl
Davis; Brothers: Earl and Elmo Davis; and
Brother-in-law: Don Milcarek.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1PM on Monday,
June 16, 2008 at the Steinke Funeral Home in Lake
Geneva, WI, with Father Terry Huebner officiating.
Interment will be in the Oak Hill cemetery in
Lake Geneva. A Visitation will be held on Monday
from 12 Noon until the time of the service at the
Steinke Funeral Home. The Holly Funeral Home of
Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the
Crystal River Nursing home for the care Melvina
received for the past six years.

2008 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran
Church in Waupaca, WI. Rev. Jeffrey Holtan and Rev.
Aaron Winkelman will officiate. A visitation will
be held on Wednesday from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the
church. Burial will be at Springwater (First)
cemetery in the Town of Springwater following the
services on Wednesday. A memorial has been
established to offset Bob’s QVC Home Shopping
Network bills. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is
assisting the family with arrangements.

RUTH A. CARLOVSKY

WAUPACA, WISCONSIN

Age 70, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at
Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI. She was born
January 24, 1938 in Fond du Lac, WI; daughter of
Lyle L. and Marie C. (Baurichter) Burnett. On
November 5, 1960, Ruth married Robert Carlovsky at
St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fond du
Lac, WI. Ruth enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing,
crocheting, and most of all, spending time with
her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother,
and grandmother. Ruth was a member of Immanuel
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI.

Ruth is survived by:

Children: Jill Carlovsky of Weston, WI

Michael Carlovsky of Winnebago, IL

AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca with
Reverend Dr. Charles Tews, officiating. Military
Graveside Services will follow at Lakeside Memorial
Park, Waupaca. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June
17 from 4 to 7 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca
and on Weds. morning from 10 AM until the time of
services at the church. Memorials greatly
appreciated to Waupaca Fine Arts Festival, Gerald C.
Knoepfel Music Scholarship at Waupaca High School or
Winchester Academy.

Gerald C. (Mr. K) Knoepfel, age 78, of Waupaca,
WI, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008 at his
residence. Mr. K was born in Fort Atkinson, WI on
July 27, 1929, the son of the late Claude L. and
Dorthea L.A. (Voss) Knoepfel. Jerry was united in
marriage to Selma Esneault on July 10, 1965,
sharing 42 years together. Jerry was the
Vocal-Music teacher at Waupaca High School for 29
years, retiring in 1991. His career span over 37
years of teaching in Wauzeka, WI, France, Germany
and Japan. He was a veteran of the Korean
Conflict and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church
in Waupaca. Jerry was the founder/chairman of the
Waupaca Fine Arts Festival bringing cultural
programs to Waupaca. He was the conductor of the
Waupaca Community Choir-Civic Orchestra and a
member and past president of Winchester Academy
and operated Music Note Tours to the opera.
Jerry is survived by his wife: Selma Knoepfel of
Waupaca; his brother: Lloyd Knoepfel of Fort
Atkinson and his sister-in-law: Corinne (Ray)
Robert. Also surviving are nephews, nieces,
cousins, close family friends, Wayne & Laurie
Vestal and countless friends and ex-students.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and an
aunts & uncles.
Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 18 at
11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca with
Reverend Dr. Charles Tews, officiating. Military
